One of his hands cupped my cheek forcing me to look in his eyes, the other pushed back hair from my face. We were still on the couch, facing each other.

Our faces were very close, close enough to make my heart race and flutter at the same time. I was nervous but I won't say that I don't want this to happen. I've never done any of this before..

I was thinking about all this but all my thoughts went silent when I felt his soft lips on mine, moving smoothly and slowly as his fingers traced my spine and grabbed my waist.

The butterflies from my stomach reached my chest, my heart was racing, not because of nervousness but because of excitement. One of my hands gripped his hair and the other one rested on his shoulder. I could feel my lips burn, my breath turned into a gasp and my heart was still pounding.

This position was a little uncomfortable so I went on top of him, never breaking the kiss.

"What the-"Josh was staring at us with his jaw dropped and Nicole was as stunned as him.

Oh, it's not what it seems like. I jerked away from Ryder and sat back on the couch because of the embarrassment.

"I left you both for like half an hour." Nicole smirked and Josh couldn't stop grinning either.

"It's not what it seems like.." I scolded both of them while my cheeks burned with embarrassment.

"Josh!" Ryder glared at Josh. "Why are you both here anyway? Don't you have some video games to play Josh? And you were supposed to watch a movie, Nicole" Ryder looked at them.

"Also, I know what would have been going on in that room." Ryder smirked.

"Don't turn this at us, nothing was going on there for one and for two we were the ones who found you guys makin' out." Josh laughed.

"Okay Josh enough!" Nicole chuckled.

"I have to go to my room. Be right back." I had to leave this embarrassing situation. I have never been this embarrassed before. I quickly got up to make my way upstairs.

"I have my bag in your room should I come too?" Nicole asked, never stopping her smile.

"Sure." I replied as I made my way upstairs.

"Woah, you have to give me all the details." She jumped because of excitement.

"It seems like you're the one who has been kissed. Geez, you can't stop smiling." I pointed at her face.

"Well, you couldn't either, your face was a mixture of anger that couldn't overpower the smile mixed with embarrassment." She giggled.

"Whatever." I blushed.

"I'll tell it to you and Claire later." I assured her.

"Can't wait!" she chirped.

"Oh by the way! I think I've lost my earring, it was a family heirloom and it's very important. Can you help me find it? I think it's on your terrace." She blabbered on without taking a breath.

"Wait, what the hell were you doing on the terrace?" I crossed my arms as I asked her.

"I-" she paused, "I needed some fresh air after fighting with Josh." She explained.

"Oh, I understand." I rubbed her shoulder, "I know you two will make things work out." I gave her a kind smile.

"We worked them out. Now it's fine." She gave me a sly smile.

"Let's go now." She turned around.

"Hey, what about your bag?" I asked.

"I didn't want any bag, I didn't bring one. I just wanted details." She winked and grinned.

I looked down as I tried to hide that smile that came on my face after recalling the details myself.

"Oh and we are going out to eat, so dress up." She told me.

"Can't we stay in and order?" I pouted.

"Stop being a baby, it's a good place." She replied. "You'll like some change." She continued

"But, let's find your earrings first." I insisted because I didn't want to go out.

"After you get ready" she smiled.

"Okay" I groaned.

She went out of my room and I shut the door to get ready. I wore light blue high waist jeans and a tie white crop top with long flowy sleeves. Since we were just going out to eat I wore my white sneakers. I decided to leave my hair open.

I came out of the room to go downstairs, I reached the living room and no one was visible. Where are they?

"Hey! Everyone is in the car, let's get the earrings and go." I heard Nicole behind me.

"Oh okay, we'll have to make it fast though." I replied and she nodded.

We went to the back of the house and used the stairs to climb up. We had a rooftop patio, a flat roof in plain words.

It had a lot of plants because my grandma loves gardening. She and grandpa had to run some errands today, so they weren't home.

"Let me switch on the lights." I said.'

"No wait." Nicole stopped me.

"I'll do it.." she continued.

"You wouldn't know where the switches are."

"I know." she replied. "Stay here." She continued.

"How did you-" I was about to ask her but she was headed somewhere already.

All of a sudden the dark place was illuminated by the fairy lights that were placed on the floor. They were arranged in a specific way. When I noticed it was arranged to make the word 'PROM' with a '?' question mark.

All lights lit up after that. There was a camera in Nicole's hand and she was filming everything. All of sudden a song started to play.

There were four speakers placed at all the corners and Ryan stood there adjusting the volume of one speaker in the corner. Josh stepped aside and stood with Claire.

 Then, Ryder came in front of me with a bouquet of flowers and a handsome smile on his face.

Oh my God, how many times will he melt my heart like this? He's the best. I looked at him with total awe.

"Katelyn." He smiled. God, I swear I didn't even put an effort to hide the smile on my face. He always makes me feel this way. His smile is enough to make me reach cloud nine.

He held my hand, "Will you go to prom with me?" He asked.

I nodded and hugged him, "Yes, a thousand times yes!" some happy tears escaped my eyes. Oh he's the best! I kissed him and it felt like the first time, I took him by surprise by this time.

Ryan took the bouquet from his hand. Now his hands were wrapped around my waist and mine were wrapped around his neck. His lips were on mine and mine on his moving softly and slowly, savoring the moment. The same butterfly effect was there, I could feel the blood rush to my cheeks and my whole body was on fire.

"Whoo!" Everyone started whooping, whistling and clapping. Kind of cheering.

We stopped kissing but his hands were still on my waist and mine were on his neck. Our foreheads were touching now.

"I took you by surprise didn't I?" I teased him with a playful smile.

"I didn't quite understand the surprise, I think you'll have to do that again." He smirked.

"Make me." I smirked back.

He looked at me with an amused face. "Oh, I will." He chuckled and kissed my neck.

"No, don't. People are around." I backed away but that smile didn't go away.

"You liked it didn't you?" He whispered as he smirked.

"I did." I replied.

"You're getting very playful these days." He smiled.

"But, you liked it didn't you?" I imitated him.

He chuckled "I did."
