Fallout 4 Pt. 1

"Now I'm gonna put Eri and Kota back in the kid's room again" said Luke snapping his fingers, "Why?" asked Izuku.

"Well this next is based off my favorite video game series... Fallout" said Luke, "Fallout?" said Ochako, "Yep. Fallout 4 to be exact. It's awesome and it's getting it's own TV show on Amazon Prime soon. Basically it's in the future and the world's been nuked by atomic warfare" said Luke. "My god..." said All Might.

"Yep. The world's a complete wasteland. But enough talk. Let's get started" said Luke as he pressed a button on the remote.

The screen was all black when suddenly it said 'BETHESDA GAME STUDIOS PRESENTS'

"What's Bethesda?" asked Kirishima, "It's the company that made the more recent Fallout games, but they were recently bought by Xbox" said Luke.

Suddenly the words 'FALLOUT 4' appeared.

It then showed footprints in sand and it was all in black and white. "War... war never changes" we hear Izuku narrate. The camera then moved up to show a World War 2 soldier running through a battlefield.

"In the year 1945. My great great grandfather, serving in the army, wondered when he'd get to go home to his wife, and the son he'd never seen" said Izuku as the scene changed to Izuku's great great grandmother and great grandfather as a child looking at a picture of Izuku's great great grandfather who looked a lot like Izuku.

"So in this universe my great great grandfather fought in World War 2?" asked Izuku, "Yep" said Luke.

"He got his wish. When the U.S. ended World War 2... by dropping atomic bombs on Hiroshima, and Nagasaki" said Izuku as it showed a bunch of bombers flying in the sky and then it showed a mushroom cloud destroying Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

"Forgot to mention your family's American in this Izuku" said Luke.

"The world awaited Armageddon. Instead... something miraculous happened" said Izuku as it showed a man showing a display of a mushroom cloud in a meeting with other world leaders.

"We began to use atomic energy not as a weapon... but as a nearly limitless source of power" said Izuku as it showed a lab with a man in a hazmat suit experimenting on nuclear energy and then a power plant with a futuristic monorail going by it.

"People enjoyed the luxuries once thought the realm of science fiction" said Izuku as it showed a strange floating robot with three eyes and three robot arms trimming the bushes, "Domestic robots" said Izuku. It showed an old fashioned but still advanced looking car driving by, "Fusion powered cars" said Izuku. It then showed a man in a lab wearing a giant device on his wrist with a screen that said 'Pip-Boy 1.0' on it, "Portable computers" said Izuku.

"But then... in the 21st century. People awoke from the American dream" said Izuku as it showed two boys fighting in a crater in the middle of the road. It then showed a crowd of people running towards a power plant of some sort which was on fire. "Years of consumption lead to shortages of every major resource" said Izuku.

"So we ran out of resources?" said Kaminari, "That's literally what he said idiot" said Jiro. "Why don't we just have Yaoyorozu make resources for everyone?" asked Sero, "I'm not making supplies for everyone on the planet" said Momo.

"The entire world unraveled" said Izuku as it showed a Chinese soldier walking through Anchorage Alaska watching hundreds of American soldiers parachuting into the area.

"Peace... became a distance memory" said Izuku as it showed a soldier wearing a massive high-tech suit of armor while the engineers repaired it and another man was carrying a gatling gun for him to use. The soldier had a look of sadness on his face.

"What's that guy wearing? It looks awesome!" said Kaminari, "It's called Power Armor, one of the big things in the Fallout games. He's wearing a T-60 model" said Luke while Mei started scribbling down blueprints.

"It is now the year 2077. We stand on the brink of total war" said Izuku as it showed two military vehicles with giant missiles on them driving through a neighborhood with a bunch of soldiers escorting them.

"And I am afraid... for myself... for my wife... for my infant son" said Izuku as it showed him looking at a picture of Ochako while wearing sort of futuristic looking military armor and holding some sort of futuristic looking rifle, walking down a road with a group of other soldiers.

"Because if my time in the army taught me one thing. It's that war... war never changes" said Izuku as he put the picture of Ochako away and walked down the road with his fellow army men.

"That's actually a pretty cool saying. 'War never changes' can I get it on a shirt?" asked Kaminari, "Sure here you go" said Luke as he snapped his fingers and suddenly a shirt with that sentence appeared in front of Kaminari. "Thanks" said Kaminari as he then put it on.

The screen then turned white and we hear a faucet running. It then showed an adult Izuku looking in the mirror in the bathroom, also everything was in color again. "War never changes" he said, "You're gonna knock 'em dead at the Veteran's hall tonight hon" said Ochako standing behind him. "You think?" said Izuku, "Absolutely. Now get ready and stop hogging the mirror" said Ochako, "Right" said Izuku with a smirk on his face.

Izuku shaved and then headed into the kitchen. "Ah good morning sir! Your coffee. 173.5 degrees Fahrenheit. Brewed to perfection! And today's newspaper, just delivered" said a robot that looked like the one they saw earlier, it had a British accent. "Thanks Codsworth" said Izuku as he took the mug of coffee out of Codsworth's hand, "Of course!" said Codsworth.

"We have one of those robots too?" asked Ochako, "Yeah. His name is Codsworth. He's a Mr. Handy robot" said Luke.

Izuku took a sip of his coffee and looked at a comic book on the counter. "Grognak the Barbarian and the jungle of the bat babies. My favorite" said Izuku.

"The fuck's Grognak the Barbarian?" said Bakugo, "A comic book hero in this" said Luke.

