"Be calm like the waves"
25|MAGIC HAS A MIND OF ITS OWN
"The two of you have to be the worst captors that this world has ever had?" Poseidon speaks when he stands behind them. His eyes have found the girl which makes his heart go wilder than it has ever been. Yet, now he knows that she's alive, and she still breathes. He has to hurry to end this and yet knows that this will not end in a short time, and it will take some time to end this war. Dimitri and Hunter turn around to be faced with the King standing there with a smirk on his face, hiding his emotions as well as his pain.
"I would have expected a challenge for me when I arrive, but it would appear all I see is an angry son and even angrier father who appear to have been angered by a woman. A woman who is higher than him, despite her small size. I do wonder how you were ale to let a woman get under your skin so much that all you could do was harm her to love her mouth... I do believe that I taught you better than this" Poseidon speaks when the two creatures look at him in shock as they did not expect to see him there, at least not for some time.
When Hunter had believed that Poseidon could not find them for they were in a forest that marks sure that he would stay out, yet there here he stands. Hunter however doesn't waste any time to attack the King, no matter what he says or mocks him, he attacks him. Using all the anger that he had in his body he attacks Poseidon. Still, Poseidon has the upper hand. He might not be as tall or creature looking as Hunter, but he does have his mall size which he can use, not to mention he is the King of the ocean and the Deep Blue.
Each time that Hunter tries to attack him and hit him his fists goes through Poseidon's body which takes the shimmer of water as soon as he touches him. This makes the King smirk as all he does is stand there. This he uses often. He stands there, but it is not him there at all but a version of himself. As he has done so many other times he can use water to create an image of himself, when the sun shines it can be seen as water but in the thick forest it cannot be seen.
Because the water is him, and he is the water, he can control it and act as if it were truly him in person. He often does this to his younger brother which he even as this takes place he is down in the Underworld with his brother, using one of his images there. It works the same as his own person and what happens somewhere else, he can see and feel. He can know things without being present. Water is a powerful tool, and he is the one that controls it. He is water itself.
Each punch that Hunter lands on it does the same thing, which does frustrate the creature terribly. "You know, I had believed your silly little gang had grown larger than this, but it would appear that there are only the two of you. Such a shame, truly it is" Poseidon speaks with mock tone in his voice. Dimitri has now finally understood why the two of them belong together, why Isolde and Poseidon are meant for each other. He can see it more clearly than he should.
While the two of them are fighting Dimitri stands back to avoid anything and finally sees something which he had not seen before. The girl, Isolde stands up. Her body covered in blood, and she still bleeds everywhere. He does not notice the creature that has locked itself around her arm. Despite the pain that she must be going through she still stands up. Unknown to Dimitri Poseidon's energy and his aura is the only thing that helps her stand on her feet. Somehow the two of them make themselves stronger by being with one another or close to each other.
He ignores the battle which Poseidon and his father are fighting, this time Poseidon has shown himself and has taken his weapon to fight the creature which he created. Dimitri watches the girl for a moment as she uses the trees to keep her standing, but it would appear that she is not aware of the things that are happening around her, as if she is not even seeing them all, and he would be correct, Isolde had gained feeling in her body and could move it around where it was not as motionless anymore, but her eyes stayed silent.
Despite feeling that she blinks her eyes, her vision itself remains black, and she cannot see a thing. Her body does not feel any pain at all and her lips have even found themselves smiling a bit. However, she is aware that something is happening even when she cannot see it at all. Isolde can hear something around her, and yet she cannot be certain what it is. All she is certain of is his voice. She hears at as clearly as if he were speaking right in front of her, even when he's far away from her.
Dimitri walks over to her, and she gasps when she feels someone standing by her. "Your lover does not wish to die, does he?" He asks her with a small smirk on his face. He looks at her bleeding wound which he originally created and his smirk widens. It will not take long until the girl has taken her last breath, and it is close to it. It does however make him confused to know how she is even able to stand with the pain and the wounds on her body, she should be in pure agony.
