Chapter 24- Confrontation For Love

"I think I just figured out why they call it the Serpent's Pass!" Sokka gulped as you all made it to the surface, where the giant ocean serpent appeared and roared

"Suki, you know about giant sea monsters, make it go away!" Sokka shouted.
"Just because I live near the unagi doesn't mean I'm an expert!" Suki argued as Sokka lifted up Momo.
"Oh great and powerful sea serpent, please accept this humble and tasty offering!" He said, which made you punch his shoulder.

"No ya doof!" You hissed as the serpent struck, but Aang sent a gust of wind to block it.
"I'll distract it. Katara, get everyone across!" Aang said and flew up to distract it. Katara froze the water in front of you all, and made a ice path, she then raced down the water to help Aang. You helped everyone to run through, but noticed Toph not moving.

"It's alright Tophy, the path is sturdy to cross!" You shouted, but she shook her head.
"Actually, I'm going to stay on my little island, where I can see!" Just then, the serpent clashed its tail against the little rock island.
"Okay, I'm coming!" She yelped as she carefully made her way down.

"She's not going to make in time," You muttered and ran back to her.
"(Y/N) wait!" Sokka and Suki yelled as you held onto Toph's hand to pick her up.
"Ride time," You said as you carried her bridal style and started to slide across the ice.

"WATCH OUT!!" Sokka shouted as the serpent's tail was about to destroy the ice path, but you reacted quickly.
"Sorry about this," You told Toph as you tossed her into Sokka's arms as the ice broke and you felt the cold water surround your body.

"Bad time to say that I can't swim!" You gasped for air and tried to paddle, but you couldn't. The water pulled you under and the lack the fresh air made your vision blurry, but then you felt arms grab you. You resurfaced and you immediately inhaled to breathe again. You turn to see that Suki saved you, making you hug her.

"Your makeup just never comes off, does it?" You laughed, but then you made eye contact with Suki, making you both look away awkwardly.
"I-it doesn't," She coughed, and pulled you onto safe land.
"Thank you though," You said as you made sure Toph was okay.

"No problem," She mumbled as her and Sokka made eye contact and silently argued with their hands. Katara and Aang flew back to the rest of the Gaang and eventually, you all walked across the path to see something ahead.
"There's the wall! Now it's nothing but smooth sailing to Ba Sing Se," Sokka smiled, and you were about to cheer, but then Ying clutched her stomach in pain.

"Oh no!" She gasped.
"What's wrong?" You asked, worriedly about her stomach.
"The baby's coming!" She whimpered as her husband and daughter check on her.
"What? Now? Can't you hold it in or something?!" Sokka asked in a panic.

"Sokka, calm down. I helped Gran-Gran deliver lots of babies back home," Katara reassured him.
"This isn't the same as delivering an arctic seal! This is a real... human... thing!" Sokka shouted, making you roll your eyes.
"It's called a baby and I helped her deliver plenty of those, too," Katar raised an eyebrow and helped Ying.

"Aang, get some rags. Sokka, water. Toph and (Y/N), I need you to make an earth tent, a big one. Suki, come with me," Everyone did exactly what they were told as Katar pulled Ying and her family inside the tent. You and Toph waited outside as Aang and Sokka brought back what they were asked, but you heard Sokka faint as Ying groaned in pain.

"You know, if it were me who adopted a kid, I would've named the kid Lin," Toph tilted her head and raised an eyebrow as Aang pulled Sokka's unconscious body out of the tent.
"Lin?" She questioned, making you shrugged and cross your arms.

"I always liked the name Lin, better name than mine," You replied, making her nod silently.
"Lin..." She mumbled, and then you heard a baby crying.
"It's a girl!" Katara shouted as Sokka came to.
"So, you want to go see the baby, or are you going to faint like an old lady again?" Toph asked him.

"No, no, I'm good this time,"
"She sounds healthy," Toph smiled as you peeled over to see Ying holding a small baby who silently hiccuped.
"She's beautiful," Katara said in awe.
"It's so... squishy looking," Somka mumbled.

"She's going to be a tough girl, I just know it," You had a smile as Momo tilted his head in confusion.
"What should we name her?" Than asked his wife.
"I want our daughter's name to be unique, I want it to mean something," Ying said.
'Don't let it be Abcd,' You thought, but then Aang wiped some tears away.

"I've been going through a really hard time lately. But you've made me, hopeful again," Aang told them, and Ying looked at her newborn.
"I know what I want to name our baby now. Hope,@ She declared as their elder daughter cooed at her new sister.
"That's a perfect name," Than smiled and kissed his wife, making you smile.

'Just like that dad did when mom felt sad,' You thought. Outside the tent, you all stood around to wait for any more instructions, and Aang walked up to you.
"I thought I was trying to be strong. But really I was just running away from my feelings. Seeing this family together, so full of happiness and love, it's reminded me how I feel about Appa... and how I feel about you," Aang smiled.

You just hugged him as Katara reared up, making you grab her and pulled her into the hug.
"I promise, I'll find Appa and Twig as fast as I can. I just really need to do this," Aang said as he grabbed his staff.
"See you in the big city," Sokka patted his shoulder.

"Say hi to those fuzzballs for me," Toph punched Aang in the shoulder as you gave him a hopeful look.
"You'll find them, Aang," Katara smiled.
"If you do find them, tell Twig that I'm coming," Aang nodded at you with his staff ready.
"Thank you. You ready, Momo?" Momo lifted his wings as the two of them flew off to Ba Sing Se.

You waved him goodbye and turn to see Suki and Sokka, making you take a deep breath and walk towards them.
"So, you're leaving?" You said as they jumped and turn to see you.
"Hey..." Sokka trailed off as Suki nodded with guilt.
"I came along because I wanted to make sure you all got through the Serpent's Pass safely. But now I need to get back to the other Kyoshi Warriors," Suki explained.

"That's fine, just promise me you'll be safe," You shoved your hands into your pockets.
"Listen, we're really sorry about last night," Sokka apologized. You didn't say anything as Suki nodded
"We were talking... and saying things about you... which wasn't anything mean!" Suki quickly said.

"It was just, that we felt... something, and it was something that never left me when I fell for you. And with Sokka in our lives, we fell in love, but yet... these feelings are in both of us," You just stared at them, nothing saying anything, making Sokka worried.

"Please (Y/N), say something, anything! Tell us that you either return these feelings or no, and-" Sokka got cut off by lips connecting with his. His eyes widen as you placed your hands on his cheeks, finally letting go and let him to breathe.

You didn't give them a chance to think again as you turned me pulled Suki into a similar deep kiss. She squeaked, but then ran her fingers through your hair. Finally, you took a step back and patted your hands to your sides.
"I love you both too... it's just, I was never one to talk about my feelings," You sheepishly said.

Suki and Sokka didn't say anything as they were in shock, blushing deeply.
"So... what does this mean? About all of us? Are we dating?" You asked them, snapping them out of their daze.
"I guess..." Suki looked at Sokka, who smiled and hugged you both.

"I guess so," You blushed and hugged back, until you heard Katara call for you back.
'Shoot, Katara,' You mentally cursed as you three were hidden, but you felt like you've been caught red handed.
"Well then, we best get going. Suki, send us letters and say hi to the other Kyoshi warriors for me," You finger gunned and ran off to Katara and Toph.

Sokka and Suki watched you leave, with a smile on their faces and them holding hands.

"I'm so lucky to get her back,"

"We, are so lucky to have her,"

"Yeah..."