Izuku then opened a fridge to see a few rocket shaped bottles with the words 'Nuka Cola' on them. "Nuka Cola. Ice cold" said Izuku.

"Wait do I mean Coca Cola?" asked Izuku, "Yeah but it's called Nuka Cola in this" said Luke.

He then read the newspaper. "Hm. More of the same" he said.

Izuku then walked over to a law degree on a shelf. "I'm so proud of her" said Izuku.

"You're a lawyer in this Ochako" said Luke.

Suddenly we could hear a baby crying. "Ah sounds like someone made a stinky. I shall attended to young Toshi" said Codsworth as he floated down the hallway.

"Oh Toshi's in this too?" asked Ochako, "Well duh" said Luke.

Ochako chuckled. "You know, I was nervous at first. But Codsworth's really good with Toshi" said Ochako while she read the newspaper.

Izuku then sat on the couch watching the news when he heard the doorbell ring. "Can you get that? It's probably that salesman. He comes for you everyday" said Ochako.

Izuku opened the door to see a salesman there. "Good morning! Vault-Tec calling!" said the man.

"What's Vault-Tec?" asked Momo, "Well the world knows that there's probably gonna be a nuclear war soon so in America there's this company called Vault-Tec that's built 122 of these highly advanced Fallout shelters called Vaults around the country" said Luke, "What part of the country do me and my family live in?" asked Izuku, "In Massachusetts, but it's called the Commonwealth now. You live in a small community called Sanctuary Hills located near Boston. Anyways, let's get back to watching" said Luke.

"Whatever you're selling, I'm not buying" said Izuku, "Oh, no worries, sir. No worries at all! I'm not selling anything. Not today" said the Vault-Tec rep.

"You can't begin to know how happy I am to finally speak with you. I've been trying to days. It's a matter of upmost urgency. I assure you" said the rep, "Maybe I don't want to talk to you" said Izuku. "Oh..." the rep coughed nervously, "You do. Now I know you're a busy fellow so I won't take up much of your time. Time being a um... precious commodity. I'm here today to tell you, that because of your family's service to our country, you have been pre-selected for entrance into the local Vault! Vault 111" said the rep.

"Vault 111 huh? That's a lot a 1's" said Kaminari, "No shit Sherlock" said Luke.

"Go. A-way" said Izuku who wasn't in the mood for salesman to be at his door this early in the morning.

"This sounds kind of important. Shouldn't Midoriya be taking this more seriously?" asked Momo, "He's had a long night of changing Toshi and getting his speech ready. And it's still pretty early in the morning. He's not exactly in the mood to talk to some salesman so early" said Luke.

"Won't take but a moment! We do need to verify some information. To make sure you're cleared for entrance in the unforeseen event of *ahem* total atomic annihilation" said the rep.

"Come back some other time" said Izuku, "Come on hon. It's just a little paperwork. Let him fill it out, and it's done" said Ochako getting up from the couch.

Izuku sighed. "You're right. Let's get it over with" said Izuku turning to face his wife.

"Just need to get this pesky info all squared away!" the the Vault-Tec rep.

Izuku looked at the form. He wrote his name. Then he filled out his S.P.E.C.I.A.L. stats.

Name: Izuku Midoriya

Strength: 8

Perception: 3

Endurance: 3

Charisma: 2

Intelligence: 8

Agility: 2

Luck: 2

"What are those supposed to be?" asked Jiro, "His S.P.E.C.I.A.L stats. They're basically his skills or whatever" said Luke.

After Izuku was done filling out the form he handed it back to the Vault-Tec rep.

"Wonderful! That's everything. Just gonna walk this over to the Vault. Congratulations on being prepared for the future!" said the Vault Tec rep as he left, "Um... thanks again..." said Izuku before closing the door.

"Hey, it's piece of mind. That's worth a little paper work, right?" said Ochako as she sat on the couch. "For you and Toshi, no price is too high" said Izuku.

"Awwww" said everyone.

Ochako chuckled. "Good answer" she said, "I have my moments" said Izuku.

Suddenly they heard Toshi crying down the hallway again.

Codsworth came out of the room and over to Izuku. "Mr. Izuku. Toshi has been changed, but he absolutely refuses to calm down. I think he needs some of that "paternal affection" you seem to be so good at" said Codsworth.

Ochako giggled. "You heard Codsworth. Go on" said Ochako.

Izuku walked down the hallway until he reached Toshi's room.

"So we get to see what our grandson looks like?" asked Ochako's Dad, "Yeah Dad you do" said Ochako.

Izuku entered the room and walked over to a blue crib to see baby Toshi lying there. He was wrapped up in a blanket but his arms were free, he was also wearing a cap.

"Oh my god my grandson's so beautiful!" said Ochako's Mom, "I know right!" said Inko.

Toshi giggled and became happy when he saw his father. "Hey buddy. How ya doin?" said Izuku. He turned to see a book on the dresser next to Toshi's crib that said 'YOU'RE SPECIAL' on the cover, "Wonder what Toshi will grow up to be?" said Izuku.

He then turned back to his son and tickled his tummy making him giggle.

"How are the two most important men in my life doing?" asked Ochako who was standing there in the doorway.

"Spin the mobile a bit. He loves that" said Ochako. Izuku turned on the crib's mobile and the rocket ships on it started spinning making Toshi happy and he started giggling.

"Hey, how's my little guy? Much better now huh?" said Ochako as she walked over to the crib.

"This is so wholesome" said Mina, "Don't get too excited. It's all gonna change real soon" said Luke.

