Ayano whines as she opened her eyes, she held her hand above her to shield her eyes from the light. She could hear a commotion downstairs, she slowly stood up and walked out of her room. Ayano went down the stairs to see the sins around the Boar Hat setting up, she could hear the stove going and the smell of food was in the air.

"Ban's leftovers are so great!" she hears a familiar voice say with a mouth full "What is it?! What is thissss?!!! I don't even have time to stop and breathe! Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy?! If I had to describe the taste, it would be Supreme Leftovers Fallen From The Mouth Of God!"

As Ayano reached the bottom of the stairs she sees a miniature Hawk inside a large bowl filled with food scraps.

"H-Hawk!" Ayano shouts surprised "You're alive!"

"Ayano" Ban looks over from behind the counter

"Hey everyone Ayano's awake!" Hawk shouts

The other sins stop what they're doing and run to the stairs.

"Ayano!" they shout as they hug her

"H-Hey guys" Ayano says surprised

"We were so worried when you suddenly collapsed" Diane tells her

"yeah you scared us" King agrees

Ayano looked around at them surprised

"What's with the surprised look?" Meliodas chuckles "they're your family, of course they were worried about you"

"Really?" Ayano looks at them "even after what you saw?"

"Well we kinda already knew you were a demon" Ban tells her "your eyes used to glow red occasionally when you were angry"

"I thought you guys all hated demons" Ayano says nervously

"Well while demons might not be our favorite race" King shrugs "we know you, you've been our companion for years"

"You haven't done anything to make us hate you" Diane smiles "You might be moody some times and tease us a lot, but you have a kind heart"

Ayano's eyes water "thank you, everyone"

"Don't cry dummy" Ban pats her head "you should've known this by now"

"I'm not crying!" Ayano shouts and rubs her eyes

The sins all laugh and Meliodas hugs her.

"So, are you still mad at me?" Meliodas asks her

"I think.." Ayano smiles "you can come out of the dog house now"

"Yes!" Meliodas cheers before grabbing her boobs "ahh, they're still perfect"

"you little perv" Ayano sighs

"You love me" Meliodas smirks

"yes, yes I do" Ayano giggles

"Captain" Diane glares at him "you can remove your hands now"

"hmm" Meliodas squeezes Ayano's boobs and her face turns red

"Meli!" Ayano shouts

Meliodas chuckles and hugs her "I'm just teasing you dear"

"Idiot" Ayano says annoyed

The tavern door opens and Gilthunder walks in "So you really do run a bar!" He looks around with a smile on his face before seeing the sins "Ayano is awake, that's great!"

"Hey Little Gil" Ayano greets

"Welcome" Meliodas turns to him and places his arm around Ayano's waist

"Are you setting up right now? I can come back later" Gilthunder says

"Don't worry, come in! Welcome to the Boar Hat!" Meliodas tells him "You can join Ayano in eating lunch"

"Yeah, eating alone is no fun" Ayano agrees

"Then, don't mind if I do" Gilthunder smiles

Ayano and Gilthunder sit at a table, Ban walks over and places food in front of them before walking back over to the kitchen/bar area. Meliodas walks over with two cups, he places ale in front of Gil and a cup of coffee in front of Ayano before sitting next to her.

Ayano picks up her cup and smells it "ah.. you still remember my favorite"

"well of course I do" Meliodas smiles "you're my fiancé"

"So after all these years you two are still together" Gilthunder says happily "I remember back in the day when Meliodas would cling to Ayano" he chuckles "you wouldn't let her go anywhere without you"

"Of course not" Meliodas looks at Ayano "if I took my eye off her for a minute she'd be causing trouble somewhere"

"hehehe" Ayano laughs

"It was just harmless pranks" Gilthunder chuckles "she never did anything too bad"

"she's just my little troublemaker" Meliodas rubs Ayano's head making her blush

"Meliodas, Ayano" Gilthunder says and they glance at him "Once the National Foundation Festival is over, I'm leaving the Capital..."

"Why?" Meliodas asks looking a little confused.

"Even if it was to protect Margaret and deceive Hendrickson. I have hurt countless innocent people... I have no right to call myself a Holy Knight" He replies looking down "I will leave the Capital, and wander the lands on my own feet and help people who are suffering however I can.. atone for my sins."

