Finally it was time for my first game of capture the flag. So apparently the game was split into two teams Ares vs Athena or red vs blue. Athena made alliances with Hermes, Apollo, Poseidon, Zeus, and Hades. Ares got everyone else. That meant I was on a team with Garroth, Laurence, Vylad, Nicole, and Zane but would be against my other friends. Annabeth was the head of the Athena cabin so she put me on lookout duty by this somewhat big rock. I wasn't very skilled so she probably just wanted to put me out of harms way. She kept on saying something like Athena always has a plan, but what would me just standing here have to do with any sort of plan.

The signal was given and I saw some of the other campers race off through the woods so I guessed that Garroth, Laurence, Zane, Vylad, Percy, and Annabeth went off in a different direction or were keeping lookout like me.

Being lookout was kind of lonely. No one seemed to even come by here so what was the point of keeping look here? Just then I saw some of the I'm assuming Ares campers except for Katelyn come out of the bushes and head toward me. I raised my sword to fight, but well three children of the war God vs one unclaimed child would lead to them winning.

Once they had disarmed me they hoisted me up in the air and climbed up onto the big rock. "S-stop!", I exclaimed. "Well I didn't get a chance to meet you and give you the "proper" welcoming ceremony, I'm Clarisse La Rue senior counselor of the Ares cabin and since I didn't get to give you the bathroom welcoming I guess this will have to do!", said Clarisse and she threw me off the rock.

I braced myself for the impact but it didn't come. I opened my eyes and saw for myself.

I wasn't on the ground

I wasn't on the rock.

I definitely still wasn't held by Clarisse

I was hovering above the ground.

"That's impossible! The only one who can fly here is Jason!", exclaimed a dumbfounded Clarisse. Because I was midair without a weapon I did what seemed like the best option, use my feet and kick them. I kicked one of the Ares campers and he fell flat off the rock. I kicked the other and the same thing happened. I flew back onto the rock where Clarisse was standing. She was ready to impale me with her spear and I didn't feel like I could fly again but I felt a familiar feeling like when I faced Ivy. Lightning came down from the sky and struck part of the rock that was near her. Other campers had stopped fighting and gathered around the scene including my friends. The impact of the lighting made Clarisse drop her spear and fall off the rock. I jumped off the rock and not knowing what else to do grabbed my sword which was at the base of the rock and pointed it at her. Just then like I had seen with my friends a glowing light came from the top of my head. Clarisse was mumbling something under her breath like not again. Everyone around me started bowing. Chiron came out from where he was to announce my parent. "All hail Aphmau daughter of,

Zeus King of Olympus!"

Above my head a symbol of a glowing lightning bolt shone. I knew who my dad was, but I just couldn't comprehend it. I passed out out of exhaustion because of the fight and not being able to comprehend who my dad was.