"Listen, after breakfast, I was thinking we could head up to the park for a bit. Weather should hold up" said Ochako as she turned to face Izuku, "Yeah, sounds like fun" said Izuku with a smile on his face.

"Sir? Mum? You should come and see this!" said Codsworth from the living room. "Codsworth? What's wrong?" said Ochako.

Izuku went back into the living room to see that Codsworth was looking at the TV.

"Followed by... yes, followed by flashes. Blinding flashes. Sounds of explosions... we're uh... we're trying to get confirmation..." said the news reporter.

"What? What did he say?" asked Ochako as she came in the living room holding Toshi.

"But we seem to have lost contact with our affiliated stations... We-we do have... coming in... confirmed reports. I repeat, confirmed reports of nuclear detonations in New York and... Pennsylvania" said the news reporter on the TV. "My god..." he said as he put a hand on his forehead realizing it was the end.

The screen then said 'PLEASE STAND BY'.

"Oh my god!" said Ochako, Izuku opened the front door.

"We- we need to get to the vault! Now!" said Izuku as he, Ochako, and Toshi rushed out of the house and down the road, leaving Codsworth behind.

Outside it was chaos. People were running out of their houses and trying to make their way to the vault. The military had been called in as well. There were giant gunships in the sky.

"Those things are called Verti-Birds" said Luke. Mei had started making blueprints.

"Residents of Sanctuary Hills! If you are registered, evacuate to Vault 111 immediately!" said a man on the intercom.

They ran down the road while Toshi was crying. "The Vault's this way! Come on!" shouted Ochako as they ran across a wooden bridge. "Hold on to Toshi!" shouted Izuku as they ran up a hill to the Vault.

When they got there they saw a ton of people trying to get in, there was also the Vault-Tec rep talking to a soldier with a clipboard.

"It's absurd! I AM Vault-Tec!" yelled the Rep, "You're not on the list. You don't get in" said the soldier, "I'm going in! You can't stop me!" said the Rep.

"Sir!" said one of the soldiers in power armor as he powered up his minigun, ready to shoot him.

"Whoooa! Ok! Ok!" said the Vault-Tec as he turned around and ran back down the hill, "I'm reporting thiiiis!!!" he shouted.

"Was that soldier seriously ready to mow down that salesman guy?!" said Kendo, "Well yeah. A lot of people couldn't afford entry to a vault or were just flat out denied entry cuz there was a limited amount of space or whatever" said Luke, "But that guy works for Vault-Tec! Wouldn't he be given a space in the Vault for all his hard work?" said Kaminari, "Well apparently not cuz Vault-Tec are assholes" said Luke.

"If you're in the program, step forward. Otherwise, RETURN HOME!" shouted the soldier with the minigun.

Izuku and his family stepped forward. "We need to get in! We're on the list" said Izuku. The soldier looked at his clipboard, "Infant... adult male... adult female... Ok, go ahead" said the soldier as he let Izuku and his family through the gate. "Thank you!" said Ochako, "Good luck ma'am, and God help us all" said the soldier.

"You two follow me! Come on!" said a man in a blue jumpsuit and security gear  as he lead them to the Vault.

"What's gonna happen to all those people outside the gate?" asked Ochako in concern, "We're doing everything we can, now keep moving!" said the man as they ran past a Verti-Bird that was landing.

"Step on the platform! In the center!" shouted the man as he pointed to a metal platform at the edge of the hill that had some of their neighbors already standing on it.

They stepped on the platform while the siren was blaring. "Alright that's it, send it down" said one the Vault-Tec people.

"Almost there. We're gonna be ok. I love you. Both of you" said Izuku, "We love you too" said Ochako as she held Toshi in her arms.

Suddenly a massive nuclear explosion went off in the distance.

"OH MY GOD!!!!!" screamed the audience.

"Oh my god!" screamed Ochako.

"NOW! NOW! SEND IT DOWN NOW!!!" screamed one of the Vault-Tec people as the platform, which was actually an elevator, started going down.

"Hold on!" shouted Izuku as the blast wave was getting closer to them. "Can't this thing move faster?!" said one of their neighbors since the elevator they were on was going pretty slow.

'Come on' said the audience in their heads as they hoped the elevator would make it down in time.

Right before the blast wave reached them they ducked down as the elevator made it's way down to the Vault.

'Oh thank god' said the audience in their heads.

Once they reached the bottom they breathed a sigh of relief. "We did it. We made it. We're ok..." said Ochako as she still held Toshi in her arms.

The metal gate in front of them lifted up allowing them to get to the Vault door which was already opened. It was sort of shaped like a giant gear.

"Everyone please step off the elevator and proceed up the stairs in an orderly fashion" said one of the Vault security guards.

"No need to worry, folks! We'll get everyone situated in your new home, Vault 111! A better future. Underground!" said the Overseer of the Vault.

"How is this a better future?! Their homes were just destroyed!" said Jiro.

"So we just...?" said one of their neighbors, "Yes. Up the stairs" said the security guard.

"I can't believe it... if we had left a minute later... we'd all be..." said one of the neighbors, "No no! Don't get caught up thinking about all that. You're safe now" said the Overseer.

"That guy's the Overseer of Vault 111. Overseers are the people who are in charge of the Vaults" said Luke.

"Everyone just head up these stairs, and through the door there" said the Overseer as they walked up the small flight of stairs and through the Vault door.

"Vault-Tec is here for you. All new residents please proceed in an orderly fashion. Welcome Home!" said the Vault computer system.

