Fallout 4 Pt. 4

"Ok, we're going back to the Fallout universe. So I'll send the kids to the kids room" said Luke snapping his fingers.

It began with Izuku and Dogmeat walking through the ruined streets of Boston on their way to the Vault that Detective Shoto Todoroki was being held prisoner in.

They arrived at the park, it was the one Ochako talked about bringing Toshi to right before the bombs fell. In front of the park was an old military APC with the word 'Swan' written on the side. Izuku looked inside the small APC to find a box with some explosives in it, he put the explosives in his inventory.

When he and Dogmeat entered the park, they saw a small lake with some old swan boats in it. There was also a weird green and white thing sticking out of the pond.

Izuku made the foolish choice of stepping into the pond to investigate it. When he got closer to the green and white thing it started to move. And then... it emerged from the water to reveal that it was a giant super mutant, wearing pieces of the swan boats as armor, and it was carrying a giant anchor as a hammer.

This is it:

"What the hell kind of Super Mutant is that?!" said Ochako.

"It's called a Super Mutant Behemoth. They're bigger and stronger than normal Super Mutants. This one's unique though. It's name is Swan" said Luke.

Izuku immediately got out of the pond and he and Dogmeat made a run for it. Swan threw a giant rock at them, but they quickly hid behind a tree. Izuku fired his 10mm pistol at the beast, but it had almost no effect. Izuku realized this was gonna be harder than he thought, and he really wished he had brought his power armor for this.

One tough battle later...

It wasn't easy, but after a lot of bullets, and a lot of explosives, Izuku and Dogmeat eventually managed to kill Swan. Once the beast was down Izuku looted some very good loot off of it. He even got a unique Power Fist weapon.

"Power Fist's are a special military weapon that allows the wearer to punch enemies really hard" explained Luke.

After that, Izuku and Dogmeat headed over to the entrance to the subway station on the other side of the park. When they entered they headed down a broken down escalator when they heard talking coming from the room up ahead.

"I'm telling ya. Joining Skinny Malone's crew was the best decision we've ever made. Look at this place!" said a raspy voice.

"I still say Malone's weak. He caught that detective snoopin' around, and what does he do? Locks him up. Like he ain't got the balls to just kill em' " said a normal sounding voice.

"Well don't let his new girl hear that. She'll start swinging that bat of hers in your face until there ain't no face left" said the raspy voice.

"This gang is called the Triggermen. They're based off 1930's gangsters" said Luke.

Izuku and Dogmeat entered the room to see that there were four Triggermen dressed like 1930's gangsters in the room. Two of them had burned faces and looked like Feral Ghouls, but a bit more human.

"What happened to those guys?" asked Ochako.

"Those guys are normal Ghouls, not Feral Ghouls. Iida explained them in this universe before. Ghouls are humans who were transformed by the radiation, turning them into basically walking corpses. When a Ghoul is exposed to enough radiation, they'll turn into a Feral Ghoul and kill anything that isn't a Ghoul. Ghouls are also immortal, some Ghouls have been around since the bombs first fell" said Luke.

"That's not how radiation works" said Recovery Girl.

"Maybe not in your universe. But in this universe, it does work this way" said Luke.

"He's here for the detective! Ice him!" shouted one of the Ghouls.

The Triggermen pulled out their guns, and opened fire on Izuku and Dogmeat, but they were quickly killed by the two.

Izuku and Dogmeat then headed down deeper into the subway station. When they headed downstairs there was some traps set up along the way, but Izuku quickly disarmed them.

When they reached the bottom of the stairs they saw the subway tracks, a few shut down train cars, and a ton of Triggermen. The Triggermen spotted Izuku and opened fire on him, but Izuku quickly killed them. He then grabbed a submachine gun off one of the Triggermen, and he and Dogmeat proceeded down the subway tunnels, until they reached the entrance to the Vault... Vault 114.

"Another Vault" said Momo.

Izuku went up to the Vault door control panel in front of the Vault. He pulled out the plug from his Pip-Boy, plugged it in to the control panel, and the glass casing flipped open, exposing the big red button. Izuku plugged the plug back into his Pip-Boy, and slammed his fist down on the button.

Suddenly, the alarms started going off, and the door opened. The metal bridge then extended forward to them, and Izuku and Dogmeat entered the Vault.

"Damnit! I hate it when they open the door! Why's that thing so loud?!" said one of the Triggermen as he entered the room, Izuku quickly hid behind some metal crates.

"Hello? That you, Skinny? Darla?" said the Triggerman as he stood in front of the exit.

The Triggermen then noticed Dogmeat standing there. "Who's this dog belong to?" asked the Triggerman.

Izuku then sprung from his hiding place with the submachine gun in his hands. "He's mine" said Izuku before filling the Triggerman with bullet holes.