"Gotcha, if it's something you've decided on, then I wont criticize you. You're your own man" Meliodas grins "but what would Margaret do, I wonder?"

"There's no need to worry for Margaret... There are countless Holy Knights who are capable of replacing me" Gil says

"Human men are hopeless" Ayano sighs

"Hm" Meliodas places his arm around her waist "that's agreeable"

Ayano leans towards him and whispers in his ear "demon men too"

"Aw come on" Meliodas whines and Ayano giggles

"Cap'n, Ayano... Sorry to interrupt your sappy conversation" Ban says as he removing his apron "But I need to talk to you both about something too, I'm taking some time off after the festival."

"Hey, hey, hey! Ban! That's not funny!! If you leave who's going to fill your shoes as the cook?!" Meliodas questions

"You can" Ban tells him

"If I make the food, the taverns sales will go down 100%!! I can't approve of this as the Master of the bar!" Meli says

"Cap'n... I'm being dead serious," Ban faces Meliodas "I'm leaving The Eight Deadly Sins"

"Nu" Ayano stands up "you can't leave"

"Aya" Ban pets her head "you'll be fine"

After the information Ban dumped on them, he went upstairs for a nap and Elizabeth came in with a new outfit for Meliodas. Meliodas took the outfit and went to get dressed.

"Lady Ayano I'm so happy you've awoken" Elizabeth smiles "Sir Meliodas completely freaked out after you lost consciousness, he was afraid you overdid it. Lady Ayano, Sir Meliodas really loves you, so please don't be mad at him anymore"

"Don't worry Elizabeth we're not fighting anymore" Ayano reassures her

"I'm glad" Elizabeth says happily

"but.." Ayano looks away "I think the fight was my fault.."

"what do you mean?" Elizabeth asks concerned

"Meliodas was worried about my demon side coming out if he wasn't around to restrain me with LaLuna, that's why he was so angry about me wanting to leave" Ayano explains sadly "I wouldn't listen to his reasoning, all I did was cut him off and focused on what I wanted. He got frustrated with me and I ended up fighting with him, I attacked first and he only defended himself. I took off LaLuna and just ran away"

"Lady Ayano" Elizabeth held Ayano's hands sympathetically "A relationship goes both ways, while Sir Meliodas wanted to protect you, you wanted to have some freedom and go off on your own. I understand both of your reasons, but you both went about it the wrong way. You can't feel guilty about what happened anymore, it's in the past, you and Sir Meliodas should only look forward to the future"

Ayano looks at her "but-"

"She's right Ayano" Meliodas walks back down the stairs in his new outfit "We're both to blame for that fight but now that we're together again we should just let bygones be bygones"

"Yes" Ayano smiles

Elizabeth smiles as well and puts her hands together "I'm so relieved"

"So Ayano, how do you like my new outfit" Meliodas smiles and stands in front of her

"My my"  Ayano walks around him "how handsome you look"

"Don't be shy honey" Meliodas takes her hand and places it on his chest "I need a size check"

"D-dummy" Ayano flicks his forehead

Elizabeth giggles before picking up another box "Oh Lady Ayano, I have a dress for you"

"A dress?" Ayano looks confused

"Yes, for the awards ceremony" Elizabeth tells her

"Awards ceremony?" Hawk questions

"Yes! My father is absolutely determined to have one for The Seven Deadly Sins" Elizabeth replies "Hawk, you're invited too of course!"

Ayano takes the box from Elizabeth "...a dress huh?"

"I'm sure you'll look great in anything Aya" Meliodas says excitedly "I can't wait"

"You think so?" Ayano asks

"Definitely" Meliodas walks up behind her and wraps his arms around her waist "I'm a master at everything that has to do with you"

"That's kind of creepy Meli" Ayano giggles

"Since Lady Ayano first joined us she's become a lot more lively" Elizabeth comments happily "In the beginning she seemed more distant but now she's really involved and smiling a lot, I'm glad I've gotten to see the real Lady Ayano"

"yeah" Ayano puts her hands on top of Meliodas's that were still around her waist, she smiles "me too"
