chapter=12 Party scene 1(edited)
When you have a good heart, you give too much, trust too much, and help too much, and it appears that you are always the one who suffers the most.
Perhaps life is not about avoiding bruises, but rather about collecting scars to prove we showed up for it.
They judged you? Simply remember Allah and your experiences, and do not worry about what others may think.
Zainab:
I entered my room when I ran away from him I locked it I touched my hand where he touched it and scrubbed it I washed it since it wasn't right all memories flooded back when Zahid he was still someone who didn't know me he touched me and that brought a lot of painful memories which I had buried them deep down and thrown the key away.
I detest it when a guy touches me, especially if he is completely new to me. I know that even though he kept me from falling, his touch reminded me of my past, so please Allah, please assist me.
I understand that sometimes, no matter how hard you try to avoid something, it will always resurface in some way, but you have to move on.
Uncle Chef brought me food, and while I was sleeping, I discovered the clothes we were supposed to wear to the party the next day.
Parties are something I detest. Zahid wanted me to be there, but as usual, I will defy his orders so he backs off because we are two opposites here and I do not think opposites like us will ever attract. I have never been to one and am happy that my evil aunt told me and the other maids to leave by 10 p.m. after announcements.

I dressed up the gown, which ended just below my ankles. This was my first time wearing a gown, but I refuse to take off my niqab because it was required that all maids wear it.
It was almost time for us to be given the day off today, so I looked in the mirror, put on my specs, and covered my face with a niqab so that only my eyes were visible. I was just hoping everything went smoothly.
Thank God, it was not too tight when I checked myself. It was a long-sleeved, black gown adorned with stones.
I thought they did not wear long-sleeved, but I am glad someone knew that we maids did. I grabbed my slippers. Particularly in busy areas, I detest wearing heels. I locked my door and went outside to go to the mansion. As soon as I left my room, a cool wind blew, which made me shiver because I did not like the cold. I hurried towards the mansion while also taking in the impressive sight of the parking lot—so many fancy cars—and wondered how many people were there. Yes, please assist me, Allah.
Since I had no idea where we were supposed to be, I walked in slowly and looked around. Nobody even thanked us for the decorations—one mistake and they will remember it forever.
When I saw Uncle Chef, he waved at me and gave me a thumbs up, which I took as a compliment. I grinned and shook my head.
In one section, everyone was dressed in suits and had an evil aunt and uncle who were giggling and conversing.
In another area, kids were actually talking to each other, touching arms. Eww, is not that against the rules, which is why I did not enjoy parties? I wandered over to the other side and eventually spotted my fellow maids; I hurried over to chat with them in the corner.
The calm, grumpy uncle asked, "May I have your attention please?" I wondered when he had become so courteous—all show off.
All eyes turned to the small stage we had decorated, and as I looked around, I noticed that only one flashlight was flickering on my uncle.
"It is a great honor to have you all here, and this party is held to celebrate my son returning home after five years," he said, beaming, as Zahid went to embrace him. I glanced in all directions, avoiding the stage, and noticed Rehmat waving to her brother and her evil aunt, who was grinning from top to bottom.
"I have a small announcement to make: my son will take over our company and become the next CEO. I hope everyone will cooperate with him and help us achieve even more success in the same way we have been shining," he concluded, handing over the microphone to his son.
"Son, do you have anything more to say?" He questioned his son Since we were next to speakers and there was gentle background music playing, all I could hear was loud voices.
"Yes, dad, first and foremost, thank you so much, everyone; I hope we will support one another and take the company to the next level, fulfilling dad's dream," his deep smooth and calm voice was heard, but I was nervous all of a sudden, my throat was dry, and my hands sweating; I knew he was up to something because I declined his gift and fled when he told me he knew me.
I was scared to glance up. I could sense that there were eyes looking at me.
What will he say now? I am glad his son had his back to us because, as he was giving his dad a hug and his dad handed him a microphone, I suddenly wanted to turn away even though it was not even ten of the clock at night.
"Dad, since I am the new CEO, do not you think I have the right to choose my new assistant since the old one has retired?" he said calmly, as if this was nothing new to him... new assistant?
Everyone agreed, and I just shook my head. Aunt's face was confused.
"Have you got anyone in mind?" His father inquired, and everyone waited for his response, including me, given how curious I am.