Suddenly, another Triggerman entered the room with a baseball bat and swung it at Izuku, but Izuku quickly ducked under it.

Dogmeat then bit Triggerman's arm and started biting him, which distracted the Triggerman long enough for Izuku to fill him with lead.

After that Izuku and Dogmeat headed deeper into the Vault until they reached a hallway where two Triggermen were chatting in.

"So, I gotta question. Why the hell would anyone build a Vault out of a subway station? This place is like... the opposite of air-tight" said one Triggerman.

"Because they weren't planning to use it, ya moron. We used to pull this kinda con all the time back before the war. Get a bunch of union boys to work some construction job that would go nowhere. Keep everyone on payroll" said a ghoul Triggerman.

Izuku then threw a grenade between the two Triggermen, killing them both. After that Izuku and Dogmeat headed down the hallway until they reached a door. When they opened it they entered a massive room which seemed to be unfinished, there were tons of Triggermen in there who attacked them, but Izuku and Dogmeat quickly killed them.

Izuku and Dogmeat then entered another room and dropped down a shaft and headed deeper into the Vault.

They then headed down a hallway and entered the atrium of the Vault.

Izuku looked up and saw a Triggerman at the top level looking through a circular window.

"How ya doin' in there, Todoroki? Feeling hungry? Want a snack?" the Triggerman mocked.

"Keep talkin', meat-head. It'll give Skinny Malone more time to think about how he's gonna bump you off" Todoroki's voice could be heard from the other side of the window.

"At least we know he's alive" said Momo.

"Don't give me that crap, Todoroki. You know nothin'. You got nothin'" said the Triggerman.

"Really? I saw him writin' your name down in that black book of his. 'Lousy cheating card shark' I think were his exact words. Then he stuck the name across three times" said Todoroki.

"Three strikes? In the black book? But I never... Oh no. I- I- I gotta smooth this over! Fast!" said the Triggerman in a panic.

The Triggerman turned to leave, but as soon as he did, he saw Izuku and Dogmeat standing there, and Izuku gunned him down.

Izuku then looked in the window and saw a man whom he assumed was Todoroki standing there in the dimly lit Overseer's office, although Izuku couldn't exactly see his face. He was wearing a trench coat and a fedora like Ellie said he would be.

"Hey, you. I don't know who you are, but we got three minutes before they realize muscles-for-brains ain't coming back. Get this door open" said Todoroki.

Izuku looted the password off the Triggerman's body and used it to to access a terminal next to the door. He then unlocked the door and stepped inside the Overseer's office.

Todoroki stepped closer to Izuku, and Izuku noticed Todoroki's eyes were glowing yellow.

"Wait a minute..." said Kirishima.

Todoroki then lit a cigarette, and Izuku noticed his right hand was metal and mechanical.

"Ah, my knight in shining armor. But the question is, why does he come all this way, risk life and limb, for an old private eye?" asked Todoroki as the light of the cigarette showed his face, and Izuku saw that he looked like this:

"Are we really surprised with anything in the multiverse anymore?" Todoroki asked.

"Whoa. What... what are you?" asked Izuku.

"Told you. I'm a detective. Look, I know the skin and metal parts ain't comforting, but it's not important right now. The only thing that matters is why you went through all this trouble to cut me loose" said Todoroki.

"My son Toshinori is missing. He was kidnapped, but I don't know who took him, or where they went" said Izuku.

"A missing kid, huh? Well, you came to the right man. If not the right place. I've been cooped up in here for weeks. Turns out the runaway daughter I came here to find wasn't kidnapped. She's Skinny Malone's new flame, and she's got a mean streak. Anyway, you got troubles, and I'm glad to help. But now ain't the time. Let's blow this joint. Then we'll talk" said Todoroki.

They then left the room, but before they did, Izuku grabbed a Speech Vault-Tec Bobblehead and some holotapes off the Overseer's desk, plus he went digging through the terminal on the desk real quick.

Izuku, Dogmeat, and Todoroki fought their way through the Vault until the arrived at a door that would lead back to the front entrance. Izuku also grabbed some Vault 114 jumpsuits as souvenirs, as well as an Astoundingly Awesome Tales comic book.

"Another locked door. Shouldn't be too hard" said Todoroki as he began picking the lock.

While Izuku waited, he went poking around on a terminal that contained a list of the people supposed to live here.

"Ok, I got it, but I hear big, fat footsteps on the other side. Once we step through this door, get ready for anything" Todoroki said.

They stepped through the door and were greeted by a large man in a suit and fedora who was armed with a submachine gun, a girl in a dress and armed with a baseball bat, and some other Triggermen.

"Shoto? What are you doin'? You come into my house. Shoot up my guys. You have any idea how much this is gonna set me back?" asked the large man who the audience assumed was Skinny Malone.

