Being with Ben has thought me a lot of things. Love is not perfect. Relationships are not perfect and they are never going to be.

I have learnt about forgiveness, commitment and patience.

Love is patient. Love is kind. It is never jealous. Love is never boastful or conceited. It is never rude or selfish. It does not take offense and is not resentful. Love takes no pleasure in other people’s sins, but delights in the truth. It is always ready to excuse, to trust, to hope, and to endure whatever comes.

The day I fell in love will probably be the best day of my life or the worst. Just like Ben will probably be the best thing to ever happen to me or the worst.

Ben and I are still together. We have been together for three years now. I have no idea what the future holds for us. All I know is that I love him and I’m willing to give my all.

He is not perfect neither am I but I have come to realize that his imperfections fit perfectly with mine.

I used to believe in the one but not anymore. Still, if such a thing as the one existed, I would definitely want my ‘the one’ to be Ben.

Linda and I are cool and I hold no grudges.
