Selena awoke in the hospital wing to her professors whispering among themselves. "What have we done, Albus? We've been allowing a frightened girl who's been abused at home to be bullied here," Minerva fretted.

"I know, Minerva. I know. We're all to blame.  I shouldn't have been prejudiced against Slytherin, it wasn't even her fault. We've all been punishing her for things that she had nothing to do with. This is your fault as much as it is mine." Albus explained,  then he turned and noticed the raven haired beauty in the bed has finally woken up. "Ah! You're finally awake, Selena!"

The other professors who were talking to Albus also took notice of Selena. "Selena! Thank goodness you're finally awake! I thought you weren't going to wake up for a good long while," Madame Pomfrey explained checking vitals.

Selena was confused. How did she get to the Hospital Wing? "How did I get here?" she asked. "The last thing I remember was fainting in Chris's arms and then, lights out."

As soon as she said that, everyone started snickering.  "After you fainted, Chris brought you here. He would leave your side for 3 days until we forced him to get some food and rest. Before he left, he kissed you on the cheek!" Ponoma squealed. Right then and there, Selena's face exploded in a hot blush.

Later after Selena was discharged,  she headed down to the Great Hall for lunch. Right when she was about to start filing her plate, someone called her name. "Selena!" Chris called from the Gryffindor table. Selena turned around and gave him a warm smile before turning back to her plate.

Chris's P.O.V:

OMG! OMG! Selena just smiled at me! "Lils, did Selena just smile at me?" I asked Lily. "Yes, she did. Did you know that she's had the hots for you since first year?" Lily replied. At that moment, I felt my cheeks heat up in shock. Selena feels the same way for me as I do for her? "I can't believe it. Martin told me that when we were babies, our parents betrothed us," I explained to Lily. She was shocked but was happy.

P.O.V off

A few hours before dinner, Selena was taking a small walk by the lake, not knowing that the school was following her. It was a waxing gibbous moon, and there were fireflies blinking over the lake.

Selena felt so at peace that she sang a song that her mother used to sing for her whenever she felt frustrated.

The whole school was in shock of her singing voice. Even the Marauders were in awe. Then, they heard her sing another song in a language that they didn't recognize.

"I hope that Chris reciprocates my love for him. Ever since our eyes met, I knew he was the one for me. He's brave, kind, sweet, loyal as a lion, and handsome. But after all,  the whole school says that I'm a greasy dungeon bat who deserves to die. Why would he want to go out with me?" Selena asked herself shedding a few tears.

Lily briefly glared at the Marauders, who had the audacity to look ashamed and guilty.

Then, Chris walked up to her and said,  "I thought that you didn't share my exact same feelings. Why did you think I wouldn't?"

"You're the most popular boy in school, younger brother to the heirs of the Most Ancient and Most Noble House of Kratt! And I'm just the sole heir of the Prince family, one of the Sacred 28. Why would you want to be with a greasy dungeon bat like me, Chris?" Selena asked, looking up at him while crying.

Chris cupped her face and told her, "I love you for you,  Selena Eileen Snape-Prince. Don't let the rest of the school tell you otherwise. You're not a greasy dungeon bat,  you're a kind and loving person.  Don't worry about the other students. You still have me and Lily."

Selena didn't believe him, so he sang a song to cheer her up.

With that final note sung, they kissed under the moonlight. When they pulled apart,  Chris asked, "Selena Prince, daughter of Eileen Prince,  will you do the honor of accompanying me to Hogsmeade?"

Selena blushed and nodded her acceptance of the date.
