After working on pack stuff in his office together we both had dinner and finally headed upstairs to bed. He walked into the bathroom and I heard the sink running I walked into the closet and looked at all of his clothes to choose from. I quickly pulled off his sweatshirt and sweatpants as long with my under garments. I stood in his closet completely naked. I grabbed one of his big sweatshirts and walked out before joining him in the bathroom.

His eyes darkened at the sight of my bare legs he stopped what he was doing and immediately placed me on the counter before standing in between my legs. I didn't think this part through though, heat flooded through my cheeks. The sweatshirt rose up to my hips. His eyes darkened and flickered red. He growled before smashing his lips to mine and picking me up. He carried me to the bed before leaning on top of me. I moaned as his hand reached between my thighs.

"Ryland." I moaned out writhing against his touch.

"What do you want?" He growled against my lips.

"You." I gasped. He pulled off his sweatpants and his member sprung free. I couldn't hide my shocked face causing him to chuckle.

"I'll be gentle." He spoke calmly before aligning himself between my thighs. I felt him slowly push in. I moaned out in pain and pleasure as he growled slowly inching in. His mouth dipped down attacking my lips with his as his tongue forced its way into my mouth. He started moving in and out at a faster pace. I couldn't contain my moans with the overwhelming feeling of pleasure coursing through my body. He suddenly grabbed the end of the sweatshirt and yanked it off of my body, freeing my breasts.

He lowered his head taking one into his mouth and nipping at it with his canines. My body arched against his as he continued his thrusts quickening the pace. I clawed at his back as my body felt like it was going to explode with the shocks from our bond. I could tell he felt the same way as his thrusts became faster. My body clenched around his as I felt him release inside. He looked into my eyes with nothing but love as he rested his forehead against mine. We laid there for a while before he slowly pulled out. He lifted me up and brought me into the bathroom before setting me down on the tile. He started running water in the bath tub before turning to me and running a hand through his messy hair.

"What's wrong?" I asked quietly stepping closer and closing the space between us.

"Did I hurt you?" He asked softly.

"No Ryland. It was perfect." I spoke standing on my tippy toes and pressing a kiss to his lips. "I love you." I reassured him. 

He leaned down pressing his lips to mine again before turning to face the bathtub. He stopped the water and motioned for me to get in. We started washing each other off when Rylands eyes went hazy.

"What is it?" I asked him worried.

"We're being attacked. Get dressed hurry." He said rushing out of the bathroom. I hurried behind him and quickly pulled on a pair of my leggings and a tight black top that I could sheath my daggers in.

I quickly grabbed my bow and flung my quiver over my shoulder. Ryland was dressed in black sweatpants and no shirt, since he was likely going to have to shift.

"We stay together." He said firmly to me. I nodded and interlocked my fingers with his before we hurried out of the house. Kolton and Jeremiah were quickly to our sides as we rushed to where the chaos was erupting.

"Who is—" Rylands voice cut off at the sight of thousands of half shifters at the border of our pack. There was a large male half shifter at the front of the mass of people.

"Tell your warriors to stand down." I told him.

His eyes went hazy before I stepped away and walked towards them.

"Excuse me." I heard a familiar voice before my mom stepped out from behind the first row of wolves.

"Mom?!" I yelled jogging towards her. "What is going on?" I asked her in shock.

"Cade isn't dead. I don't know how, but he somehow came back. So I brought reinforcements with the condition that you allow them refuge in your pack." She spoke in business mode, her eyes flicking between Ryland and I.

"What do you mean he isn't dead?" Ryland growled. I just stood there in shock, my knees suddenly feeling weak.

"No." I breathed.

This is cause of us isn't it? I asked the new presence I felt.

More than just us human.

My eyes widened in shock at the voice responding to my thoughts.

Who are you? I asked.

You will know in time, now pay attention or they are going to think we are an idiot. She snapped.

I blinked a few times seeing a concerned look on moms face with a raised brow.

I was gifted to a moron. She sighed.

Oh shut up.

"Octavia?" Ryland asked.

"Wait what?" Idiot. I was about to yell at her again when I felt more eyes on me, suddenly realizing that thousands of people were waiting on us.

"Of course they can stay here, right Ryland?" I asked guessing at the question they were awaiting an answer for. They both looked confused and worried at my answer. Well shit.

"Why don't you go inside?" Ryland whispered in my ear. "We will meet you there in a few minutes." I just looked at all the tired faces staring at us before I walked towards them. I saw a familiar face. It was the man that saved us wherever it was that Cade held us.

"Thank you." I said to him. "Your pack is free to enter ours."

He nodded gratefully. They began slowly dispersing onto the pack grounds however some chose to stay in the woods with their families.

"I think we need to have an emergency meeting with the other packs." I spoke quietly to both of them. They just nodded in agreement.

"Let's go home." Ryland said taking my hand as the three of us walked back to the house.