"I wouldn't be here if it weren't for your two-timing dame, Skinny. You ought to tell her to write home more often" said Todoroki.

"Awww, poor little Todoroki. Ashamed you got beat up by a girl? I'll just run back home to daddy, shall I?" said the woman.

"Should've left it alone, Shoto. This ain't the old neighborhood. In this Vault, I'm king of the castle, you hear me? And I ain't lettin' some private dick shut us down now that I've finally got a good thing goin'!" said Skinnu Malone.

"I told you we should've just killed him, but then you had to get all sentimental! All that stupid crap about the 'old times'" said the woman.

"Darla, I'm handling this! Skinny Malone's always got things under control!" said Skinny.

"Oh yeah, then what's this guy doing here, huh? Todoroki must have brought him here to rub us all out" said the woman, now revealed to be named Darla.

Izuku realized this was the event Nighteye was talking about.

"Wait. Skinny. Remember the Quarry. Lilly June on the rocks.' Ring any bells?" asked Izuku.

"How the hell did you know about that?" asked Skinny Malone in surprise.

"Ok. You two can go. You got until the count of ten. Then I don't care what happened in the old days. You're dead" said Skinny.

"What are you doin', Skinny? Kill 'em!" said Darla.

"No, Darla. They get one chance to leave. Skinny Malone's puttin' his foot down" said Skinny.

"My mother was right. You mobsters are all just talk" said Darla before leaving.

"We better get outta here. Fast" said Todoroki.

Skinny Malone began counting, and Izuku, Todoroki, and Dogmeat made a break for it. They ran out of the Vault and went to a maintenance ladder that lead to the surface.

Once they were outside, Todoroki looked at the sky above him.

"Ah, look at that Commonwealth sky. Never thought something so naturally ominous could end up looking so inviting" said Todoroki before turning his attention to Izuku.

"Thanks for getting me out. How did you know where to find me, anyway? Not many people knew where I went" asked Todoroki.

"Your secretary, Ellie. She sent me" said Izuku.

"She did? I should give her a raise. Now, you mentioned something about your son, Toshinori, and how he went missing. I want you to come to my office in Diamond City. Give me all the details. Besides, I think you've earned a chance to sit down and clear your head" said Todoroki.

"I'll meet you there" said Izuku.

"See you in Diamond City" said Todoroki before leaving.

After that, Izuku tried to make his way back to Diamond City, but he got lost and ended up at Bunker Hill, which was a trading outpost of some sort.

"You there! Caravan or Raider?" asked the woman guarding the entrance.

"What?" asked Izuku.

"I said: 'Caravan or Raider?' Which are you?" asked the woman.

"I really don't understand what your asking" said Izuku.

"Seriously? This is Bunker Hill. All the caravans in the Commonwealth come through here? And ever Raider outfit in the area gets protection money to keep their paws off the market and our homes. So there's only two types of people coming through here, Caravans and Raiders. Which are you?" asked the woman.

"I'm here on my own" Izuku answered.

"Freelance, huh? Alright, come on in, but no gunfire. Market's open. You can do as much trading as you like" said the woman.

Izuku entered the outpost and noticed a familiar looking man nearby. He was wearing a cap and some trader clothes, but he also had sunglasses.

"Wasn't he the guy Midoriya met at Diamond City?" asked Kirishima.

"Yeah. He was a security guard, right?" said Sero.

"Hey" said the man.

"Hey" said Izuku.

"What's up?" asked the man.

"Just traveling" said Izuku.

"What a day, huh?" said the man.

"I suppose" said Izuku.

"Sure love trading here. For... trade stuff" said the man.

"I'm sure you do" said Izuku.

"Don't you have, like, important things to do?" asked the man.

"I do" said Izuku.

"Nothing more to say" said the man.

After that, Izuku got lost again and ended up back at the Cambridge Police Station, where Kirishima and his team were. Izuku decided he might as well help them while he was there. He entered the building and walked up to Awase first.

"Think you're some kind of hot-shot?" said Awase.

"What's with my attitude?" asked Awase.

"You're kind of a dick in this" said Luke.

"Why are you so angry with me?" asked Izuku.

"I'm not angry, I'm just letting you know where you stand. You're hired help, and that's all there is to it" said Awase.

"Hired help or not, I got the job done" said Izuku.

"Got some backbone? Good. You'll need it if you keep hanging with us. Now why don't you run off and see if Top needs you to do anything else" said Awase.

Izuku then decided to talk to Yui.

"Sorry about the other guys" Yui said.

"Why are you cutting me so much slack?" asked Izuku.

"I, uh... I joined the Brotherhood not too long ago. I used to be like you... wandering alone. So, I know what it feels like when every single person you bump into sticks a gun in your face. Look, it may not seem like it, but Kirishima is a good man. He's just all soldier, protocol is his bread and butter. And Awase, well, let's just say he's as hard-headed as a Miser Gutsy. But you know what? I'd trust both of them with my life, because they're good people and that's hard to come by nowadays" said Yui.