They walked across a metal bridge and over to a woman handing out Vault jumpsuits.

"You'll need your suits before we can take you further" said the woman as she handed Izuku and Ochako their vault jumpsuits.

"Uh... thanks. What now?" asked Izuku, "Just follow the doctor, here. He'll show you where to go" said the woman. "Alright you three. Follow me" said a man in a lab coat.

"See? This is our new home" said Ochako as she held Toshi, who had calmed down. "Oh you're going to love it here. This is one of our most advanced facilities. Not that the others aren't great, mind you" said the doctor as they walked down the hallway.

When they were walking down then passed a couple talking to one of the Vault employees. "It's gone... our home... Everything we had..." said the husband, "My mother and father down in D.C... Oh god, honey, what if they didn't make it?" said the wife as she started crying into her husband's shoulder.

"How... how long do you think we'll be down here?" asked Ochako, "Oh, we'll be going over all that in orientation. Just a few medical items we have to get through first" said the doctor as they entered a room that was lined up with these massive pod things.

"What are those things?" asked Ochako, "You'll just have to wait and see" said Luke.

They reached the end of the room where they stopped. "Just step in here and put your Vault suit on" said the doctor as he showed Izuku a pod that was labeled 'C7'

Suddenly, Toshi started crying in Ochako's arms. Izuku walked over to them. "Who's my little guy? I'm not going far. I'll just be over there" said Izuku as he pointed to his pod. "There he is, see? Daddy's not going far" said Ochako to her son.

Izuku and Ochako put on their Vault jumpsuits. They were blue, and had a yellow stripe going down the center and around the waist and around the neck. It also had the number 111 on the back in yellow.

They climbed into the pods and the doors closed. "The pod will decontaminate and depressurize you before we head deeper into the Vault. Just relax" said the doctor as he looked at Izuku through the pod's window.

"Oh so those things are just to check us for radiation or something?" asked Izuku, "No" said Luke, "But the guy said they were" said Ochako, "Just watch" said Luke.

Izuku took a deep breath. "Time for a whole new life" he said as he looked at Ochako and Toshi who were in the pod across from him. Ochako put her hand on the glass.

Izuku heard the pod's locking mechanism activate. "Resident secure. Occupant vitals: Normal" said the Vault computer system.

"Procedure complete" said the system. Suddenly, Izuku started to freeze as ice started forming in the pod.

"What the?!" said everyone.

"In 5... 4... 3... 2... 1" the last number was echoing in Izuku's head as everything went white.

"We just froze?!" said Ochako, "So it wasn't a decontamination pod!" said Izuku. "What the hell did you do half and half?!" said Bakugo, "Why do you think I'm the one who froze them?! What just because I can shoot ice?!" said Todoroki, "I thought it was obvious that quirks don't exist in this universe" said Luke.

...

Suddenly, Izuku could here something. The pod was being shut off.

"Manual override initiated. Cryogenic stasis suspended" said the computer system faintly.

Everything was blurry at first. He banged on the glass, trying to get out. But then he saw a woman in a teal blue hazmat suit of some sort walking over to the pod that had Ochako and Toshi still frozen in it. "This is the one. Here" she said as she pointed to the pod.

Suddenly, a man in a black leather jacket with a metal brace over his left arm came into view. He was holding a revolver and he had spiky blonde hair.

"Wait... is that?" said Kirishima.

"Open it" said the man. The woman switched the lever on the control panel next to the pod.

The pod opened up and Ochako and Toshi were unfrozen. Ochako started coughing and Toshi started crying again.

"*Cough* *Cough* Is it over? Are we ok?" asked Ochako, "Almost. Everything's going to be fine" said the man.

Izuku banged on the glass again, trying to get their attention.

"Come here... come here baby" said the woman in the hazmat suit as she tried to grab Toshi from Ochako.

"No, wait. No I've got him!" said Ochako as she tried to keep the woman from taking Toshi away from her.

"What are they trying to do with my baby?!" said Ochako in concern.

"Let the boy go. I'm only gonna tell you once" said the man as he pointed his revolver at Ochako.

"NO GET AWAY FROM THEM!!!" screamed Izuku.

"I'm not giving you Toshi!" screamed Ochako as she refused to let go of her son.

BANG!

"NOOOOO!!!!!" screamed the audience as they just watched Ochako die.

"OCHAKOOOOOO!!!!!" screamed Izuku and Ochako's parents.

Izuku couldn't say anything since the coldness of the pod kept him from being able to speak. He wanted to scream at the top of his lungs, but all he could do was breathe heavily.

"Goddamnit! Get the kid out of here and let's go" said the man as he walked over to Izuku's pod, and the woman closed Ochako's pod and walked away with Toshi.

He stood in front of Izuku's pod and looked at him through the glass. "At least we still have the backup" said the man as Izuku, as well as the audience, got a clear view of the man's face...

It was Bakugo. He had a beard and a huge scar across his left eye.

"BAKUGO/KATSUKI/KACCHAN/ME?!?!" said the audience.

"WHAT THE HELL KATSUKI?!?!" screamed Mitsuki, "YOU BASTARD YOU MURDERED OCHAKO!!!!!" screamed Izuku, "YOU SON OF A BITCH YOU MURDERED MY DAUGHTER!!!!!" screamed Ochako's Dad, "OTHER ME!!! STOP BLAMING ME FOR SHIT THE OTHER ME'S ARE DOING!!!!!" screamed Bakugo in his defense.

