"Water is what gives us life"

27|THE HEALING OCEAN

The ocean around her is like life itself and in a way it is. When her fingers touch the water she finds herself at home, as if nothing in this world nor the next can ever harm her again. Isolde's worries and pain has all been taken away from her, with only the smiles and happiness remaining. There she can be free and joyful and the one that she's meant to be. The water brings her these feelings like never before, and it makes her feel like the whole world is gone and only she and the ocean are left.

It comforts her in ways that nothing else has ever done in her life. The warmth from the ocean brings her happiness, and she continues to play with it. Not seeing nor noticing that she is being watched. Not only by Ahmeya but also Dimitri who stares at her with a strange look, yet the smirk is there on his face. Neither one of them did anything but watch the girl and only one unaware of the other one, yet they were both there and stared at the girl who I admired the ocean as if she were seeing it for the first time and perhaps in this light she was.

In Isolde's mind she's experiencing the ocean for the first time in her life. Even when she has gone to the ocean before, and she has been there for quite some time. Yet, this is the first time that she's truly feeling like she's sensing the ocean itself. The life force that flows through the waves and moves in motions that she might never even understand. It is life itself, and it is a power, and only she is feeling it run through her veins as if it had connected to her blood.

The girl does not care for the rest of the world nor the battle that is taking part only some miles from her. It seems to be the furthest thing in her mind at the moment as if nothing else but the ocean matters. The creature is still on her arm, and now she's finally opening her eyes and seeing it. Her eyes are able to see once more and this time she sees the light before her vision turns normal. The creature with the ocean in the background being the very thing that her eyes land on when they adjust.

While normally the stubborn Princess would most likely wish to try the being on her arm off her and possibly even try to find something to stab it with or throw it as far away from her as possible to not get eaten or killed, she finds that she allows it to stay. This creature that has a strong bond to her almost. It is slimy, it can be seen on its whitish paled skin flesh. It is a jellyfish of some kind, but even Isolde would not be able to tell what it is exactly.

It has these strange tentacles that are wrapped around her arms, and yet they do not hurt her. They stay in place to keep the creature there, but it does not harm her and nor does it have any plans on doing so. Instead, it is there to keep her alive. For like the girl sees the creature and the ocean she also notices the blood around her and the blood that she's losing. In a matter of seconds it takes for her to realize that she's dying, and yet she does not feel any pain of any kind, none at all.

Only seconds are passing by her, and yet she feels as if hours have gone by when in truth they have not. Those sense of peace which this girl has never known before has brought her this new vision of things. A vision which shocks her to the core, for the first time in her life, Isolde is finally understanding the world. Perhaps not all in it but she can understand life. This knowledge has found her, as if it is traveling through the waves themselves that carry away her blood and clean the beach. Her blood blends with the ocean and is carried away by the soft saves, and it disappears.

However, it does not truly disappear. It remains floating in the ocean, and it stays there. Perhaps forever and perhaps it will find a way to become nothing. The dark haired Princess lets out a breath as she continues to play with the waves. As if a child were playing with a toy. Still, the ocean is no toy and that she knows very well. The ocean is alive, and it is flowing thorough the girl. Keeping her alive? She does not know. She does not truly understand or know why she is not dead yet but choices to not question that.

Somehow she understands that if the world wishes her dead then she would die but if it wants her alive which it creamy does then she would be alive. The ocean as well as the world is a mysterious thing and there are a lot of mysteries that will never be solved and that Isolde is aware of. She might never know why the world wants her alive but all she knows is that it does want her to breathe and to live and be alive.

Dimitri has had enough of watching the girl sit there and stare and play with the ocean. As if she were nothing more than a child that has discovered something new, and perhaps she is. While his actions have been questionable, he knows what has to be done, and how to do it. He takes a hidden dagger which he has had on. His father had handed it to him after he had found him looking for a girl that is human, nearly took his head for the fact that he let her escape, and she is a woman for that record and not to mention nothing more than a human that is weaker than he in every single way possible.

