If Islam has all these in built values and systems to boost productivity, how come the Muslim Ummah is one of the most unproductive nations of the world today??
💯➡There are a few misconceptions of Islamic concepts that have been embedded In the Muslim subconscious which are affecting the ummah's development.

Dr Ahmad khayri Al-Omari writes about 5 misconceptions.
1. We should neglect the dunya:
There are no verses that tell you to neglect or despise the dunya? Let's check the Qur'an for confirmation:
💯" The life of this world is nothing but amusement and a distraction.the home in the Hereafter is best for those who are aware of God" (6:32)
💯 People! God's promise Is true,so do not let the present life deceive you (35:5)

➡Pay Attention! What are they saying? They are despising Hayatul dunya not the dunya itself. Is there a difference?
The Qur'an made a distinction between the two. Whenever the dunya is mentioned on its own in the Qur'an, it normally comes with a positive connotation.
💯"If some wants the rewards of this world,the rewards of this world and the next are both God's to give. He hears and sees and everything." (4:134)
" Others pray; Our Lord! Give UA good in this world and in the hereafter,and protect us from the the torment of the fire." (2:201)

💯There's nothing wrong with making most of it for the betterment of humanity and society.
💯This world is the farmland for the hereafter,'we are farmers here is where we plant our good deeds and improve ourselves and the society in hopes for rewards in this world and the here after.

➡Make Du'a And all will be well: Du'a follows hardwork. If you're in need of something e.g  to pass your exams,you don't make du'a only without studying and preparing for it.
➡Du'a is not supposed to be a spiritual crutch. It does not replace hard work ams productivity.it's a spiritual booster that helps bring fruition and results to the actions you take on life. This Is how du'a was understood by our prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) and all the prophets of Allah who made the du'a after they exhausted/utilised all possible actions in their control. E.g
➡Prophey Nuh (alaihi salam) made du'a after He tried calling his people for 950 years.
➡Prophet Ibrahim (alaihi salam) made du'a after taking his family to a barren land and after building the ka'abah.
➡Prophetu Musa (alaihi salam) made du'a after escaping pharoah.
➡Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) made du'a before the battle of Badr after taking all military decisions and precautions needed to secure victory over the army of quraish.
➡Miracles happen for those who work hard and make du'a.

3.When the going goes tough,have sabr: Sabr is not about sitting down and waiting for change to happen.
➡Its about fighting for survival,doing all that is in your power to grow,develop and live a peaceful and working life.
➡The true meaning of sabr comes from the word 'Sabbar (cactus) tree, that's able to survive the extreme conditions of the desert,as well as bear fruits. It does this by spreading its roots,sucking in moisture from the earth and air and storing it for a long time.
➡We desperately need sabr in our personal lived and as an ummah in general. Not the paddivr sabr,but the active save that takes all means necessary to improve our condition, be Kore productive and beat positive results.

4.RIGHTEOUSNESS-ACTS OF WORSHIP: been righteous is much more than just praying,fasting,giving out charity etc. Its about performing deeds for the sake of Allah which will benefit society and oneself.
➡To be a righteous slave,you have to be a productive slave,Not just on spiritual but physical and social.
Anas (Radi Allahu anhu) reported that the prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) said: If the hour comes and one of you was holding a plantshoot, let him take advantage of even one see before the hour is established to plant it.

5.ITS ALL WRITTEN: Belief in destiny is not supposed to be a laid back,lazy and defeatist attitude that shows "why try?" It's what destined that will happen anyway. Instead,it should be a spiritual booster empowering you to do all you can to become a better person each day,learn things that will benefit you and others til Dunya wal Akhira. You should say:If my choice is aligned with what Allaj wants me to do,then I'll succeed in life and hereafter.
Allah says: If you are thankful, I will give you more,if you are not, My punishment is indeed severe (14:7)