Izuku wanted to scream at Bakugo, but he couldn't because of the cold. He could just stare at Bakugo with hatred in his eyes while he just walked away. Izuku then turned to face Ochako's body. "Ochako... no..." he managed to whimper.

"Cryogenic stasis reinitialized" said the Vault computer system as Izuku was refrozen and everything turned white again.

...

Suddenly Izuku was once AGAIN unfrozen. He started coughing a lot.

He banged on the glass window of his pod, but it was no use.

"Critical failure in Cryogenic Array. All Vault residents must vacate immediately" said the Vault computer system as the door to Izuku's pod finally opened.

Izuku fell out of the pod onto the ground on his hands and knees. He was soaking wet.

He got back up on his feet and immediately rushed over to Ochako's pod.

"Come on! There has to be a release!" said Izuku as he tried to get Ochako's pod open.

He then saw the control panel next to her pod. He flipped the switch.

"Come on, come on, come on. Oh god!" cried Izuku as the door to Ochako's pod opened.

He put his hand on Ochako's cold, frozen face. "Ochako honey please wake up!" cried Izuku.

"Please be ok Ochako..." whispered Izuku, "It's ok Deku. I'm right here" said Ochako as she hugged Izuku.

After a few moments Izuku realized his wife was dead. He could still see the bullet hole in her forehead.

He collapsed to his knees in front of his wife's corpse and started crying.

After a few minutes he stopped crying and realized what he needed to do.

He got back up and pried Ochako's wedding ring off her cold dead finger.

"I'll find who did this... and I'll get Toshi back. I promise" he said before closing the door to her pod. He would come back for her body later and give her a proper burial.

He tried opening up the other pods but it was no use. Whenever he tried pulling the lever on one of the pods there was a honking noise and the Vault computer system would say "Malfunction in Cryopod manual release override"

He went over to the terminal next to the pods to check the life functions.

It said things like:

Cryogenic Array: Offline. Premature termination resulting in system failure. Isolated manual and remote overrides detected. Consoles disabled.

And stuff like:

Life Support: Offline. Premature termination resulting in system failure. Isolated manual and remote overrides detected. Consoles disabled.

And then when he checked the Pod Occupant Status:

[Pod C1: Empty]
[Pod C2: Mrs. Callahan]
[Pod C3: Mr. Callahan]
[Pod C4: Mr. Able]
[Pod C5: Mrs. Able]
[Pod C6: Ochako Midoriya and Toshinori Midoriya (infant)]
[Pod C7: Izuku Midoriya]
[Pod C8: Mr. Russel]

For most of them it was the same thing:

Occupant Status: Deceased. Cause of Death: Asphyxiation due to Life Support failure.

"They're all dead..." said Toru.

But for Izuku, Ochako, and Toshi it was different. For Ochako and Toshi it was:

Occupant Status: Unknown - - Pod Door Manual Override Engaged.

And for Izuku it was:

Occupant Status: Unknown - - Remote Override Engaged.

"Wait so someone unfroze Midoriya remotely? It wasn't an accident?" said Momo, "Yeah. But you're gonna have to keep watching to find out who it was" said Luke.

"Oh god... why would Vault-Tec do this?" said Izuku.

"Was it Vault-Tec? Or was it Bakugo and that lady in the hazmat suit?" said Sero.

He walked down the hallway and entered another room that had more people in those pod things.

He tried opening them but it just made that honking noise again and the Vault computer system would say "Malfunction in Cryopod manual release override"

He checked the terminal in that room and it just said the same thing. They were all dead.

He then went back into the hallway until he reached the door, but it was locked from the other side. "Malfunction in emergency exit door override. Please contact your Vault-Tec maintenance representative for service" said the Vault Computer System.

Izuku then saw a cart with a tool box and a few other things next to him. He grabbed a screwdriver off the cart.

He then decided to take the long way around. He headed down another hallway and passed by a window, but he wasn't looking at it.

He heard something at the window though but when he turned to see what it was there was nothing, so he continued walking down the hallway.

He passed by what looked like a small office of some sort so he decided to take a look inside.

There was a terminal so he decided to poke around on it.

The things on there were:

[VAULT 111 SECURITY INSTRUCTIONS]
[Operations Protocol Manual]
[Security Logs]

The first one said:

CONFIDENTIAL CONFIDENTIAL CONFIDENTIAL

SECURITY EYES ONLY | VIOLATION VTP-01011

Vault 111 is designed to test the long-term effects of suspended animation on unaware, human subjects. Security staff are responsible for maintaining installation integrity and monitoring science staff activity.

Under no circumstances are staff allowed to deviate from assigned duties. Insubordination or interference with vault operations are capital offenses. Security staff are authorized to use lethal force.