He stalks quietly over to Ahmeya where she still stares with this strange look on her friend, who is by the ocean and admiring it. The ocean nymph is almost fascinated with the sight that she's seeing in front of her as never has she seen anything like this before. However, one should always expect something extraordinary from Isolde for she does have that effect on people. She's hypnotized by the things that she sees and while others may see a girl playing with the ocean, she sees her future Queen accepting her destiny.

Lifting his dagger up into the air he strikes at the unknown ocean nymph and stabs her in the back. Right where the heart would be. A gasp escapes from the girl as her eyes widen when the rush of pain enters her body. However, the dagger had struck her heart. It had gone through her body, but only the tip managed to slide into the heart itself. She falls down to her knees from the pure agony, yet never does she scream and never will she be caught screaming of pain.

She turns her head to look at him with her black eyes to see that he can only smirk. "It is nothing personal, my dear. As much beauty as you hold there has to be order in the world, and they must be dealt with. It has to be done. The Hunters will do what it takes to restore order to this world and all the other ones" He speaks to her. Blood has begun to drip down from her mouth, as it has soaked the gown which she wears. The anger in her eyes is there as she falls down to her stomach and closes her eyes.

Dimitri takes the dagger from her body and wipes off the blood satisfied with himself for what he has done. His eyes catch sight of the girl who is unaware of the things that just took place as she plays with the water. He stalks towards her with the dagger still in hand, slightly bloody from not being wiped clean enough. He smirks to himself. Knowing that he should have done this a long time ago, and he should have killed her the first time that he struck her with that arrow that should have ended her.

This sympathy that he had for her before and even impressed with her behavior and let her live should never have even happened. Perhaps he will be punished for killing her but let them for he is about to do the world a favor by ended this here and there. He walks over to her and raises the dagger up into the air as he is about to strike her. Yet as he was about to she turns around and faces him, and she is the one that smirks.

Her head tilts to the side as she grabs the hand that holds the dagger, stopping him in midair forms striking at her. Isolde stands up, her feet in the ocean as she stands there and looks at him. One of her eyes is emerald green while her other eye remains the same pale green which she was born with. Dimitri stares at her with shock written on his face and in his eyes, not only for her eyes but for the look that she gives him and the way that everything is about her, for she is alive when she should be dead.

The heart within her chest should not be beating, and it should be dead, she should be dead and not standing there before him. Yet there she stands, and she holds his hand, her grip stronger than he thought would be possible. Isolde does not speak as she forces him to drop the dagger, and he does. It lands on the sand where the ocean touches it. The ocean lifts the dagger into the air. The water swiftly rising up into this wave shape and lifts itself over to her, and with her other hand she takes the knife and drops his hand.

He backs away from her in shock as he stares at her. Never has he seen the ocean move in this way. Isolde chuckles as she takes a step forward, still in the water but closer to the sandy beach. She holds the dagger in her hands and swirls it around as if she were playing with it or deciding what she wanted to do next. "You speak of order when it is you and what you stand for that unbalance this world" She speaks, her voice is darker than her normal voice.

Clearly the girl had heard the words which he had spoken to Ahmeya before leaving her there to die. The anger inside Isolde when she knows of the thing that he has done will come to great use for what she is about to do next. Dimitri's jaw clenches as he too feels anger. The two of them have not known each other for a long time, and yet they are enemies and will fight to the death to protect their side of the battle. He glares at her with so much hatred as that is what his heart feels for her.

"Without the ocean you're nothing. Just a weak human that is not capable of anything. You're nothing" He speaks to her, the anger shining through his words. Perhaps he is trying to anger her which in his mind would be the best thing to do, but he should not know that he does not only anger the girl who does personally love it when she gets angry for then she has her best ideas for the things she will do to people, but he has also angered the ocean itself as well as the King that controls it all.

"That may be. All was nothing once. The great world we stand on was once nothing at all. To be considered nothing only means that the spark has not been found but once it has the nothingness turns into greatness. To be nothing should be considered an honor for the whole world is right there for the taking" She speaks. Her head is still tilted to the side as her eyes do not stray from the man, her hands fiddle with the dagger while speaking.

