"Papa!Where are you?"

The young teen knew how her 'father' hates early mornings.Especially,after he had his nightly patrols.Being an Underground Hero is definitely a tiring job,considering the fact your shift takes up the majority of your usual sleeping schedule.The teen will never understand how her parent is casually doing just fine despite only sleeping a few short hours before heading off to his daily work.

Maika Aizawa would never stop being both impress and concerned.After being adopted nine years ago,by Shouta Aizawa;Pro Hero EraserHead, she never thought that the world of heroes would actually be that tiring.But it does make sense,knowing how stubborn villains can be.

Living with a pro hero would seem like the best thing that could happen,right?Not in Maika's case.

Her lifestyle with her single parents was quite...normal.
She would wake up,have breakfast,do some homeschooling and such,do whatever she could to entertain herself and just spend the rest of the day with her Father.Simple,right?

That's when she heard how Shouta had expelled his entire class on the first day of school last year.The first day.
Maika was not only shocked to hear what her Father did,but was somewhat happy that Shouta would be able to spend time with her often.And yes,when they mean 'spending time together',they meant they would take occasional naps and play dates with the cats.

Shouta didn't think this 13 year old girl would the light of his life.His friends definitely knew he wasn't interested in raising a child.So when they discovered the little girl Shouta saved,They Immediately began to pester him and make sure his Daughter was in good shape.Not only did they did that to pester him,but they also did it so that could spend time with their niece.

As much as Shouta was annoyed with their shenanigans,he was thankful he had someone to watch over his problem child while he was away.

Now back to the present...

Maika peeped into Shouta's room to see the man sitting up on his bed,lazily rubbing his eyes."O-Ohayō,papa...",she greeted,sending him a soft smile.

"Ohayō,Maika..."He replied,finally getting off the bed and making his way to the door Maika stood in.

"S-sorry...I woke you up p-pretty early..."The adult ruffled Maika's hair as she spoke."Its fine,don't worry.Anyways,I'll go ahead and get ready."

The teen nodded as she went back to the kitchen.Being the Niece of one of Shouta's friends has its perks.Thanks to her silly,but sweet Aunt,Maika has the knowledge of cooking.Back in the day when she was just a little girl,the usual meal they would have was instant noddles.

Chiyo And Nemuri wouldn't stop scolding the raven-haired for feeding the child preservatives half the time.Yeah,they didn't have a healthy diet for nearly a year.

"Meow..."

Maika looked down to see the pretty ginger cat rubbing it's being on the girl's legs,purring and meowing."F-Felix...are you hungry..?"
She hears another meow in response,"A-Alright.I Guess I could feed you now.".

She grabbed some canned cat food from the cupboards,pouring its content into the feline's food bowl.As the cat,Felix, went over to eat,Maika couldn't help but watch.

It's hard to believe this beautiful ginger cat was once a skinny,dirty stray.Little Maika was filled with kindness that day,that she begged Shouta to adopt the frail kitty.Of course,he agreed.They were both cat lovers and it's difficult to say no toward the 'face' Maika made.

When Shouta came to the kitchen,they began their usual routine.They set breakfast and began to eat,while talking about the plans of the day."So you remember what today is?"He asked,while sipping on his cup of coffee.

Maika nods,"T-the entrance exam...a-and I'm coming today!".The adult chuckled at the young teen's response.Today was the day Maika was finally going to visit UA for the first time.

Why the first time?Well,Shouta would consistently forget to bring his Daughter to UA whenever his co-workers would ask him to.Its either he really is forgetful,or is just pretending to so he could make fun of the idiots in his work.He also didn't want to since he was a lot scary at his work.Maika hardly saw her Father as a 'scary guy' ,as her Aunts and Uncles would describe him.

That was because Shouta was a lot more soft whenever he's around Maika.But that doesn't mean she never saw him angry and scary;it was rare for him to be so scary whenever his child was around.And whenever he was,there was two ways to calm him down.Either do it yourself or bring in Maika.It usually works.

By the time they finished,Maika volunteered to clean up the dishes.Unfortunately,she couldn't.

As she stood,she felt a sudden strike of pain in her head, causing the teen to held her head."Maika?"Her Father called,noticing her posture.The magenta-haired teen began to tremble,her chest felt tight,and her legs begin to feel numb.

"P-...pa..pa...",she shot a begging look to Shouta,mentally telling him something.The adult got the message as he rushed towards the teen's room.

Maika's legs gave out as she plopped herself onto the floor.She began to throw a coughing fit,which was the worst pairing when your chest felt tight.It feels like she was suffocating.Thankfully,Shouta came back with an orange pill bottle in hand and a glass of water.

So when she took two pills and the water,the pain faded.The teen tries to calm her breathing,while her Father rubbed her back in a comforting manner.Even Felix was worried,as he was trying to get onto the girl's lap.

"You Alright now?",He asked as he helped Maika get off the floor.The teens nods,only to hear a sigh from the man."You sure you still wanna come with me today?I'll be a bit busy with monitoring the participants.".

Maika could tell Shouta was worried.She wrapped her arms around her Father as she spoke,"Yup!B-Besides..a-aren't we all going to be in the s-same room?".Shouta ruffled Maika's hair as he softly smiled,something he only does to his kid."I Guess you got a point."

The two broke away from the hug,"How about you get ready then.I'll clean the mess.".Maika wanted to protest,but the man had already started to gather the plates."Hai...papa",she replied as she took the pill bottle and made her way to her room.

"Maika!Its time to go!"Shouta called from the front door.Maika found herself rushing out her room,almost missing a step when heading out.She was abruptly stopped by the familiar feline.