"Wait the Vault was just an experiment they were doing?!" said Izuku, "Yep. Basically people thought the vaults were these high tech bunkers that they spend the rest of their lives in where they're safe. But they're actually these social experiments approved of by the government. Each vault was doing a different experiment. For most of them the inhabitants spend the rest of their lives in there. Their children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and so on and so forth, spend their entire lives in the vault. But each vault is unique in it's own way, some are good experiments, while others are horrible and evil experiments. Vault 3's experiment was to open after 20 years but it was kept closed due to the inhabitants wishes but eventually they had to open because of a water malfunctioned but they were killed by raiders, which are the wasteland savages in this. Vault 8 was supposed to open after 10 years and they had this thing called the G.E.C.K. the Garden of Eden Creation Kit. Vault 11 had human sacrifices. Vault 12's door was designed to not close all the way so it's inhabitants would be exposed to radiation. Vault 13's experiment was that it was supposed to open after 200 years to study prolonged isolation, but something happened and they had to send someone out. Vault 15 was supposed to stay closed for 50 years, the descendants of the inhabitants there founded three raider groups and the NCR, the New California Republic. Vault 19 was divided into two separate groups that both ruled a side of the vault. Vault 21 had gambling. Vault 22 was doing this agricultural growth thing but now the whole place is covered head to toe in plants and stuff. Vault 29's inhabitants were under the age of 15, their parents were moved to a different Vault. Vault 34's experiment was that it was overstocked with weapons and ammunition. Vault 43 had 20 men, ten women, and one black panther. Vault 68 had 999 men and one woman, Vault 69 was the other way around" said Luke, "I wouldn't mind living in a Vault with 999 women" said Mineta, "Shut up Mineta. Vault 75 was located under a school and the children's parents were killed without them knowing and the kids were trained to be stronger and more intelligent. Vault 76 was the very first vault to open, they opened after only 25 years. Vault 77 had one man and a box of puppets. Vault 81 had a secret other part of the Vault where people watched them. Vault 87 experimented on it's inhabitants with this thing called FEV" said Luke, "What's FEV?" asked Momo, "You'll just have to wait and see. Vault 88 was never finished but it was meant to test various devices. Vault 92 was populated by musicians but the staff implanted this white noise thing in them making them go crazy and kill each other. Vault 95 had drug addicts and they helped them get over their addictions but after 5 years they gave them access to tons of drugs which are called 'chems' in this universe, to see how they would react. Vault 101 was supposed to have a dictatorial Overseer and the vault was never supposed to open, but it did open eventually but that's a story for another day. Vault 106 had this drug in the ventilation system that made the inhabitants suffer from hallucinations. Vault 108 had clones of this one guy named Gary and they could only say their own name, 'Gary'. Vault 112 had this virtual reality simulation called 'Tranquility Lane'. Vault 114 was meant for the more upper class citizens but it had worse conditions that the wealthy people weren't used too. Vault 118 was meant for the highest class people, movie stars, business tycoons, scientists, artists, etc. It was also meant for people who were more poor, they had more uncomfortable conditions. But the Vault's experiment never happened but the wealthy still used the vault as a shelter and they implanted their brains in robot bodies so they could live forever. And those are just some of the vaults" said Luke, "And Vault 111's experiment was that it froze us without our knowledge or consent?!" said Ochako, "That's right" said Luke.

Izuku then checked the Operations Protocol Manual. When he selected it it showed three things.

[Resident Admittance]
[Staff Duties]
[All Clear & Evacuation]

He selected Resident Admittance.

Upon Activation Notice from Vault-Tec, all personnel are required to report to the Entry Area and assist with admittance of Vault Residents. Security Personnel will maintain order and ensure that no personnel or residents attempt to evacuate the Vault.

Research staff will be responsible for resident intake and escort each to the designated cryogenic pod. Residents not accounted for in the manifest should be asked to step aside and detained forcefully if necessary.

Once all residents have been sealed into their preservation chambers dispose of any detainees. Vault entryway must remain sealed under any circumstances.

"They were gonna kill anyone who got in the Vault and weren't on the list..." said Jiro.

Izuku then selected Staff Duties. It was just stuff the scientists, security team, and other members needed to do.

Izuku then went back to the Operations Protocol Manual. He selected All Clear & Evacuation. There were two options.

[All-Clear Message]
[Mandatory Shelter Period]

He selected the first one.

Followed by a nuclear event, Vault-Tec will monitor hazards such as radiation levels, enemy invasion, subsequent attacks, and other factors. Once conditions are deemed safe, this terminal will receive an all-clear notice.

Upon receiving the all-clear notice, Vault-Tec personnel may be evacuated at Overseer discretion. Disregard any notices from organizations or individuals not associated with Vault-Tec, including government and military. Residents are not to be disrupted or evacuated. Vault-Tec will attend to their needs remotely once Vault 111 staff has been evacuated.

Izuku then selected Mandatory Shelter Period.

Vault 111 is classified as a short-term assignment. Non-resident personnel are expected to carry out research duties and basic maintenance of the Vault while awaiting the All-Clear signal to evacuate.

In the absence of an All-Clear message from Vault-Tec, the Overseer may be elect to evacuate staff after a mandatory shelter period of 180 days of containment. Under no circumstances may Vault 111 staff evacuate during this shelter period, unless receiving the All-Clear message from Vault-Tec.

"6 months of isolation. That must have been brutal for the staff" said Momo.

Izuku then went back to the very first menu and selected Security Logs.

[October 23, 2077]
[December 25, 2077]
[March 14, 2078]
[April 23, 2078]
[LAST ENTRY]

Izuku looked at the first entry.

God. It finally happened. The world's over. Barely got all the residents inside. Not everyone made it...

Now it's just us and the icebergs. I don't get it. Eggheads tried to explain to me that keeping them frozen is a big experiment. For a better future or something. I don't know. It just doesn't seem right that we were smiling at them all that time before putting them on ice. Shouldn't we have told them something?

"Yes. Yes you should've" said Ochako.

Izuku then checked the next entry.

Christmas underground. Got together with the rest of the security boys and support staff and had a little party. Best gift that got handed out was a Fancy Lad Snack Cake that wasn't too stale.

None of the scientists came. Overseer wasn't there either. I just don't get them. They hiding something from us? Another company secret only for the higher ups?

Whatever. Just a few more months until the All-Clear is supposed to come through. Then we can start rebuilding.

