I heard the doorbell ring, it was half an hour already! I went to the front door and opened it to find Claire and Nicole standing outside.

"Come on in!" I smiled and gave both of them side hugs.

I led the way upstairs to my room.

"So, before we start with anything, we have to tell you something..." Nicole started.

"Well, I pulled some strings in the prom committee and nominated you for prom queen." Claire interrupted with a big grin.

"What!" I was surprised, I mean I'm just an average student who doesn't run with the popular people and stuff. Yes, I have friends but I'm not the girl who would contest for prom queen.

"Yeah and I second that motion." Nicole smiled.

"Well, it's okay if you have nominated me but you guys should get ready to be disappointed because I'm not one of those girls who's interested in these contests." I laughed.

"Hey, don't underestimate yourself!" Claire pouted.

"Also, from juniors to seniors everyone knows you now. You got a hell lot of popularity because of that Aubrey drama and I think at this rate you might end up winning." Nicole smirked.

"It's time for Aubrey to get a taste of defeat." Claire laughed and we both joined her in.

"Yeah, we'll see. But don't expect too much from me."

"You know why we signed you up for it?" Nicole asked.

"uh-why?" I shrugged.

"To boost your confidence!"

"Yes!" Claire exclaimed. "So stop underestimating yourself and let's get you ready for your date." Claire looked at me as she finished.

"Okay." I turned to make my way to the closet.

"Oh, by the way, where is he taking you?" Nicole asked.

"To get coffee." I replied.

"Okay, so, don't wear something fancy. Choose something cute and casual." Claire suggested.

"And most importantly it should be comfortable." Nicole added.

"Okay." I smiled. These two are so good to me, I'm so glad and lucky to have them!

I picked out a couple of outfits and showed them to Claire and Nicole.

Just as I was showing them I got a text from Ryder which said that he had planned a few more things as well. Oh, I texted him okay and that I'm looking forward to meeting him.

What would've he planned though?

"I think this one is good." Claire picked the outfit which had a sweetheart neckline, navy-blue color full sleeves crop top and it was paired with a black high waisted jeans.

"You can wear it anywhere you know. From a coffee to an amusement park." she added and smiled.

"Yeah, this one's great!" Nicole beamed.

"Okay I'll change into it then." I took the outfit and went to the bathroom.

"Ta da!" I came into the room wearing that outfit as I did a little twirl.

"You look great." Nicole beamed and Claire clapped while she grinned.

"But, guys.. What footwear should I wear? Sneakers?" I asked.

"No! Never say that. Sneakers are too casual for a date." Claire exclaimed.

"So what should I wear?" I furrowed my brows.

"Well, you can wear black ankle boots." Claire recommended.

"But bro, it's summer." Nicole raised her eyebrow.

"It's always a good time to wear boots, it's not mandatory to wear them only in winter!" Claire said if it was an obvious fact.

"Okay then." I looked for my ankle boots and luckily I had the black ones. I quickly wore them and showed them the final look.

"Perfect, now we just have to loose curl your hair and you'll be good to go!" Claire beamed.

Claire took the curling iron from my dressing table and asked me to sit. She started to curl my hair.

"Well, just so you know we signed Ryder for prom king too. So hope that this date goes well for both of you!" Claire laughed and Nicole joined her too.

"You guys are fast!" I chuckled.

"Hell yes we are!" Nicole giggled.

"By the way, do you guys mind if I ask you something?"

"Not at all!" They both replied at the same time.

"Okay so, I know it might be awkward or uncomfortable but.. Has Ryder actually moved on from Aubrey?" I have been overthinking about this a lot, so I had to.

"Yeah, it's been like almost two months since their "break up". So I'd say yes." Nicole replied and Claire nodded.

"So, we all know that Aubrey can act like a jerk but Ryder on the other hand is so.. sweet. So, how did they.. date?" I asked, I've been wanting to know this for so long now.

"Well, I really don't know how they met or anything like that. Also, Ryder doesn't speak much about her, you see." Nicole shrugged.

"But I guess he was much more serious about Aubrey than she was about him. Like I don't know how to frame it, you can say that he was "concerned about her." Claire added to the conversation.

"But you have nothing to worry about, once he's done, he's done." Nicole gave me a kind and assuring smile.

"I know, he's a nice guy but something doesn't feel right about him and Aubrey going out." I said in a low voice.

"Okay your hair is done and I know it doesn't sound right but I guess we'll never know. I mean he hasn't told us much about it." Claire replied.

"Okay." I looked at the curls, they looked good on me.

"Is there something else you want to know?" Claire asked.

"No, I guess I'll find other stuff out on our date." I smiled.

"Great!" Nicole added.

"Oh, it's almost time." Claire beamed.

We talked for like ten more minutes about the senior week that would start after graduation. They also told me about two guys who would take them to prom, they were Josh and Ryan. They told me that Ryder set the four of them up. Ryan was taking Claire and Josh was taking Nicole to prom.

We decided that we would go shopping before Thursday. As we were discussing all this I got a call from Ryder.

"Guys, hold up!" I exclaimed and they both got quiet.

"Hey, I've sent you a location. Will be waiting there for you" He said

"Okay, I'll be there in half an hour." I replied

"Okay, see you then" he hung up

"He has sent me a location, I have to meet up there." I told Claire and Nicole.

"Where is it?" Nicole asked.

I opened my phone, "It's an arcade at the nearby mall." I informed them.

"Okay, we can drop you off there and pick you up after for the details." Claire smiled.

"Okay, then!" I smiled.

They both dropped off at the mall.
