The next day we had to go canoeing and they wanted us to go one by one. I really didn't like going in water except to wash myself and well I heard that a canoe can tip over pretty easily.

"Don't think your canoe will tip over, you'll be fine.", said Percy trying to help me. I got into my canoe hastily and paddled it the way Percy had shown me how to paddle it.

When I got in my canoe I did not like it one bit. You see my mom never took me on a boat ride anywhere because she said someone in her family drowned in a pool so she didn't want to see that happen to me. I could go on about how I was not allowed in a boat my entire life but I guess I should continue on telling my story.

Anyways I paddled it to about the middle and the current started to pick up rapidly. It pushed me away farther than we were supposed to go. The current was so strong it easily tipped my canoe over and I fell in. The water tried to pull me down into the depths and I struggled to stay afloat. "Percy help her!", shouted another Hermes camper, but before Percy could jump in Laurence rushed to the dock and jumped in with his clothes on. I felt the water try to drag me down and for some reason it hurt. The water was trying to hurt me. I started screaming for help when I saw Laurence coming. He swam through the currents and grabbed me and swam back towards the docks.

When we reached the docks he hoisted me up onto the dock and got up. "Aphmau, are you ok?", he asked frantically. I noticed something odd. He just came out of a river he should have been dripping wet, instead he was dry. "Laurence, you're... you're dry!", I exclaimed. "Wh-what! I-I just came out of a river I should be soaking wet!", he exclaimed. Just then a green light flashed above his head and everyone started bowing even Percy. Chiron came forward to announce Laurence's parent. "All hail Laurence son of,

Poseidon God of the seas, storm bringer, father of horses, and earth shaker!"

Above Laurence's head was a green trident. Chiron then redirected him to Percy!? I knew Percy was a big three but now he's Laurence's brother. "Well it looks like I have a new brother.", said Percy. Well I guess I'm alone now in the Hermes cabin, but at least there's something I can kind of look forward to tonight,