Izuku then decided to finally talk to Kirishima.

"You ready to move out?" asked Kirishima.

"Why establish an outpost at the police station?" asked Izuku.

"Given the nature of the facility, we felt it would be tactically advantageous to search it for weapons and ammunition. The radio tower on the roof was an unexpected boon, but it obviously had its shortcomings that need to be rectified. It might not be as imposing as the Citadel back in the Capital Wasteland, but it suits our purposes. That's all I'm willing to divulge at this point. Are you ready to proceed with the mission?" asked Kirishima.

"Ready" said Izuku.

"Outstanding. Follow me and try not to lag behind" said Kirishima before putting on his helmet.

"I'm gonna skip to after the mission. Since it doesn't have much to do with the main plot" said Luke.

It cut to Izuku, Dogmeat, and Kirishima exiting a lab facility of some sort.

"Well, that could have gone smoother, but mission accomplished" said Izuku.

"Smoother? I thought we did fine" said Izuku.

"That sweep was sloppy. We were caught unprepared more than once, which is unacceptable. However, your extra gun gave us the edge we needed. I'm not certain we could have accomplished the mission alone" said Kirishima.

"They fought some Gen 2 Institute Synths that were there and Izuku nearly killed Kirishima with a prototype rocket thruster" said Luke.

"I thought we worked well as a team" said Izuku.

"Agreed. It's a refreshing change to work with a civilian who can follow orders properly. That being said, I believe we have two important matters to discuss. First and foremost, if you'll hand me the Deep Range Transmitter, I'd like to compensate you for your assistance during this operation. I think you'll find this weapon useful. It's my own personal modification of the standard Brotherhood laser rifle. May it serve you well in battle" said Kirishima as Izuku handed him the transmitter, and he handed Izuku a special laser rifle.

"Don't you need to keep it?" asked Izuku.

"This isn't the only weapon at my disposal. Brotherhood soldiers always carry a backup. Now as far as the second matter goes, I wanted to make you a proposal. We had a lot thrown at us back there. Our op could have ended in disaster, but you kept your cool and handled it like a soldier. There's no doubt in my mind you've got what it takes. The way I see it, you've got a choice. You could spend the rest of your life wandering from place to place, trading an extra hand for meager reward. Or, you could join the Brotherhood of Steel and make your mark on the world. So... what do you say?" asked Kirishima.

"What would be expected of me if I joined?" asked Izuku.

"You'd be under my command, and I'd expect you to follow orders. No more mercenary work, this is the real thing. You'd have access to advanced military weapons, as well as your own personal suit of Power Armor. Most importantly, you'd have the Brotherhood at your back, ready to spill its own blood to keep you alive. Offer still stands. Can we count on you?" Kirishima asked.

Izuku wasn't sure about this. He was already General of the Minutemen, and the Brotherhood seemed a bit too ruthless. He needed time to think.

"I don't know" Izuku said.

"It's a big decision, so I understand your hesitation. If you decide you want to become one of us, you know where we are. Good luck" said Kirishima before leaving.

After that, Izuku finally made it back to Diamond City. He entered Todoroki's detective agency, where Todoroki seems to have arrived not long before.

"Ellie? Are you here?" Todoroki called out.

"Shoto?!" Ellie's voice said from the other room.

Ellie ran in the room.

"Oh god, it's really you!" said Ellie in relief.

"Well, it's hard to mistake this mug for anyone else" Todoroki joked.

"Hmph. You keep laughing at death, some day, death's gonna laugh back" said Ellie.

"Not as long as I got a few friends to back me up" said Todoroki as he looked at Izuku.

"You saved Shoto, this agency, and my job. Thank you" Ellie said to Izuku.

"Hey. Happy to do it" said Izuku.

"Yeah? Go diving into scary prewar ruins all the time then, do ya? Here. I know an amount wasn't on the table when you went out to find him, but you deserve a reward. Plus a little something extra" said Ellie as she handed Izuku 100 caps and a hat and outfit that matched Todoroki's.

"You know, if you're looking for work, don't mind putting on the detective hat, Shoto sure could use a new partner" said Ellie.

"Whoa. One case at a time, Ellie. Our new friend needs our help, first" said Todoroki as he sat at his desk.

"Alright. Let's get down to business. Take a seat. Make yourself comfortable" Todoroki said to Izuku.

Izuku sat in the chair in front of Todoroki's desk.

Ominous music began playing.

"When you're trying to find someone who's gone missing, the devil is in the details. Tell me everything you can, no matter how... painful it might be" said Todoroki.

"We're looking for my son, Toshinori. He's less than a year old. Why would anyone take him?" asked Izuku.

