Rylands POV

The anger was boiling through my veins as I watched my small mate collapse to the ground. Lydia screamed and raised her hands sending Jeremiahs body flying away from her. He was dead. I'm going to kill him for betraying me. Betraying her.

Cade raised his other hand and Octavia's limp body dragged across the ground towards him. Lydia immediately raised her hand stopping Octavia's body from moving.

"Stupid girl. You cannot defeat me." He chuckled darkly. Suddenly everyone was sent flying back including me. I was out of his hold. I turned and immediately shifted mid-air, charging after Cade and my unconscious mate. I tore through the trees as my wolf ran faster than he's ever ran before. Growling viciously as we followed his appalling scent. I was going to take my time killing him. I would start small with each finger and toe. Make him suffer before his life is brutally ended. He deserved even worse than that.

His scent was dispersing the more I ran. He was gone. She was gone. I kept sprinting anywhere my wolf would take me, hoping that Cade messed up. Hoping that the love of my life got away. Hoping that there was some kind of sign, any sign of where they went.

Koltons POV

"How could you?" I spat at Jeremiahs horrified form on the ground. "She is our friend you son of a bitch! How could you!"

"I had no choice." He breathed pathetically. "He was going to kill everyone, he found me when I was on patrol one night and told me if he didn't get her he would kill everyone in this pack to prove a point. You saw what he was capable of Kolton, that day he took us." Tears were still streaming down his face as he gripped at the dirt below him.

I looked down at Lydia's shaking form from the cold and terror.

"Go inside." I told her brushing stray strands of hair out of her face. "Tell your mom to come out here, don't tell her what happened. Go to your dad and Jake and tell them quietly. Be brave for me." I kissed her head and she hurried into the house wiping at her eyes.

I was about to turn my attention to Jeremiah when Ryland emerged from the woods in his wolf form. He stalked towards us power and rage asserting from his furious wolf. He growled viciously at Jeremiah. He was going to kill him. Jeremiah refused to look up at him as he stared at the ground.

"I'm so sorry."

Ryland shifted back to his human form his eyes still deadly red. He raised his arm and began releasing punch after punch at Jeremiah, who just took it.

"Ry—" I tried. He was going to beat him to death.

"That's enough." I snapped.

"What's going on?" Rylands red eyes locked with Brielle's.

"Where is my daughter?" She said deadly calm.

"Cade took her." Her face filled with dread.

"Get everyone out of my house." Growled Ryland at me. "Get the warriors ready." He directed at Jeremiah. "If you fail to find her, I will kill you so slowly, that you will wish you never met me. Do you understand?" Jeremiah nodded.

"Get the hell out of my sight." He spat.

"Get everyone out. Party is over." I mind-linked one of the guards stationed at the event. I followed Ryland and Brielle back into the house when the smell of summer and flowers filled my nose. My mate.

She hurried out of her fathers hug and hurried over to me.

"I want to help." She said her beautiful blue eyes frantically searching mine.

"I expected nothing less." I reassured her.

Jeremiah's POV

I stood outside the training grounds ignoring the looks I received for the bruises that were no doubt covering my face. I deserved them, he went easy on me. I deserve to be dead for what I did.

I had my best warriors ready to find our Luna. I had also ordered the scroll keepers to search for any places they could've gone to. But I knew that it ultimately came down to Brielle. She would be the one to find her with the help of Lydia.

What had I done?

She was my friend and I betrayed her. I betrayed all of them. After I get her back I will renounce my title and leave the pack. I don't care if it's a cowards way out. I would rather leave then look any of them in the eye after what I did.

My squad and I headed through the woods searching for any trails or indicators for which direction they went in.

I will find her.