Then Izuku looked at the next entry.

Only a few weeks left in our mandatory shelter period. Everyone's getting stir crazy. Some people are even saying the All-Clear Signal is never coming. We can't stay here much longer, that's for sure. It's not just the fact that I've been staring at the same break room and bunk bed for over six months. It's that fact that we only have enough food left for another few months. Tops.

The Overseer keeps telling everyone to be patient, focus on work. He's definitely keeping us out of the loop. Something bad is going on. I just know it.

Then he looked at the next entry.

The main door accessing the vault exit is malfunctioning. Now the only way out is through the Overseer's evacuation tunnel, how convenient for him. He has one of the science team watching the door into his office at all times from a little makeshift checkpoint.

Got invited to a meeting tonight. Support staffers and security only. Sounds like I'm not the only one with an axe to grind.

Then he checked the final log.

No All-Clear from Vault-Tec is coming. We need to leave. We're all but out of food. I almost murdered Stanley for dropping a damn salt cracker on the floor.

A handful of us confronted the Overseer about opening up the Vault. I never knew a man that small could shout that loud. Now he's locked himself in his office along with the rest of the science staff. We're supposed to hand over any food, weapons, and medicine we have by tonight, or there's "going to be consequences."

I've talked to everyone. It's time. One way or another, we're getting out of this Vault.

After that Izuku was done looking at the terminal. He grabbed what looked like a syringe of some sort next to the terminal.

"That's a Stimpack. It's basically used for healing" said Luke.

He headed back down the hallway and went through a few doors when suddenly he saw a giant cockroach of some sort.

"WHAT THE HELL IS THAT THING?!?!" screamed everyone, "It's a Radroach. And if you think that's freaky wait until you see what else is out there in the world now" said Luke.

The radroach immediately attack Izuku but he just punched it and killed it just like that, he also got a bit of xp from doing so.

"Giant... roaches? What the Hell..." said Izuku.

He then looked inside a room to see that it had a kitchen, another terminal, and some tables. It also led to two other rooms, the bathroom and the barracks, but he didn't have time to look in those right now. He went on the terminal to see what was on it. It had a video game called the Red Menace on it and the high scores but now wasn't the time for games. He needed to focus on getting out of there.

He then left the room and saw a baton on a table and grabbed it.

He opened a door where he entered a room with two massive generators. He assumed they were what kept the Vault running.

He then saw a radroach try to go between the generators but it just got electrocuted and died. But at least that told him not to try going between the generators, so he instead went around them.

He went up to a small flight of stairs where there were two radroaches, and a skeleton wearing a raggedy Vault jumpsuit.

One of the radroaches leapt at Izuku, but Izuku blocked it's attack with the baton. Another radroach tried to attack Izuku, but Izuku just blocked it's attack and killed it.

He looked at the skeleton. "Am I the only one left?" he said.

"Exactly how long has Midoriya been frozen? Because it would take some time for a corpse to become a skeleton. And that skeleton looks like it's been there for a while" said Momo, "You'll just have to keep watching to find out" said Luke.

He then headed through a door up another flight of stairs where there were more radroaches. He swung even harder at those ones.

He then continued going down the hallway. He stopped to take a drink of water from one of the water fountains.

He then opened a door where he entered what looked like the main office, he assumed it was the Overseer's office. There was a large desk with a terminal on it, a tipped over office chair with a skeleton wearing a lab coat next to it, and a few other things.

He walked over to the skeleton. "I can't be the only one left... HELLO?! ANYONE?!?!" he shouted, but no one answered.

There were a few stimpacks on the desk so he grabbed those. He then saw a pistol and some ammo on the desk, so he grabbed that too.

"That kind of gun is called a 10mm pistol. They're standard Vault-Tec issue. It has a decent range and does a decent amount of damage" explained Luke.

Izuku then went into the security part of the room where there was a shelf with another 10mm pistol and some ammo. He grabbed the ammo but not the other pistol since he only needed one. He then noticed a large gun of some sort in a locked glass case on the wall.

"Nice. Coming back later for you" said Izuku.

Izuku then went into a room behind the desk where he saw a bed, a few dressers, a locker, and a bathroom. He assumed it was where the Overseer slept. There was some more ammo in the locker so he grabbed that.

He then went back into the main office and tried to open the door that lead to the next area but it was no use. "Terminal's got this locked" he said.

He went on to the Overseer's terminal that was on the desk and decided to go digging around on it. Most of it was just the same stuff he saw on the other terminal, Overseer instructions, job assignments that sort of thing, but he then noticed a thing labeled 'Cryolator' on it.

It said:

Clearance: Overseer Eyes Only

I've long dreamed of making cryogenic freezing available in a portable, on-demand form. The Cryolator is my latest attempt. Thankfully we're in no short supply of the chemicals and components I need to tinker with the prototype. It's a nice way to occupy the time as we wait for the All-Clear Signal.

"So that's what the thing on the wall was" said Izuku. "So those Vault-Tec assholes are trying to copy my right side is that it?" said Todoroki, "No. Shut up" said Luke.

Izuku then read the Overseer's log.

[Preparations]
[October 23]
[Systems Malfunction]
[Supplies Running Low]
[Mutiny]

He read the first one.

The final staff orientation is complete, all but a few of the residents down in Sanctuary Hills have been enrolled, and several from Concord as well. Vault-Tec supervisors came up this week to do a technical review with me. This Vault is ready to open.

