Once school ended we piled into the van my mom rented to take us up there. While school was in she went around to each of my friends homes and collected their suitcases apart from Grover. He said that he lived nearby and would just go over there and get his suitcase. It was a long drive so to pass the time we sang to the radio, told ghost stories, and retold events from the year. It was pretty great. I heard my phone ringing so I was about to turn it on to answer it, but Grover said not to. I've used this phone for quite a long time I don't see why I can't use it.

After driving for about a few more hours we finally came to the cabin my mom rented. I wondered how we all were going to fit in there. It was pretty late when we got there so we all pulled out our sleeping bags and slept in our clothes. Oh I forgot to mention that we had also changed out of our uniforms before we piled into the van. I crawled into my sleeping bad and slept like a rock.

That night I hoped for a normal dream, but I always have really weird dreams that I never understand. I dreamt I was in a dark cave in front of a large chasm and there was a voice coming out of it. "Help me rise from these depths, and I'll repay you!", commanded the voice coming from the chasm. Then my dream shifted to me in a forest and there were vines wrapping themselves about me and another voice was talking to me. "Aphmau, help me rise!", commanded the new voice.

Boom! We all woke up to the sound of thunder outside our cabin. It was raining and it looked like a storm was coming. Grover looked worried and he sent a worrying glance to my mom. Just then we heard a raspy voice come from outside the cabin and Grover warned us not to go out. But I was a bit of a rebel and went out anyway and my friends apart from Grover followed. Eventually he and my mom came outside and we were face to face with,

A taloned,

Bat winged,

Shriveled,

Demon lady!

We all rushed back to the cabin but the wind blew the door shut and the demon lady tried to attack us. My mom ordered all of us into the van and took off in a new direction. "Mom where are we going?", I asked once we were driving. "Someplace you father wanted you to go.", she replied, "Someplace all of you missing parent wanted you to go!" All of us strangely had a missing parent and ADHD and dyslexia. Grover was sitting in the seat next to her giving her directions as where to go. Just then lighting struck the van and it toppled over. We all were fine, in ways of major injuries, but Grover's ever present hat had come off to reveal two small goat horns.

All of us except my mom gave him looks of shock. The demon lady was on our trail and my mom ordered all of us to go to this distant farm house by what looked to be strawberry fields, she said we'd all be safe there. "Mom come with us!", I exclaimed. "Hija, I can't go in there and besides its not looking for me, it wants you!", she shouted. "I'm not going without you!", I replied. Hesitantly she came with us, but soon the demon lady caught up with us and grabbed her. "Mom!", I shouted. She gave us one last look and shouted, "Go!", and disappeared in a flash of gold light. I felt rage go though me. Even though my mom embarrassed me at times I loved her and did not like seeing her die like that. I prepared myself to fight it. As I looked toward it I wished it was Ivy. "Hey ugly!", I shouted at it. The demon lady turned towards me and I grabbed a nearby large branch and not knowing what to do I threw it at her.

The branch hit her so hard she disintegrated into golden dust and blew away in the wind. Grover led us to the farm house and upon reaching the front door we all except for Grover passed out from exhaustion.
