Emergency OP

The hospital was crowded with patients. All the doctors and nurses walking here and there trying their best to treat the patients.

Arjun was trying his best to calm the emergency OT. Suddenly, there was a patient entered into emergency ward.

Her condition seemed critical. He performed CPR to save the patient. Her ECG reports were abnormal. He gave her emergency treatment until the patient vitals stabilized. He sent the patient for further investigations.

Some time later, rush in OP had been decreased. He was in his cabin going through the reports of the patient.

After seeing the patients report, he asked the nurse to call Niha urgently. Nurse went and called Niha. Niha hurriedly entered the OP.

" What happened, Arjun? Why did you call me suddenly?" Niha questioned Arjun.

"Look at these reports," Arjun said forwarding the reports to her.

" Why? Is something serious?" Niha asked worriedly.

" Go through it, Niha."

Niha studied the case. Her expressions changed reading it. The case was similar to the previous cases in Sudha hospital. Niha wanted to know the reason behind their illness but couldn't find it.

The patient presented with arrhythmias of unknown origin.

" What's is this, Arjun? New patient added in the list. That means similar patients were there in this hospital too."

" No, Niha. I checked other patients. She is the only one admitted here with this problem. In addition to it, she is pregnant."

" Have you asked her about the previous history?"

" She is not telling anything, Niha. I tried to ask her."

" What shall we do now,Arjun?"

" You tell me, Niha."

" I didn't want to proceed further with previous cases. But, seeing the patient count increasing I wanted to know the reason behind it."

" Ok. I am with you. Let's do this."

" It's very risky,Arjun. Why are you getting involved?"

" Because I wanted to," Arjun shrugged his shoulders.

" Fine. First, let's make sure we won't lose the patient."

" What does that mean,Niha?"

" Let's change her problem of admitting her into the hospital with another reason. So, our management doesn't know about it."

" Why to maintain secret?"

" You have seen what happened to last two cases. They took them away telling they are providing special facilities. They erased their records. We can't risk this patient. Change the consultant doctor from yours name to mine."

" Why? I already told you I am with you, Niha. Don't you believe me?"

" I believe you, Arjun. I don't want you to take risk."

" Stop talking like that. You are making me feel like I am an unknown person to you."

" No, Arjun."

Both of them hi fied and said let's do this together.

They changed the patient's details and entered the cause of patient as another. Later, they continued their works.

Evening
At Sanjay's house

Niha told Varun to pack luggage as they are going to her in-laws house. She was excited to meet them. She went to her room and started packing her luggage.

She thought of packing Sanjay's luggage too. She went to his cupboard and started gathering his shirts for packing luggage.

She was selecting some shirts standing infront of his cupboard. She took some shirts and turned back to place them in his luggage bag.

She turned and bumped into Sanjay who was looking at Niha.

" What are you doing here?" Niha asked gaining her balance.

" What will I do in my room? Am I not allowed here?"

" It's not like that."

" Then what? Are you missing me that much that you are holding my shirts?"

" No, you're thinking too much of yourself. I am packing your luggage," Niha said rolling her eyes.

Sanjay pulled her closure to him placing his hands on her waist. Niha left the clothes in her hands.

" Jai, What are you doing?"

" What am I doing, Niha?", Sanjay asked innocently.

" Stop it. Leave me, jai. It's getting late. We need to go,"  Niha asked trying to free herself.

"It can wait, Niha. I will leave you only when you answer my question. What do you say?"

" Tell me what is it? I will think about it."

" Why did you marry me? Why did you agree to marry me immediately when I asked you?"

" Why did you get that doubt now?"

" I wanted to ask you several times but didn't get time to ask you. Tell me, now."

" Oh really! You tell me why did you marry me. You wanted to tell me the reason, right. Tell me, now."

" Question for a question. Trying to act smart, huh. Impressive."

" Not more than you, Jai."

" You have a smart mouth, baby. I want to shut it right now. What will you say?"

" No, thanks."

Sanjay left Niha immediately after he heard Varun calling her.

" I am coming, Varun," Niha said and pushed Sanjay and went outside the room.

Niha went outside followed by Sanjay. Varun stood there with his luggage.

While seeing Niha, Varun asked, " When are we leaving?"

Sanjay replied," Now."

" Fine. Shall we go?", Varun asked.

" Sure," Sanjay replied.

At Sanjay's parents house

By the time Sanjay, Niha and Varun reached the house, the people in the house seated to have lunch. Naina, Krishna, Viraj, Karthik and Ananya were present.

Viraj was stunned to see Varun here. Same goes with Varun too. But, Varun managed by placing blank expression.

Looking at Sanjay, Niha and Varun, Naina told Sanjay and Niha to keep the luggages in Sanjay's room and asked Varun to share room with Karthik and then come back to have dinner.

Sanjay and Niha went to one room whereas Varun took another empty room. Varun was thinking about Viraj. Why was he here? What was he doing? What if he knows about Niha? Varun wanted to make sure that Niha won't talk with him.

Varun kept the luggage in Karthik's room and reached dining room. By that time, Niha and Sanjay were seated. Niha was talking with Naina as Niha missed her a lot.