To say that he was not afraid of her would be a lie, yet there is not a change this young man would admit to that. He had been slightly afraid of her when she managed to escape his clutches, and yet he finds himself reliving that fear. His face does not show the fear on him and nor would he ever speak the words out loudly, so the whole world can take them in. No, he was going to die before he would admit to it and that is a vow that he made himself at this very moment. However, still he cannot help but feel like the girl is correct in her words.

That too he would not admit. Though perhaps these are not even her words at all for it would appear that she has been possessed and yet when he looks into her eyes, as strange as her eye color is at the moment he does see that the girl that he looked in the eye not that long ago when she had him pinned down is still there and fighting. Perhaps even begging to stab him like he had stabbed her friend (which he does not feel sorry for and would do again) in the back, literally.

Something else tells him that she's about to do much worse to him, the thoughts inside her head are endless and there is none who truly knows what she comes up with next. "Maybe so but once your life has left your body you will be nothing more than forgotten bones. Perhaps I shall even make a mug out of skull. It would be a pleasure to drink from and know that I was the one that defeated you, and I was the one that killed you" He speaks, however he stops himself when the girls only chuckles, amused by his words.

Not taking them seriously. "I suppose my memory would live on forever if you were to drink out of my skull for I would always be remembered. Perhaps it is not such a terrible thing at all. Though I doubt it would be rather comfortable to drink out of a skull, and how would one do that? Please do explain yourself this strange thing that you wish to do to my skull" She asks him, mocking his words as well as him. Though while the girl has not looked at her fallen friend, she is aware that she's there and is dying right in front of her.

While Isolde is keeping the man occupied and plays with his words and anger, the ocean makes its move. As if it knew what she wanted it to do it moves towards the ocean nymph and slowly guides her to the ocean. Where he does not notice her and where she is able to heal. That way he will think that he has the victory when in truth Isolde has the upper hand. It has often been said, in her childhood that her mind works in mysterious ways, and it is the truth.

The ocean carries the nymph towards the bottom, her own blood blending with the waves but as she is in the water she can feel it begin to heal her body. This is where she belongs and while the ocean does not often heal someone for no reason for death is part of life and life must always go on, this ocean nymph has a destiny and death cannot take her this day for it has been saved for another day, that is if she does follow that path as destinies are always changing and shifting, much like the tides.

Breath runs through her body as she slowly opens her eyes. She looks up at the surface to see through the water that Isolde stands there a close by her is the same man that had tried to take her life away. To say that Ahmeya is not anger would be the biggest lie that has ever passed her mouth. The thoughts and ideas of how to kill him, slowly and painful have started to form in her mind, and she is eager to do the things that she wants with him, all which will end up in him dying.

Despite her anger she remains in the ocean for her wound has not yet been fully healed and there is only so much that the ocean can do for her, and she will not want to make it worse or to the point where even the ocean is to unravel to heal her. Instead, she listens how the two of them speak, while one feels the pure anger and shows it the other one feels mused by the conversion, and it is clear to see who is who. The way that Isolde has had her emotions almost high end to the point where she is the larger than the one that she used to be, and yet the same one.

She holds the dagger in her hands, not being specifically careful with the sharp blade that had almost killed her friend. The Princess Isolde just smiles wickedly. She does have many thoughts in her head of how she wants to do this and there are many ways that she could end this war, and yet she chooses to wait out her option until she has found the perfect one. The one that she will use, and it will bring and even wider smile to her face.

"It is remarkable to know what a terrible, terrible soldier and assassin you are. Cannot even kill a simple girl, twice. I wonder just how terrible you truly are. Though, I doubt I would be disappointed for the exceptions are rather low" She speaks to him with a smirk on her face, the smirk that will send men to their graves if looked upon it. It means that she has found the perfect plan, and it is about to come into actions. Dimitri is about to find out exactly who he has been messing with, and he will come to regret it.
