Maddie's POV

It has been a couple days since I've seen my family. Milo and Amber were currently out shopping when Mrs. Spare walked in smiling.

"Hi Maddie" She sat across me and looked out at the window.

"Hello Mrs. Spare" I tried to sound happy but it showed I wasn't.

"Sweet heart I think were past formalities" she laughed and hugged me, gosh knowing I needed one. "You can call me Dena or whatever makes you comfortable"

"Thank you Dena" I smiled into her shoulder and hugged her back.

When we split apart we both sat on the window seat looking out.

"My husband and I would love it if you had a room of your own here. Gabriel thinks our son and maybe our future daughter-in-law shouldn't be sharing a room this early" she pinched my cheek.

"That would be great but I think I should just worry about going home soon"

Amber's POV

When we came home mom was cooking, so the house smelt like something was burning.

"Mom?" Milo walked in looking at her. "Amber can you interpret"

I nodded and looked at him.

"She left to go home, I'm afraid I chased her away" I was shocked as I signed.

"What! Why?!" He raised his voice.

"I told her she could have a room here and she packed up and left. She got into a car with your friend Fait-"

"Foxy" he interrupted.

"Foxy" Mom put her hand by her sides and threw the pan into the sink.

"I called Foxy because she wanted to stay there with her mom" I explained. "She said she needed some girl time that wasn't here and Foxy said of course"

"Oh" mom smiled big. "That's good"

I turned and Milo was gone.

Foxy's POV (ha ha didn't forget about her)

I sat watching a movie with Maddie, sitting on the couch with two huge jars of icecream and pizza on the counter. Amber had told me that Maddie was having it rough since her family issues erupted.

"Is it really ok if I stay here for a while?" she looked over at me.

"Any friend of Milo's is a friend of mine"

A couple of frantic knocks sounded through the house.

"I got it" I got up to be trampled by Milo as he came in the house.

"Maddie god I was so worried about you" he sat by her exhausted, so I'm assuming he ran all the way here.

While they talked I started a couple cups of tea before the phone rang.

"Hello this is Foxy speaking on behalf of the Xender family"

"Is my sister there" a man's voice came across rough and scared.

"Who is this?" I held the phone closer to my ear.

"My name is Storm Anderson, I'm Maddie's brother. She the real medic of our family and one of the brothers have been shot. Is she at your house Foxy!" He was frantic and I guess when family has been shot anyone would be.

"Yes she's here. Bring him here and I have all the medical supplies she will need, my mom was a nurse"

"What's going on?" Maddie came in and tilted her head.

"It's your brother. He's been shot"

"Which brother"

"Chad" Storm said over the phone.

"Chad" I said aloud.