"Good question. Why your family in particular, and why an infant? Someone would be taking all of his care, and a baby needs a lot of it. What else can you tell me?" asked Todoroki.

"We were in a Vault when it happened. Vault 111. It was some kind of... cryo facility" said Izuku.

"You were on ice, huh? More importantly, you were underground. Sealed up. That's a lot of obstacles to get through just to take one person. Anything else you remember?" asked Todoroki.

"My wife was... murdered. She was trying to keep them from taking Toshi and they... they just..." Izuku couldn't say the words.

"It's ok. You don't need to say anything more" said Ellie.

"So we're talking about a group of cold-hearted killers, but they waited until something went wrong to resort to violence. That confirms it. This isn't a random kidnapping. Whoever took your kid had an agenda. Hmm. There's a lot of groups in the Commonwealth that take people. Raiders, Super Mutants, the Gunners, and of course, there's the Institute" said Todoroki.

"So you think this Institute is responsible?" asked Izuku.

"Well, they're the boogeymen of the Commonwealth. Something goes wrong, everyone blames them. Easy to see why. Those early model Synths of theirs strip whole towns for parts, killing everything in their way. Then you got the newer models, good as human, that infiltrate cities and pull strings from the shadows. Worst of all, no one knows why they do it, what their plan is, or where they are. Not even me, and I'm a Synth myself. A discarded prototype, anyway" said Todoroki.

"You're a prototype?" asked Izuku.

"As far as I know. Never seen any other Synth like myself. There's the older one that are dumb as rocks and all metal, then there's the newer ones that are almost human. I'm somewhere in between" said Todoroki.

"The original Todoroki was a human back in the prewar era. The Institute put his memories in the Synth Todoroki you see on screen" Luke explained.

"That's the second universe now where I'm both a human and a robot" said Todoroki.

"Either way, I need to find Toshi" said Izuku.

"You're right. This speculation is getting us off track. Let's focus on what you saw. What did these kidnappers look like?" Todoroki asked.

"The woman was dressed in... I think it was a kind of hazard suit. The man had... some sort of metal brace on his arm" said Izuku.

"Maybe some kind of improvised armor? Lot of hired guns do that to look tough. That hazard suit is interesting. Not many mercs can afford something that fancy. What else do you remember about them?" asked Todoroki.

"That man who... killed my wife. He had a handgun. I didn't get a clear look at it, but... that sound" said Izuku.

"Could have been a large-caliber revolver. Hmm. I'm starting to get a clearer picture of the kind of man our perp is. Anything more you can tell me?" asked Todoroki.

"I'll never forget that voice. Low and rough. Like sandpaper across your face" said Izuku.

"My voice isn't that bad, Deku" said Bakugo.

"Hmm. Not much to go on, but a tough and commanding voice can get someone pretty far in the violence business. What else?" Todoroki asked.

"One of them came right up to me. Spiky blonde hair, scar across his left eye" said Izuku.

"Wait. It couldn't be... You didn't hear the name 'Bakugo' at all, did you?" asked Todoroki as his eyes widened.

"Who is he? Do you think he has Toshi?" asked Izuku.

"Hmm. It's way too big of a coincidence. Ellie, what notes do we have about the Bakugo case?" Todoroki asked his assistant.

"The description matches. Spiked blonde hair. Scar. Reputation for dangerous mercenary work, but... no one knows who his employer is" said Ellie.

"And he bought a house here in town, right? And he had a kid with him, didn't he?" asked Todoroki.

"Yeah, that's right. The house in the abandoned West Stands. The boy with him was around ten years old" said Ellie.

Izuku was shocked that the man he had been looking for lived right here in Diamond City, but he was more focused on the fact that a kid was with him. He couldn't help but gets his hopes up that it was Toshinori.

"It's Toshi! It has to be... somehow" said Izuku.

"Don't jump the gun on me. You said you were looking for an infant, remember? That's over nine years difference by my count. Look, maybe he has a son of his own. Maybe it's someone else's kid. Either way, they both vanished a while back. Let's you and I take a walk over to Bakugo's last known address. See if we can snoop out where he went" said Todoroki as he got out of his seat.

"Security doesn't really go to that part of town, but you two should still be careful" said Ellie.

"I always am" said Todoroki.

Izuku, Todoroki, and Dogmeat then went outside into the rain and started making their way towards Bakugo's house.

"I didn't want Ellie to hear this, but I think you should know. Everything I dug up about Bakugo before his disappearance... is bad news. He's more than just a mercenary. He's a professional. Quick, clean, thorough. Has no enemies, because they're all dead... Except you. But nine to one odds says he's our man. It's more than just you identifying his distinguishing features. The MO is all him as well. Leading a small team to kidnap a baby, and leaving one of the parents alive for later? Not many mercs in the Commonwealth can pull that off" said Todoroki as they walked.