"He's not my lover and even if he were, even I do not sink that low" She speaks to Dimitri, hiding the fact that she would want him to be her lover and she would want Poseidon to be hers. Somehow she feels that way without knowing why, though Isolde is never about to admit that to anyone. He chuckles. "According to how your heart reacts to the word 'lover' I would only have to say that you do think of him as such despite there being no intimacy" He speaks to her, much to her dismay, and glares daggers at the spot where she hears his voice.
"I doubt you have even shared a night with a woman before, so you cannot judge my life" She speaks and when she hears nothing but silence (other than the fighting noise in the background), she does smirk, knowing that she hit a nerve. "No woman wants a man that is focused on killing other women. Though, I doubt any woman would want you even if you were not a Demon" Isolde says, playing with his emotions and just him. It is what she does best and while her choices are not the best, she does have this ego as well as reputation to uphold.
"I was not aiming at you if you must know but in the end your death was inevitable. My only regret is that I did not aim higher for if I had done that then perhaps the arrow that gone through your heart, and you would not be standing here. Then again, I highly doubt you will be standing for a very long time. It would appear your body is dying and there is no one to save you. Once my father has slain your lover there is nothing to stop us from killing you" He speaks.
Even Isolde could tell that he was lying to her. She did not even need her sight which she does hope will return to her soon because she does not enjoy not being able to see. "I heard you speaking about a man, I doubt he will be joyful when he learns that you have killed me" She speaks. Wishing that she could see the look on his face, hoping that it has fallen and that he's shocked. His silence she will have to enjoy instead. It makes her smirk, knowing that she is correct.
"I will not need my sight to see your fear. Whoever it is that you were supposed to deliver me to, he expects me alive and will not be pleased when I am hurt. Perhaps I shall just end my life myself and watch from Heaven as the two of you will suffer for the rest of your lives while I will be in forever peace, happy and joyful. It will be a sight that I wait to see" Isolde continues one with her argument. What she does not see is how Dimitri grits his teeth and clenches his fists.
Wanting nothing more than to strike at her right where she stands. "I along with my father won't be the only one that suffers because of your death which is the main reason for all of this" He tells her, spatting the words out of him in anger as he walks away. Being around that girl exhausts him to the limit. More than it should, and he finds himself unable to, though she was correct, and they do need her alive. However, first they need to deal with the pest that has come to take away their victory.
Isolde is left there alone with a creature on her arm which Dimitri had not seen, but she had found that it does comfort hr and make her feel safe and perhaps even calms her down, even more than she should be. That can also be because of the blood-loss which she is confident that she is experiencing and standing on her feet should not be what she should be doing. Yet, Isolde had never been the one to listen, so she stands there, bleeding, and yet she cannot feel any pain. Not even knowing that the only reason for that is because the man that deeply cares for her has taken her pain away.
While the Princess stands there by a tree, Poseidon fights Hunter. Trees are broken by their movements and how they throw each other everywhere. Their movement can resemble the angriest dance that has ever been danced before and the two of them are mortal enemies, though neither of them is mortal. And neither one of them is about to give up and will fight to their deaths. Yet, only one of them has something to protect and that makes his anger and his determination even stronger while the other one fights for revenge which makes his fury worse.
Hunter does not carry any weapon on him and only relays on his own body strength but also his size as he is larger than Poseidon himself, though his skin can get hurt while Poseidon cannot be harmed. It was only some hours ago that he felt the first pain that he has ever felt before which he took from the girl that would have been suffering the same thing if he had not done this. Poseidon is a creature that the world needs to have in order to live and one might say he is life itself.
Without water there is no life. However, Poseidon carries a weapon which he can easily carry on him at all times and he does so by having this necklace around his neck. Where it is always hidden behind his attire and clothing, but he can always bring it forth. His weapon of choice is always his Trident which can be used in many ways and as many weapons at once and that does help him much in a situation where he cannot use his magic or like in this case his magic is limited.
Poseidon's Trident. His weapon he holds in his hands and uses it to fight the large beast in front of him. The beast that h himself created, which now he only holds hatred for and vice verse. "You should have never entered my castle and stole what belongs to me!" Poseidon speaks. The spiked pitchfork like weapon stabs and cuts the Minotaur in the hand where the royal blue blood begins to leak from the cut itself. This does not bother Hunter nor does he look like he felt it. Only laughs with his so cold and cruel laugh.
