Night 1
"Hey Jackson?"
"What?"
"Do you think that we'd be able to finally live peacefully?" Jackson looked at me.
"Possible chance. I mean, we did sorta move/ran away." I giggled, setting down the box and collapsing on the air mattress.
"Man, I'm beat."
"You're beat? We still have to get the rest of the boxes outside before it starts to rain!" I sighed and got back up.
"Man! Before I know it my back is going to just shatter like porcelain." Jackson came behind me and slapped the back of my head.
"Hey! That hurts!"
"Get working lazy."
"Nyeh!" I stretch my arms and walk outside, the evening air was cool and calming. Jackson was besides me, grabbing two boxes full of clothing. Once he left, I grabbed a box full of my favorite mangas that I bought with my hard earned cash. When I looked between the trees, I saw something white.
"Come on Aubrey!!" I quickly shook my head and ran inside with the boxes.
"S-Sorry!" Jackson again, smacked me in the back of the head, and i whimpered.
"You can carry the last batch."
"But there's like, twenty boxes!" He looks past me.
"There is only two."
"Why do I have to do everything?!" I whined.
"Because, you're the one who wanted to move to a far away place and bring all of their cosplay, manga, animes, and other junk here."
"It's not junk!"
"It's pretty useless to me." I stuck my tongue out at him and he stuck his out as well.
"For your age, you sure act like a child."
"Don't judge me because I'm more awesome." He rolled his eyes and went into his room. I quickly ran and grabbed the last two boxes and looked at the trees again. It wasn't there. I looked at the moon, crescent moon.
When I opened the last box, I emptied everything inside and found grandmother's old book that she passed down to me. Of course, I never opened it.
I picked up the brown, rusty book with rubies and garnets, a little dream catcher with a white feather and electric purple bead in the middle, the corners of the book cover was tearing, let alone the fabric that stayed for years, a few water stains, rusty and brown, golden beads embedded the large circle in the middle, and silver string making designs of moons, stars, symbols, and even animals.
It was beautiful, though the aging book made it look quite useless, grandmother always told me of the secrets that was in this book before she passed away.
I went to my room, staring down at the book and sitting on my bed.
Should I open it?
Grandmother never told me when to open it. So I didn't know, and my curiosity was getting more and more stronger, but I quickly shoved it under my bed and stared at my ceiling.
The moonlight, though barely any, gave out shapes of animals and even some figured. The silhouettes danced around in my room, doing whatever they could do, moving left, right, up, down, even sideways. It was beautiful, and all I remember was watching them until almost sunrise.
