“Luna…Sebastian…” Ayesha muttered while tears streamed down her face “I didn't see Vincent with you…” Sebastian said blankly as he looked at Ayesha
“I'm sorry..” Ayesha said, her voice trembling as more and more tears streamed down her face

“You can go now Ayesha, Get some rest” Luna said dismissively as she held a cigarette between her lips, Ayesha bit her lower lip feeling quite sad and angered that her Oldest siblings doesn't seem to care for their younger siblings, yet she couldn't say anything but nod and get out of the room

Once Ayesha got out of the office, Luna chuckled bitterly “How cruel…” Luna muttered as she sighs, she wiped the tears that were threatening to fall down her face. “You're free to cry, i won't mind” Sebastian said stoically, he looks like he doesn't care but his fist is curled up and trembling “Why did it have to be him…” Sebastian muttered, his voice trembled a bit as he tried to compose himself and tried not to cry

“So…your older siblings don't care for you?” Ariadne asked with a raised eyebrow “yeah, well, only Luna and Sebastian, Henry mostly kept to himself” Vincent said with a shrug as he took a bite out of the Apple that they pick out from a tree

“Wait, So…Ayesha is your twin, and Henry is the middle while Luna is the older sister and Sebastian is the oldest?” Ariadne said with uncertainty as she ate her Apple, “Yeah…me and Ayesha are close while Luna and Sebastian are mostly seen together, so i guess they're close” Vincent said with a nod

“We are siblings but all of us are not that close, whenever there's a family dinner, Henry is nowhere to be seen, he is mostly at his room, playing video games and stuff” Vincent explained before taking another bite of his Apple

Ariadne blinked in confusion, both of them found a small house with an Apple tree next to it, there's around a dozen Apples on the tree so they didn't waste any time to eat some, they're now in the house, resting and talking

“But I thought siblings are supposed to care for each other? I mean, I'm sorry but I'm an only child” Ariadne said apologetically as she looked at Vincent
“It's not the same for us, Henry is currently 22 years old and Luna is 27 while Sebastian is 28, the age gap is way too far to reach so we aren't that close, i mean i barely see Sebastian and Luna when i was a child, and even if i did, they would just ignore me and walk off” Vincent said with a small pout

“What about your parents? Are you close with your parents?” Ariadne asked, for some reason, she wanted to know about Vincent's parents, “Yeah, they're fine, I guess? We only see them every dinner though, and since the apocalypse started, we haven't seen them” Vincent explained as he took another bite of the Apple

“They travel a lot, when the apocalypse started, They were in City A, we lost communication with them after a few hours when the Apocalypse hit” Vincent said with a small pout “Where were you when the apocalypse started?” Ariadne asked in confusion and curiosity

“Oh, me and Ayesha were dismissed very early since our last professor didn't come, so we got home pretty early even before the apocalypse started” Vincent said with a smile “Now, since i told you about myself, what about you?” Vincent asked with a smile

“Oh? Me? Well…i don't know my parents, my grandma took care of me and i think I'm an only child” Ariadne said nonchalantly with a shrug
“Wait wait wait, how do you not know your parents? Didn't your grandma tell you about them or something?” Vincent asked confusedly as he scooted over to Ariadne

“My parents left me at my grandma's doorstep, which means, my grandma isn't my biological grandma, but she's really nice so i consider us related” Ariadne said with a shrug

“Man, you're an only child, must be nice eh?” Vincent said with a smug smirk “Yeah, less mouth to feed” Ariadne said before taking a bite out of her Apple, Vincent raised an eyebrow at her statement, and Ariadne noticed his confusion

“What? I'm poor, worse than average, i have no such thing as presence” Ariadne said with a small frown “Uh…oh? Really? I thought you're rich or something” Vincent said with a slight tilt of his head “I don't know, maybe because you look a bit like Mom, i just thought you're rich” Vincent said apologetically

“That's why there's a saying 'Don't judge a book by it's cover' but no worries, i also judge everyone, nobody's perfect” Ariadne said stoically before finishing her Apple “You might want to…uh…slow down on the Apples” Ariadne said in a deadpan tone as she pointed at the apples that are near Vincent “I only ate like three, give me a break” Vincent said with a pout as he held another apple in his hand

“We might not eat for the next few days” Ariadne pointed out with a deadpan face, that statement alone made Vincent put the Apple back and he obediently complied with Ariadne's command “Yes ma'am, no more Apples” Vincent said with a smile

“...Does your Mom have any siblings?” Ariadne asks, she felt the need to ask the question, she's wondering why “Yeah, Mom has 4 other siblings, i never met her twin though, but i met her other siblings, My uncles aren't the best of the best people but they're tolerable” Vincent said with a shrug as he smiled a bit

“You have a pretty big family” Ariadne said bluntly which made Vincent laugh and nod in agreement “Yeah, i do” Vincent said with a bright smile, seeing Vincent smile so brightly made Ariadne feel slightly jealous

“...you said your uncles aren't the best people but they're tolerable? What does that mean?” Ariadne asked wanting to know more about Vincent's quite happy family “Well, My first Uncle is cold and only focused on the company while my second Uncle is in jail for murder then my 3rd and last Uncle is a manwhore” Vincent said with a disappointed tone

“Jail? Manwhore? Really?” Ariadne said with a raised eyebrow, not believing what he just said “Yeah, My second Uncle killed someone, that's why he's in jail, and my last uncle literally slept with my elementary teacher” Vincent said with a pout and the annoyance in his tone can be heard

Ariadne chuckled a bit when she heard what Vincent said “No, seriously! When we were in elementary school, we had this Parents and teacher conference. Since our parents aren't available and no one is available, my third uncle attended our Parents and teacher conference, then I just heard out of nowhere that he slept with my Elementary teacher!”

Ariadne chuckled in amusement “If your teacher willingly slept with him then he must be good-looking” Ariadne said with a small smile, hearing Vincent talking about his family seems to brighten her mood up, even though she feels a bit jealous, she can't deny that it made her happy…maybe because she's been all alone since the apocalypse started

“Good-looking? Yeah right” Vincent said sarcastically, “When you said you haven't met your mom's twin? What happened?” Ariadne asked, feeling really curious about the topic

“Oh? Yeah, mom's twin is like the favorite child of the family, Mom, Grandpa and Uncles always talked about her and honor her, especially Mom since they're twins of course, i don't really know what happened since they don't like to talk about it but Horace said that she made the biggest sacrifice of all, that's why we're rich” Vincent explained with a smile on his face

“Now, who's Horace? You have a lot of family members…” Ariadne said in amusement “Horace is our Butler, he's my Grandpa and Great uncle's childhood friend, so he's like a family” Vincent said proudly with a bright smile

“I'm…jealous” Ariadne unconsciously said as she blankly stared at Vincent, Vincent's eyes widened in shock “Pardon?” Vincent said in confusion as he looked at Ariadne
“You have a lot of family members, even though you aren't that close with everyone, it….sounds amazing that you have a family” Ariadne said stoically but the jealousy and bitterness can be heard in her voice

Vincent's eyes widened in surprise, he chuckled and shook his head “Maybe? Maybe not?....but yes, it's amazing to hear that you have a family, so don't worry, when we go back to City Z's base, I'll beg my parents to adopt you” Vincent said confidently with a bright smile

It hasn't been that long since Vincent knew Ariadne but the girl really did grow on him. The girl is blank and stoic most of the time, but she cares for him silently in her own way.

Hearing what Vincent said made Ariadne surprise “No…it's okay, it'll be a while before everything returns back to normal” Ariadne said with a small smile, “I do hope that everything goes back to normal” Ariadne added as she looked at Vincent