They then arrived at Bakugo's abandoned house.

"Here we are. Keep an eye out, will ya? Let's see if I can get this open" said Todoroki.

Izuku kept watch while Todoroki attempted to pick the lock of the door.

"That's one heck of a lock. Got something to hide, Bakugo?" asked Todoroki.

"Why don't you give it a try?" asked Todoroki.

Izuku checked the lock, but it was above his lock picking skill.

"No way I can pick this" he said.

"No luck? Guess we'll need to find a key. See that platform in the distance? Near the city entrance? That's the elevator to the Mayor's office. Why don't you go ask around there?" said Todoroki as he pointed to a lift across town.

"I'll stay here, and see if I can jimmy this lock" said Todoroki.

Izuku and Dogmeat took the lift up to the Mayor's office, which was in the old score booth. When the lift made it to the top, Izuku saw Tsu there, arguing with the Mayor's secretary.

"Why doesn't the mayor come out of his office, huh? He's afraid of talking to the press? I bet if I said I was with the Institute, he'd come runnin'" said Tsu.

"You ever think maybe you could get a man's attention earlier if you used softer words, honey? Maybe shout a little less" said the secretary.

"Ah, that reminds me of this article I'm writing about the mayor's affair with a certain air headed blonde!" said Tsu.

Tsu then noticed Izuku standing there.

"Oh, look who it is. What brings you to the Mayor's office, huh?" Tsu asked.

"Need to see the mayor about something" Izuku answered.

"Really? You came to the mayor's office to see the mayor? Who'd have thought? Fine. Keep your secrets. Sooner or later, I'll find out. I always do" said Tsu with a mischievous smile.

"If you are done crowding the reception area, Miss Tsuyu, the Mayor needs to make time for more... responsible citizens" said the secretary.

"Hmph. I was just leaving anyway" said Tsu before leaving.

"The Mayor is receiving visitors, as long as they aren't members of the press. Did you need help?" asked the secretary.

"So I can just head in and talk to Sero?" asked Izuku.

"Go right ahead. His office is open. He likes to make time for everyone when he can" said the secretary.

Izuku entered the Mayor's office, where he saw him looking out a window and down on Diamond City.

"Ah, yes. I remember you. Our new arrival. I wish I was in your shoes. Getting to see our glorious city for the first time. How can I help you?" asked the Mayor.

"Shoto Todoroki wanted me to see you" said Izuku.

"Did he now? Some investigation I assume? You two aren't trying to get me into hot water now, are you?" the Mayor laughed.

"A man named Bakugo used to live in this city. I need to search his house" said Izuku.

"I see. Well, whatever reasons you have, I take my citizens' privacy very seriously. Even after they've left. I can't allow you to invade someone else's home. That's all there is to it" said the Mayor.

"Please, Mayor Sero. This man Bakugo kidnapped my son. I need to find him" Izuku pleaded.

"Oh, of course. I- I will do everything in my power to help you overcome this horrible personal tragedy. I remember Mister Bakugo. Didn't like him myself. Paranoid. Never talked to anyone. I doubt you'll find him. But I insist you take the key to his old house. It's been abandoned, though. I'm afraid this whole thing might be fruitless" said Mayor Sero before handing the key to Bakugo's house to Izuku.

Once he had the key, Izuku and Dogmeat made their way back to Todoroki, who was still waiting outside Bakugo's house.

"Got the key? Alright. Let's head in. You do the honors" said Todoroki.

Izuku used the key to unlock the door, and the three of them entered Bakugo's home.

"Let's take a look around. Bakugo must have left something behind" said Todoroki.

They looked around, but couldn't find much.

"Place seem small to you? Figured a guy like Bakugo would think big" said Todoroki.

Izuku went upstairs and saw a bed... with a sleeping bag next to it. It must've been where the child slept.

Izuku got on his knees and put his hand on the sleeping bag. He knew his son had to have been in it. He then went back downstairs.

"Nothing here. Did you check out that desk?" asked Todoroki.

Izuku looked at Bakugo's desk and noticed a button underneath it. He pressed it, and a wall opened up, revealing a hidden, dimly-lit room.

"Well... That's one way to hide a room" said Todoroki.

They entered the room and saw a chair in the center, with a bunch of food, ammo and other supplies on shelves and tables.

"Look at this. All of a merc's favorite things" said Todoroki.

Izuku noticed a small table next to the chair. It had mainly a bottle of beer, a bullet, and some fancy cigars on it. Izuku picked them up.

"Gwinnett Stout Beer, Fourty-four caliber bullets, and... cigars. 'San Francisco Sunlights'" Izuku said as he looked at the things.

"Hm. Interesting brand. Won't lead us anywhere on its own though" said Todoroki.

"Any suggestions, Shoto?" asked Izuku.

