Sanjay asked Niha to show her room.
Niha gasped and said," Why my room out of all rooms?"

" Why is there something you are hiding from me?"Sanjay questioned.

"N..Nothing. I won't let anyone in my room. So, just stay here," Niha tried to tell him.

Sanjay being himself didn't listen to Niha's words and started walking towards her room.

" Hey, stop!", Niha protested when Sanjay moved towards her room.

Sanjay entered Niha's room.
"So this is what your room looks like. Why is it full of books?", Sanjay questioned looking around Niha room's wardrobe.

" That's how a doctor room would be, mister," Niha said with a proud evident in her voice.

Sanjay noticed Niha's expressions.
" I totally forgot that my wife is a doctor," Sanjay said pulling Niha towards him playfully.

Niha glared at him but changed her expression when she noticed Sanjay looking at a pictures of Niha and Moukti hanged on the wall.

" Why are the pictures include only two of you?", Sanjay asked.
" What do you mean by that?" Niha asked frowning.

" I mean... Nothing. Just leave it," Sanjay said.
" You wanted to ask why Arjun is not present," Niha said trying hard to control her laugh. Now it's Sanjay's time to look at Niha.

" Look at there," Niha said pointing at the photos at corner which Sanjay didn't see. Sanjay looked towards them.

His expression changed from playfulness to seriousness when he saw her pictures with Arjun.
" Why there are no pictures of us?", Sanjay asked.

Niha scowled at him," When did you allow me to come to my room? It's the first time I am coming after our marriage. By the way Mr. Sanjay for your kind information, we don't have pictures together."

" Come let's take then," Sanjay pulled Niha by her waist and took his phone and took a selfie of both of them.

All the events were happening in blur to Niha as she couldn't process what was happening. She was snapped back when Sanjay left her.

Sanjay was looking at Niha's racks full of books. He stopped his eyes at certain books.

"As far as I know, you are a doctor. Then why there are business management books in your room?", Sanjay queried Niha.

Niha's eyes widened at his question.
" Why does it matter to you which books I have in my room," Niha asked folding her hands around her chest.

She immediately unfolded her hands when she followed Sanjay's gaze.
" Pervert," Niha mumbled.

Sanjay smirked at her and said, " I wanted to know. So, tell me."

"You are acting like a stubborn ass. Do you know that?"

"I love being like that," Sanjay said and continued,
" Last time I am asking you baby."

" It's my brother's. He kept in my room," Niha said playing with her fingers.

" You want me to believe that," Sanjay replied not believing her words.

He was about to pick those books when he saw some other books behind them. Niha tried to stop him but he held her.

He picked then and started flipping the pages. He stopped at certain pages.
" I never thought my wifey would be this wild," Sanjay winked at her.

Niha then saw her novel book in his hand.
" Give it back,Sanjay, " Niha said trying to grab the book from his hand.

Sanjay held the book with one hand above his head. Niha being some what shorter than Sanjay couldn't reach his hand.

" Not so easy, baby. It seems like it is R-rated," Sanjay burst out into laughter.

Niha wanted to scream out loud at him for making fun of her.
" Just give it back to me, Sanjay. Or else, " Niha was cut off by Sanjay.

" What will you do? Will you show me the practical? How a single person can show? Let me help you," Sanjay asked Niha holding her with their faces merely an inch gap.

Niha eyes held horror.
" Someone is becoming Naughty," Sanjay said playfully.

" Leave me,Sanjay,"Niha said.
" Why,baby? Don't you want the practicals?", Sanjay asked while kissing her neck.

" Stop it,"Niha said.
Sanjay didn't listen to her and continued what he was doing.

Sanjay left Niha when he heard Varun's voice saying he was ready.

Niha took it as a chance and slided out of the room. Sanjay walked behind her.

Niha stopped in her track when she saw Varun. Sanjay stood back to her.

" What are you both doing?", Varun asked smiling mischievously.

"Nothing Varun... ," before she could complete Sanjay said," I am asking why there were many books in her room."

" She is bibliophile," Varun replied.
" I know. Mostly R-rated books," Sanjay whispered the last part in Niha's ear making her shiver.

Niha stomped on his feet.

" What was that for?", Sanjay asked limping.
" For irritating me," Niha said and walked out.

" She is angry bird sometimes, Sanjay. Be careful, " Varun said.

" I know," Sanjay replied.

They got into the car and reached Sanjay's house. Varun took Niha's previous room. Time flew by. Niha and Sanjay went into their room feeling tired. Both of them drifted into asleep after sometime.

Night- 12.30 am

Niha felt someone shaking her. She was in deep sleep at that time.
" Don't disturb me. Go away."

" Your phone is ringing, idiot. Who is the person to call you at midnight? Just pick your damn phone," Sanjay said in his sleppy voice.

" Answer it,Sanjay. Let me sleep," Niha said placing the pillow on her ear.

" It's near the nightstand beside you,Niha. If you don't answer it, I will break your phone into pieces."

Niha extended her hand to reach the night stand where she kept her phone. She picked the call without looking at the called ID.