His Trident is made out of this golden material but inside it there is a core which carries the same magic as Poseidon himself and only works for him, it cannot be destroyed because of this, and it does do well in battle. Sometimes he can swear that it has a mind of its own and often would move in his favor. Never has he shared those thoughts to anyone for in battle one needs to gain the upper hand by ever means necessary and even withhold information such as this which does work for him for this small battle he can easily win.
The Trident is shaped like a pitchfork with the middle spike a bit longer than the other two. That spike is also thicker and in the middle carries a large blue glowing stone which is also magic yet not the same as the core holds. The stone is shaped like a circle yet if one were to study it they would see that it has a slight oval shape to it but not too much. Each one of the spikes has this arrowhead shaped edge which is with no doubt sharper than any arrowhead that has ever been made.
Hunter lunges at him and uses his own fists to punch the King, though as he is taller and bigger his movements are predictable and slower. "I am surprised how little you know after all the centuries of teaching you" Poseidon speaks. His eyes narrow at the creature in front of him which once he had believed was one of his allies, and they do have a history together, one that ended in tragedy and still to this day does affect the two of them, mostly for anger. Poseidon cuts him once again, this time much deeper on the torso.
The Minotaur only growls at him with such anger. The events that led him to this anger still as present as ever and the King being here and taunting him does not help at all. Yet, finally he is getting the wish that he has always wanted. A change to kill the King, and he shall succeed. "The only thing you ever taught was how to hate and that is all directed at you" Hunter speaks, managing to speak after the King has taunted him. The two of them circle one another and every, so often they would attack.
"You always had a habit of throwing the blame on me when it was you whom you should be angry about. It was after all you that caused all the disaster, was it not?" Poseidon asks him with a smirk. He watches Hunter form his eyes with an interesting look and despite them battling he does smirk. Of course the King has already plotted a plan which he is about to put into action, all he has to do is wait for the right moment for him to be ale to do so.
Hunter does not answer but lands a blow on the King where he does not move from his spot. Poseidon can only smirk when the blow is landed on him, yet his feet carry him. The force alone would be able to send a human flying back a long way but the blow would have been so strong that they would have already been dead before they even flew backwards. Yet, this King does not even seem faced by this, but he just chuckles. Hunter does not seem shocked by this but is glad that he was able to land a single blow on him, even when it does not do much.
Deposit Poseidon feeling the pain that Isolde should be feeling, he does not let that show, and he is stronger than he should be. The forest itself is doing all it can to throw him away and push him out, but he is much stronger and now that he has removed some water and the magic he will need to hurry for it will not take long for that magic to gather itself and throw him away. If there is one thing that magic is then it is determined when it wants to be.
Magic is one of the most unstable things in the world and in truth it does not serve anyone, but it acts on its own, it chooses whom it wants to be able to control itself and that is not just anyone. Only a select few. Now it is favoring Isolde for the creature on her arm which she has found comfort in is a creature that is pure magic. It is a creature that is healing her and keeping her alive. But, magic like this always costs something and that is her sight.
Only temporary. Yet, as Isolde stands there she has decided that she has had enough of not being able to do anything, and she uses her hands to walk around and know where she is going. She can feel how much she is bleeding and knows she should be dead by now. Unknown to the creature on her arm is keeping her alive and making sure that she does not die from blood-loss. As she walks she begins to feel things around her, the earth she can feel pull her stronger, and it does not pull her down but pull her towards life.
Not caring much for the battle she walks the other way and deeper into the forest. Meanwhile, Hunter and Poseidon continue to fight one another. Poseidon has managed to cut him a couple of more times but each just a flesh wound for he's waiting for his play which he's ready for, yet he did not plan for what was about to take place next. "You are the fool that cannot see what is in front of you. One day you will see that I am only helping you. Since you are incapable of ruling the ocean. You cannot even beat me... father" Hunter speaks.