"I gotta go Fe.I'll see you later when we get back."She muttered to the cat,stroking its back as Felix purred in satisfaction,causing the teen to grin.

She finally met up with her Father outside,who was waiting for her."Alright,it's time to go.Do you have your medication?"He asked.Maika nodded and brought out the familiar orange pill bottle from her bag."Good."

They both proceeded to walk their way to UA.
Shouta was glad he was able to live in a decent place near the school.Ever since he started teaching at UA,Nezu had promised him that he'd grant a place nearby.It was to Ensure the safety of the two and to make sure he would be on time,knowing his schedule during his patrols.

"Alright Maika.Once we get there I need you to stay close to me.Since this is the first time you're going to UA,it's best if you stick with someone who knows the layout of the entire building.I doubt you'll be able to locate the staff room easily.",Shouta couldn't help but smirk when the teen pouts as she tightened her grip on the man's arm.

"Anyways,you do know who to go if I'm not available,right?",He reminds.

"Either Aunt Nemie Or Uncle Zashi..."She replied,slightly loosening her grip.Shouta nods in relief.At least he wouldn't have to worry about his kid running into trouble.Doubt she will,thought.

By the time they finally arrived at UA,Maika was stunned to see how huge the school was.Everywhere she looked,it would leave the girl in awe.Of course,she hasn't been to other schools before,but she was certain that UA is a very unique school.

She's even more surprised to know how high in security UA has.With that fact in mind,she can calm down a bit,knowing she was safe inside.Not to mention,the majority of the Teachers,including Shouta,were Pro Heroes.So it would be obvious the school would be a safe place.

What the Father and Daughter duo did not expect was to see two familiar figures waiting for them by the entrance.And when their eyes laid on the two,the smiled.

"Maika!I'm so happy you actually came!"The dark-haired female greeted,walking up to the teen and wrapping her arms in a big,tight hug.

"O-Ohayō Aunt Nemie!"Maika greeted back, smiling awkwardly.She was used to the frequent hugs and cuddles she got from Nemuri Kayama,Pro hero:Midnight.

"What's up,Shouta?"The blonde male spoke,draping his arm around the raven-hair's shoulders,who looked annoyed as ever.

"What do you want,you obnoxious idiot."He muttered,glaring at the blonde,who seems to be offended by the last phrase.

"Maika!Your dad's being mean!"He pouted,acting so childish that Maika just laughs at him."MaikaaaaAaaA..."

"S-sorry,Uncle Zashi..."She responded,still giggling at her Uncle Zashi's childish behaviours.Hizashi Yamada,Pro hero:Present Mic;always knew that his childish behaviour was one of the many things that allow Maika to crack a smile.Which is why he often does it when he was given the chance.

"Alright you three,Lets get going.I wanna be ready when the exams begin."Shouta spoke up,walking ahead of the three.
"You're no fun,Shou..."

Hizashi went on ahead to continue his pestering,while Nemuri sticked with Maika,knowing the teen still hasn't been to UA."C'mon,let's hope your Uncle Zashi doesn't annoy him too much."

"H-hai!"

"She's so cute!"

"What's your quirk?"

"How old is she again?"

"What do you think about UA?"

"It's your first time here at UA right?"

"You're adopted right?"

"Does Shouta ever tell you about us?"

Maika was beginning to get dizzy by the many questions that were thrown at her.
"That's enough.You guys really are idiots."Shouta spoke up,shielding the youngest from the others."Geez,she just entered the room,too."

"Sorry,But I'm still surprised you got a kid.",Thirteen spoke up,rubbing the back of their head,embarrassed.The rest nods in agreement.

"Alright then...",Shouta turns his attention to his kid,who was finally recovered from the shock."How about introduce yourself to them."

Maika glances over to the Teachers,her grip on Shouta's sleeves tightened."M-my name is M-Maika...I'm Th-thirteen years o-old....and m-my q-quirk is c-called...IceFire Flame...".She immediately hid her blushing face behind Shouta.

"She's a shy one,Alright."Snipe pointed out.

"Yeah,But she's a sweetheart once she warms up to you.Trust me."Nemuri added,ruffling the teens hair.This only made Maika a lot more flustered.

Shouta couldn't help but chuckle when he heard a whine from the girl,"Don't worry,kid.You'll get used to all these compliments that will be thrown at you."

"Papa!!"Maika whines,finally revealing the tomato face she was hiding the entire time.Everyone in the room couldn't help but feel surprised at the interaction between the two.Especially,seeing Shouta,the ever so scary employee, smiling.

"Well now..."A voice spoke up,gather the attention of everyone."It seems we still have one more teacher to arrive."

Maika doesn't know who this person is,but she was in awe when she saw it was a...mouse?Rat?Bear??

"Maika,this is Nezu.The principal of UA."Shouta introduced,moving a bit so she could see him clearly.

"O-Ohayō..."She greeted,still feeling anxious.

"Ohayō,Maika-san.Welcome to UA.I hope you have a pleasant day."Nezu greeted back,lending his hand to the teen.She hesitated a bit,before lending out her own.The two formed a handshake,which made Maika giggle a bit realising how soft his paws were.

"Well,now that your here with us today,are you excited to see the exam?"Nezu asked her,putting his hands behind his back.

Maika nods,allowing a few of her anxiety melt away.Her grip was beginning to loosen,which was a relief.

"Alright then!He should be here anytime soon.Why don't we all prepare ourselves for the written test first.I have a feeling the participants would arrive soon enough."Nezu suggested,looking around the room.