"Hmm... What about Dogmeat? A Commonwealth mutt like him can track a man's scent for miles" said Todoroki.

Dogmeat barked.

"Well, Dogmeat seems eager for the job. Why don't you let him have a whiff? See if he picks up on the trail. Before you head out... I know this is personal business. If you have to face Bakugo on your own, just say so" said Todoroki.

"Any words of wisdom?" Izuku asked.

"If Bakugo really is the one who kidnapped your son, then he's dangerous, but so are you. You don't need to be afraid of him, or anything else the Commonwealth throws at you" said Todoroki.

Izuku realized Bakugo could be dangerous, and he needed as much help as he could get.

"I want you with me on this, Shoto" said Izuku.

"Alright. Let's get that bastard. This is your show from here on out, ok? You say jump, I'll say how high" said Todoroki.

They then went outside.

"Dogmeat. Get the scent, boy" said Izuku as he showed Dogmeat the cigar.

Dogmeat sniffed the cigar.

"Take me to him, boy. Take me to Toshi" said Izuku.

Dogmeat barked, and the headed off.

"Ok. Now we're gonna fast forward to when they reach Bakugo's location" said Luke.

Izuku and Todoroki followed Dogmeat halfway across the Commonwealth. Eventually they arrived at an old military base, know as Fort Hagen.

Dogmeat barked at the front entrance, which was barricaded.

"Is this the place? Is he in here, boy?" Izuku asked.

"I knew Dogmeat would sniff our man out. Let's you and I take it from here. Give our four-legged friend a break" said Todoroki.

Izuku send Dogmeat back to the Red Rocket Truck Stop, and he and Todoroki went up to the roof of the Fort. There were some turrets up there that shot at them, but Izuku and his partner were able to take them out pretty easily. They then entered through a hatch on the roof.

When they got inside, they were quickly greeted by a large amount of Gen 2 Synths. They looked like the Todoroki of this universe, but had not clothes, plus their plastic skin was either less torn up, or not torn up at all. They also had white, red and black laser weapons that shot blue lasers.

"That's what Gen 2 Synths look like" said Luke.

They fought their way down to the lower levels of the facility, where they heard a familiar voice on the speaker.

"Well, if it isn't my old friend, the frozen TV dinner. Last time we met, you were cozying up to the peas and apple cobbler" said Bakugo's voice over the speaker.

"Weird line for me to say" said Bakugo.

They went deeper into the facility.

"Sorry your house has been a wreck for two hundred years. But I don't need a roommate. Leave" said Bakugo over the speaker.

"He's not leaving! He's gonna kick your ass, Bakugo!" said Ochako.

They entered the command center of the base.

"Hmph. Never expected you to come knocking on my door. Gave you 50/50 odds of making it to Diamond City. After that? Figured the Commonwealth would chew you up like jerky" said Bakugo.

Izuku didn't care what Bakugo said. He was gonna murder him.

"Look. You're pissed off. I get it. I do. But whatever you hope to accomplish in here? Heh. It's not going to go your way" Bakugo said.

As Izuku and Todoroki searched for Bakugo, Izuku found an Energy Weapons Bobblehead.

"You got guts and determination, and that's admirable. But you are in over your head in ways you can't possibly comprehend" said Bakugo.

Izuku just ignored him and kept going.

"It's not too late. Stop. Turn around and leave. You have that option. Not a lot of people can say that" said Bakugo.

Izuku and Todoroki kept going until they reached what appeared to be where Bakugo slept. The door leading to the next room was locked.

Bakugo sighed over the speaker.

"Ok, you made it. I'm just up ahead. My Synths are standing down. Let's talk" said Bakugo.

The door opened, and Izuku and Todoroki entered a large dark room with computers everywhere.

The lights switched on, and many Synths stepped out of hiding, and so did Bakugo. He hadn't aged a day. He was wearing the exact same outfit he was when he killed Ochako, and he was holding the same gun he killed her with.

"And there he is. The most resilient man in the Commonwealth. Funny, I thought I had that honor" said Bakugo as Izuku approached him.

"Where is my son?! Where is Toshinori?" Izuku demanded.

"Hmph. Pal, I'm just a puppet like you. My stage is a little bigger, that's all. Toshi's a good kid. A bit older than you expected, am I right? But he's doing great. Only... he's not here. He's with the people pulling the strings" said Bakugo.

"Goddamnit, you mercenary motherfucker. Where. Is. My. Son?!" demanded Izuku.

"What's the cliche? 'So close, but yet so far away?' That's Toshi. But don't worry. You'll die knowing he's safe, and happy. A bit older than you expected, but ah well. At least he's in a loving home... The Institute" said Bakugo.

"The Institute has him?! Damnit!" said Izuku.

"So where is it? Huh? This 'Institute'? How do I get there?" Izuku demanded.