She placed it on her ear.
" Hello," Niha said in her sleepy voice.

" Mam, there is an emergency in the hospital. Please come," The person said in hurry.

" Why? What happened? I think there will be duty doctor. Just call them."

" I am calling them but no one is answering. It's emergency mam. Please, come mam."

" Who is the doctor on duty?"

" It's Ananya mam. Come quickly, mam. We are unable to control the patient's vital,mam."

" Ok. I will be in 15 minutes. Until then, perform emergency treatment, " Niha cut the call.

Niha sat on the bed and turned towards Sanjay and started waking him up.

" Sanjay, get up. It's an emergency. I need to go. Drop me at the hospital," Niha said shaking Sanjay on his shoulder.

" What happened?", Sanjay asked getting up.

"I will tell you on the way. Be quick. Get ready and drop me at the hospital."

" Ok."

Sanjay dropped her at the hospital.
" Sanjay, go to home. I will come after the work is completed."

Niha ran into the hospital without giving a glance at him.

Inspite of that,Sanjay didn't leave her. He waited outside the emergency ward watching her through the glass door.

Inside the emergency ward

When Niha arrived inside the nurse who called her came to her.

" Mam, you came. There is the patient," Nurse said pointing towards the bed.

Niha reached there and nurse started explaining what happened.

" He was 45 year old patient with myocardial infarction and he is  on medication. Today evening, he was diagnosed with bacterial infection. Ananya mam precribed him medicines."

" Tell me names of those medicines," Niha said.

Nurse showed her the patient's prescription. Niha understood it was due to the drug interactions happened in his body.

" Ok. I get it. Leave it to me," Niha replied.

After one hour, Niha got back the patient to normal. She started to leave. At the door, she found Sanjay still present waiting for her.

" I told you to go home. Why did you stay here?", Niha questioned.

" How will you reach home?" Sanjay questioned her.

" By taxi."

" What is time, now?"

" Ok, I give up. Thanks for waiting."

Sanjay clenched his fist and released them.
" Don't ever say thanks to me. Do you understand, " Sanjay said in a low voice.

Niha's voice was lost at her sight. She nodded her head. Both went to their house.

Next day
At the hospital
5th flood
In the head of hospitals cabin

Vardhan entered inside head's cabin. The room was the best one among the hospital.
Vardhan looked around and thought privilege of having own hospital.

There was name plate placed on his table with letters embedded CHIEF AND HEAD OF THE HOSPITAL- VIRAJ.

Viraj sat on his chair facing Vardhan. He asked Vardhan to take his seat

" Why are you here, Vardhan?"

" Sir, I need to tell you something. " Vardhan stammered.

" I am hearing Vardhan. Tell me."

" It's about your niece, Ananya." Viraj was controlling himself from his outburst. He didn't allow anyone to talk badly about Ananya but Vardhan came to complain about her.

Ananya may be Viraj's niece but for him she was more.  He raised her with utmost care after Viraj's sister and brother-in-law's death in an accident happened ten years ago. Ananya stays at Viraj's house from then onwards.

" What about her?"
"Yesterday, she put the patient life in the risk. She put him on the wrong medication. This made his condition serious. Yesterday, it was her shift was she was not present," Vardhan explained the situation to Viraj.

" How is the patient now?", Viraj questioned him.
" He is fine, sir. Another doctor came at correct time and saved him."

" Then, what's there to worry?", Viraj asked.
" I would suggest you to ask Ananya before leaving. So that we can arrange another doctor for her shift in her absence."

" Remember you are talking to chief, Vardhan. Mind your tone. What is the name of doctor who treated the patient?", Viraj questioned Vardhan.

" Niharika, sir," Vardhan said with terrified tone.
" Make sure the matter doesn't go out," Viraj warned Vardhan.

After one hour

Vardhan came to Viraj's cabin again.
" What now, Vardhan?"

" Patient's family members are making yesterday night's situation as an issue, sir."

" Why the patient is declared as safe, right?"

" Yes, sir. But the are questioning how we can be careless," Vardhan said.

Viraj was in his thoughts thinking what to do as his niece was involved in the issue. It's their repetition issue.

Just then Ananya barged into his cabin. Vardhan was looking at her. She ignored Vardhan and turned towards Viraj.

" What have you gotten into, Ananya?" Viraj said.
" I didn't mean to do that, uncle. I was just stressed with the work."

" Why were you not there at the hospital during your shift, Ananya?", Viraj asked trying to maintain his cool.

" I..I went out. Let me get out of this mess, uncle."
" Let me think, Ananya. "

Ananya looked at Vardhan and said," Change the consulting doctor name from Ananya to the patient who treated the patient. "

Vardhan was horrified at the situation. He tried to tell Viraj he was wrong.
" Sir...but.."

" No, buts Vardhan. Just do as I say."

Vardhan doesn't have the courage to speak against Viraj though he knew it was wrong to put complete blame on Niha. Despite saving the patient, she need to face the consequences.

Vardhan nodded his head and left Viraj's cabin.