Varun also noticed that Niha was glaring at Viraj. He thought why was she behaving like that? Did she know him beforehand?

Viraj was asking Ananya to eat properly as she was playing with food.

" I am eating fine, uncle," Ananya groaned looking at her over caring uncle.

Niha was looking at them, lovingly. She doesn't know how father care would be like. If that will be like this, she too wanted to experience it. God doesn't give everything to everyone. Niha is not an exception from it.

Sanjay was talking with Karthik. By seeing Varun, Sanjay gestured him to sit beside him. Varun followed his gesture and sat beside him.

" Who is this?", Viraj asked pointing towards Varun.
" He is Niha's brother, " Krishna answered.

" Are you her own brother?", Viraj asked.

" Then who he will be? Ofcourse my brother," Niha said.

Viraj was looking at Niha and Varun with questioning eyes.Sanjay understood where the topic is heading to end.

He diverted the topic by telling Naina, " I missed the food, mother. It's so nice, mainly aloo fry."

" You could have eaten daily if you stay here. Whatever you finally opened your eyes and listened to your mother's words," Krishna said to his son.

" It doesn't matter to you. It's between my mother and me. There is no need of other's involvement," Sanjay stood up from the dining table.

Karthik pulled his to sit. But Sanjay didn't paid attention to him.

" Leave me, Karthik. You won't like the consequences if you stop me," Sanjay warned.

" What can you do more than this? Warning the people around you," Krishna said.

Sanjay pulled his hand harshly which Karthik was holding and left the place.

The dining hall was filled with silence until Naina interrupted.

" Why can't you keep quiet? He didn't even eat dinner. He left before he completed his food," Naina scolded Krishna.

" Nothing will happen to him. If he is hungry, he will come and eat," Krishna said.

Niha didn't know what to talk. She was worried what Sanjay was doing. Is he alright? What was he doing?

" I am full. Food is very nice, mom. You're the best," Niha stood from the dining table and went to find Sanjay.

Karthik and Varun also left from there soon after Niha left.

" He is like this because of your pampering, Naina. Niha was added to that list now. This is the reason why he is not listening to my words," Krishna scolded Naina.

" It's not my fault. Your son inherited those genes from you. That is the reason why he is behaving like that," Naina replied to Krishna.

Niha went to their room where Sanjay was standing and looking outside the window. He was thinking deeply that he didn't even notice Niha coming towards him.

She placed her hand on his shoulder. He immediately turned around and saw Niha with worried face. He pulled her closer and placed his lips over hers.

It was different from before. Niha felt as if it was demanding. He is pouring all his emotions. Niha stood there allowing him to kiss her.

He pushed her back. Niha stumbled at his sudden movement but gained her composure quickly.

" What happened, Jai?"

" Nothing. Let's sleep."

Niha knows that he won't share anything with her if he don't want to. So, she kept quiet.

Next day
At Sanjay's office

Sanjay was going through the file when Vinodh entered into his office.

" Long time, no see bro," Sanjay said to Vinodh.

" Yes, you were busy with your newly wed life. What can I do?"

" Don't aggravate much. Tell me what is the reason behind your sudden presence?" Sanjay questioned. Vinodh sat infront of Sanjay on the chair.

" The work you asked me to do is quite difficult. They are not transferring the land onto our name."

" Why? Is the money not enough?"

" He doesn't want money."

" Then I have no option left. I thought of not using Niha but situation is looking other wise. Will the property of him goes to Niha as she is the daughter of him?"

" Chances are there but not sure about it. Most times, the properties owned by father goes to son."

" Both the sons are not related to hospital. How will they tackle if they don't have experience? Niha belongs to medical background. So, she can look after the site well right. By using this, can't we get the site under her name?"

" We can. But, Will her father agree to give it to her daughter?"

" He will. He should. Atleast for the forgiveness from his daughter, he will do this. He did a mistake unknowingly. If Niha knows about her father, I am sure she can't take it easily. She won't accept him."

" It's blood relation dude. Even it is tough, atlast she will accept her father."

" If blood relation is that strong, me and my father would have bonded days back. But that didn't happen. Same goes in her situation too."

" All people are not same. Who knows she happily accepts her father?"

" I won't allow it. I want that hospital no matter what."

" Why are you so persistent on getting that site? You can't even use the hospital present at that site."

Sanjay smiled hearing Vinodh's words and said,
" Personal reasons dude."

" Whatever you say. Fine. I will take leave. I will try to talk with him once more."

" Be sure my name won't come out," Sanjay warned Vinodh.

Vinodh nodded his head and left Sanjay's cabin.

Sanjay leaned back on his chair and thought to himself, " Wait for the ultimate twist in your life, my dear wife. Though it's difficult to digest, it's the truth. You will know about it soon. Your father will regret for doing this to you, Niha. Though I know the truth, I didn't tell you. I know it's wrong from my side. What can I do? I fear for what happens once you know the truth. If you know my real intention, Will you stay with me? Even you don't want, you have no chance other than accepting me. I will make sure it happens. It's the fate.But, I will make sure no one hurts you."