"Heh. Haven't you been paying attention? You don't find the Institute. The Institute finds you. You open the closet, it's just a closet. You can never find the monster that hides inside. Not until it jumps out at you. But I think we've been talking long enough. We both know how this has to end. So... you ready?" Bakugo asked.

"Fuck him up, Midoriya" said Todoroki.

"I'm going to make you suffer" said Izuku, and the battle began.

Izuku and Todoroki quickly took out Bakugo's Synths, but Bakugo himself had turned invisible using a small metals box of some sort.

"That's called a Stealth-Boy. They allows whoever uses it to turn invisible for a limited amount of time" explained Luke.

"Toshi's gone! You'll never see him again!" said Bakugo while they fought.

During the fight, Todoroki was shot and injured, leaving just Izuku to fight Bakugo.

Izuku shot Bakugo repeatedly, but he just healed himself using Stimpacks. Eventually, Izuku shot Bakugo in the head with his 10mm pistol. It didn't kill Bakugo, but it did make his forehead bleed.

Eventually, Izuku had Bakugo weakened and cornered in the room.

"Feel sorry for you! You came all this way for nothing!" said Bakugo.

"Not for nothing" said Izuku.

Izuku then grabbed Bakugo, threw him to the ground, and snapped his neck with his bare hands.

"So brutal..." said All Might.

"Good job. That bastard won't be hurting anyone else. We should take a look around. Get all the intel this place can hide" said Todoroki as he got up.

Izuku stood there in silence for a few moments. He finally got his revenge, but it didn't make him fell any better. He looked at his hands, they had Bakugo's blood on them. There was blood on the ring he was wearing... Ochako's ring.

He wiped the blood off and noticed something metal sticking out of a cut on Bakugo's head that Izuku gave him when he shot him. He pulled out three small pieces of tech from the wound.

"Jesus, Deku. Gross" said Ochako.

"All this tech. You were barely human" said Izuku.

Izuku decided to take all of Bakugo loot. His cybernetics, his ammo, meds, Stealth-Boys, his terminal password, his gun, even his outfit. Leaving Bakugo's corpse in just its underwear.

Izuku then went over to Bakugo's terminal. It looked very high tech and futuristic. There were also some advanced tools of some sort around the terminal that Izuku had never seen before. He assumed the terminal and tools were from the Institute. He put the tools in his inventory for analysis.

He then accessed Bakugo's terminal and read the access logs. There was only one. It said:

Access: Local. Login: Bakugo.
Notes: The boy, Toshinori, successfully delivered back to the Institute, payment received. New orders to track down renegade, gathered reinforcements, cleared out and secured Fort Hagen. We move out soon.

Izuku then unlocked the doors and walked over to Todoroki.

"So, Bakugo wasn't giving us any bull. Your son really is on the other side. Even I don't know where the Institute is, and they built me" said Todoroki.

"You don't know anything, Shoto?" Izuku asked.

"Look at me. I'm trash. They threw me in the junk pile ages ago. Just another discarded prototype. Didn't exactly leave me the house keys" said Todoroki.

He then sighed. "We're in the weeds, here. Time to take a step back. Bring in some fresh eyes. Only person I know willing to snoop up the Institute's tail feathers is Tsuyu, the reporter in Diamond City. I say we head her way. Talk this through" said Todoroki.

"How could Tsu help us?" asked Izuku.

"Trust me, that dame knows a lot more than she lets on. And she lets on a lot. If I know her, she's done her homework. And we need to talk this through with someone" said Todoroki.

"Diamond City it is" said Izuku.

"Hey, chin up. I know the night just got darker, but it won't last forever" said Todoroki.

They went to the elevator and went back up the roof of the building. It was night time now. Izuku opened a door and they stepped outside, but then they heard a large noise.

They looked up and saw a giant flying aircraft entering the Commonwealth, vertibirds flying along side it as the Fallout 4 theme played.

"Ho... ly..." said Mei, Power Loader, David and Melissa.

Izuku and Todoroki stood there in shock.

A speaker on the airship then turned on.

"People of the Commonwealth, do not interfere. Our intentions are peaceful. We are... the Brotherhood of Steel" said a deep voice on the speaker before switching off.

"So, now the entire Brotherhood's in the Commonwealth?" Izuku asked.

"Not the entire Brotherhood. There's still the west chapter and the Brotherhood in the Washington D.C., which is now known as the Capital Wasteland" said Luke.

"Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there, wondering, fearing" said Todoroki.

As Izuku and Todoroki looked at the airship fly across the Commonwealth, the screen faded to black.

"You'll see more Fallout later on" said Luke.

"That was... intense" said Izuku.

"Yeah. Seeing my childhood best friend kill me again really shook me up" said Bakugo.

"How 'bout something more lighthearted next?" said Luke.

Huh. Part 4 of Fallout 4. Fitting. Thx for reading.