I can only imagine what wonders our residents will get to witness. The notion of leaping forward in time - I almost wish I could join them and see the promise of our future realized.

He then read the next one.

It's happened. We were lucky that most of the staff was nearby when the early warning came through. We had less notice than expected, but only Nordhagen was missing when we sealed the entrance.

Resident Admittance went smoothly. Everyone made it, even the family that waited until the last minute. I was worried there would be more suspicion, but things happened so fast for these people. They must have been too overwhelmed to question the cryogenic pods.

And then he read the next one.

Strange issue today with pod C3. Subject appeared to be having heart palpitations. Nothing life-threatening, but unusual. We realized almost too late that the pod was malfunctioning. The cryogenic array almost started thawing her out.

We're not sure, but I suspect a hiccup in Vault-Tec's remote override systems may have sent an errant signal. We'll have to keep an eye out. I only hope their systems are reliable once we evaluate the staff.

And then the next one.

There's been no All-Clear Signal yet, even though we're nearing the end of the 180 day Mandatory Shelter Period. Supplies were never intended to last much more than that, and despite my best efforts, people are beginning to question what we're doing down here.

If people think we can just leave when the 180 days are up, they're insane. The radioactive exposure would still be potent enough to fry everyone if the Vault seals are breached that early. The whole point of the All-Clear was to receive additional instructions from the main office.

I don't know what to do. I can't open the  Vault. I can't expect our supplies to last forever. I just have to keep everything under control until the All-Clear...

And then Izuku read the final one.

A faction led by the security personnel have turned on me, demanding they be allowed to leave the Vault. Idiots. I will not open the door to be irritated to death out there.

I'm consolidating the remaining supplies, putting the staff on lockdown. We're going to have to start prioritizing who deserves what little food we have left. I've been too damn generous with the rations.

If people don't like it, well, that's fewer mouths to feed...

"The Overseer had to make tough choices it seems" said Nezu.

Izuku then opened the evacuation tunnel.

He entered a hallway where he saw multiple radroaches down on the other end.

He aimed his 10mm pistol and fired multiple rounds at the abominations, killing them all. Good thing he remembered his army training.

He continued down the hallway and reloaded his gun.

He then went through a few more doors until he reached the large Vault door. Where he saw more skeletons and another radroach pecking at a skeleton. He also noticed there were bullet marking everywhere.

Izuku snuck up being the radroach that was pecking at the skeleton and hit with his gun. Then another radroach came out from under the stairs, but Izuku killed that one too.

He looked at the skeleton. "Is this all that's left? Did anyone get out?" he said.

He then walked over to the Vault door control panel that had another skeleton on the ground in front of it. The big red button to open the door was covered by a glass casing. He tried opening the casing but it just made the honking noise and the Vault computer system said "Pip-Boy interface required to activate Vault door cycling sequence. Have a nice day"

"Pip-Boy? You mean that giant thing we saw that guy wearing at the beginning intro?" asked Momo, "Yeah but not the same one you're thinking of" said Luke.

"Pip-Boy, Pip-Boy, where can I get a Pip-Boy?" said Izuku as he looked around to see if there was a Pip-Boy anywhere, he then nearly tripped on the skeleton below him.

"God damnit! Stupid skele-" but then he noticed that the skeleton's detached arm had a Pip-Boy on it's wrist. He picked it up, dropping the skeleton arm.

He looked at it.

Then put it on.

He then strapped it on and pressed the power button and it whirred to life, he also wiped the dust off the screen.

It then said 'Initializing...' as it showed Vault Boy giving a thumbs up on the screen.

"Who's that supposed to be?" asked Izuku, "That's Vault Boy. He's basically Vault-Tec's mascot" said Luke. "He looks kinda like you, Mirio" said Nejire to Mirio.

It then showed Izuku's menu and stats.

"So the Pip-Boys have become more advanced?" asked Momo, "Well duh. The Pip-Boy you guys saw in the beginning intro was the first prototype. It was the Pip-Boy Mark 1, this is the Pip-Boy Mark 4" said Luke.

"What's it do?" asked Izuku, "Oh all sorts of things. It's always handy to have one out there in the post-apocalyptic wasteland. I'm not gonna tell you all the things it can do, just keep watching to see for yourself" said Luke.

"I can't wait to make my own version" said Mei as she had her notebook ready.

He then pulled the white plug out of the Pip-Boy and plugged it into the Vault door control panel. The glass casing swung open. His Pip-Boy said: "VAULT DOOR REMOTE ACCESS READY"

He pulled the plug out of the control panel and put it back in his Pip-Boy, then slammed his fist down on the big red button.

*Cue Fallout 4 theme song*

The alarms started blaring. "Vault door cycling sequence initiated. Please... stand back" said the Vault computer system as a giant robot arm thing of some sort inserted itself inside the back of the Vault door and pulled it inwards, then moved it to the side.

The metal bridge extended and Izuku stepped foot out of the Vault.

He walked back down the small flight of stairs and approached the elevator they came on.

Before he stepped on it he took off his wedding ring and put on Ochako's.

"Aw he's putting on his wife's wedding ring to remember her by" said Mina.

He stepped on the elevator and after a moment, it went up.

"Enjoy your return to the surface. And thank you for choosing... Vault-Tec" said the Vault computer system as Izuku went back up to the surface.

'I'm coming Toshi' he said in his head.

HOLY FUCKING HELL MY LONGEST YET!!!!! Next chapter's gonna be a continuation of this just so you all know. I'm doing all of Fallout 4. Happy October 23. And remember, war... war never changes.
