Milo's POV

She was lighter than I expected, I picked her up and set her in the back seat. Foxy sat in the front passenger seat her phone still swirling red and blue as if we were the police. The two guys had run away down the alley when we pulled in.

"Milo how did you know she was there?" I got into the drivers seat and fastened my seatbelt watching foxy speaking.

"It was a weird feeling. Like a silent cry for help" That was all I said before pulling back onto the road.

I dropped Foxy back at her dads and was back at my house before eleven. Maddie had stirred in the back a bit. Reaching back I picked her up again. Silently walking up to the door, Amber had popped the door open. On the way home I had called her so that I had an easier way of getting in the house without waking Maddie or mom.

"Thank you Amber" I kissed her forehead gently then kicked off my shoes.

She signed welcome before walking away back to bed in her silly cartoon whale pajamas.

I made my way up the stairs hoping not to wake her. My dad, mom, Amber and I lived in our giant 3-story house. I made my way to the stairs to the second floor and headed towards my room.

Amber ran up the stairs and opened my door, moving the covers on my bed. I laid Maddie down before Amber poked me in the rib.

"What?!" I whispered yelled at her.

"You can't change her get out" She whispered slowly.

Groaning I moved out of my room and waited for Amber to get me. It took Amber a few minutes before she finally came back out.

"Just stay next to her" her eyes shot warning stares. "Don't get any ideas"

Chuckling I went back in my room to find Maddie curled up in my covers.

"Gosh, I couldn't even get this close to seeing you at school today." I chuckled again. "Everything is going to be ok Maddie"

I pulled a chair next to my bed laying my head on the end of it the covers.

Maddie's POV

"Everything is going to be ok Maddie" I heard those words on repeat in my head.

I grumbled with slights of lights hit my eye. Sitting up my eyes fluttered, pain shooting in my head and body. This room was different then my room. The clothes I was dressed in weren't even mine. I looked at the end of the bed and saw Milo.

"Milo?" I looked at him strangely. "Hey Milo were am I?"

He was sleeping peacefully his long arms wrapped as a pillow under his head.

Looking at the clock it was a little past noon. Crawling down the giant bed I shook Milo's shoulder. He groaned and rubbed his eyes before staring at me.

"Maddie your awake" He smiled a bit. "How are you feeling?"

"Where am I? How did I end up in your... room?" I spoke quickly looking around.

"Maddie you have to look at me when you talk" His soft voice was firm. "I can't hear you or read your lips when you talk like that"

"What do you mean?" I looked at him a little flabbergasted.

"I'm deaf Maddie"
