"So you're telling me that YOU-" I pointed to Aspen infront of me, "Are Aspen the WOLF pup?"

"Mhm! That's exactly what I'm saying. I was gonna tell you about this earlier but I decided you had enough on your plate for the time being.."

"Th- that's actully really nice of you.."

Aspen just kinda shrugged. I sighed and patted him on the head.

"We should probably head home, Elizabeth and Dawn are worried."

"Oh! Right, yeah let's do that."

Aspen scratched the back of his head and we began walking in the direction of the house.

"So can you only change from a wolf to a human or..?"

"Oh! No, I can change between human, wolf, raven, and cat."

"Oh cool! Do you think you could teach me how to fly-"

"You don't already? Arnt you like, 14?"

I sighed as my wings dragged through a Fern, and I shook my head no. Aspen chuckled and agreed to teach me soon, and we continued walking in silence.

The silence wasent comforting, just leaving me with rembering why I can't fly still. I glanced at my nails, now long and sharp insted of what "claws" I had back then. I shuddered, my wings tightening against my back.

Aspens voice brought me back out of my thoughts and hazy memories. I hadn't realized it, but my tail was lashing back in forth anxiously.

"S-sorry I zoned out."

He put a hand on my shoulder and I tensed, and then relaxed once I remeberd it was him. I glanced at him greatfuly and we continued walk to the house. He made small talk to keep me busy, and I smiled at the small gesture of kindness.

《 TIME SKIP 》

I walked through the door and Dawn hugged me. I was stunned for a moment but eventually hugged her back.

"Did you find Aspen?"

I walked further into the house to let Aspen in as I nodded a quick yes. I saw Aspen wave at Dawn and Elizabeth.

"Who the fuck are you..?"

I chuckled and pet Aspen on the head as he explained. Elizabeth and Dawn were amazed, to say the least.

"So we've been living with a demon for what.. a month?

Dawn was still stunned, and Aspen nodded yes. Once Dawn was broken out of his trance, she went and sat on the couch. Me, Aspen, and Elizabeth followed. I sat down by Dawn and Elizabeth sat in my lap. Aspen changed to his cat form and sat curled up on Dawn.

Aspen immediately fell asleep and I checked the time.

Huh, 9:53. I was outside for a long time..

I leaned into Dawn and we all fell asleep.

《 TIME SKIP 》

I blinked open my eyes to the morning sun rising and shinning through the windows, bird song could be faintly heared as well. I looked around, seeing as I was on the couch with Dawn and Elizabeth.

They were still asleep, so I carefully scooted away from them and off the couch. I heared footsteps and my ears swivled to hear better.

"Yawn.. mornin' Dusk!"

A tired yet cheery voice greeted me and I turned to face Aspen.

"Oh! Morning Aspen. How are you?"

"I'm alright, despite being as tired as can be. How about you?"

I replied with almost the same sentence and ended the conversation by telling Aspen I had to take a shower and walked off to me and Elizabeth's room.

I turned to the closet pulling out a black hoodie, and navy blue basketball shorts.i grabbed everything else I needed to shower and walked to the bathroom.

I closed and locked the door behind me. I hung my clothes on a wire that's behind the door and stripped of my old clothes. I stared down at the battered bandages wrapped along my arm. I tried to shake off the feeling of hopelessness and took off the wraps and set them on the sink.

I turned on the shower and got it to the perfect temperature. I sighed lightly and stepped into the shower and closed the curtain behind me.

The pain didn't set in untill then. The burning sensation washed across my arms and slowly flowed to my chest like open flames licking at flesh, leaving bloodied, open wounds in its path.

I hissed in discomfort and pain. I made the mistake of looking down at my arms and my body in general. The blood was flowing and mixing with the water, creating dark red trails along my body. I put my hand on the wall to steady myself as a sudden wave of dizziness crept over me.

The cold tile reminded me to much of back then. Back when I was helpless. Back when my wings were bound and my claws were nothing but bleeding stubs. He would cut them till they bled, just to insure I couldn't leave.

The memories made the dizziness worse and my arms strength faltered a moment to long, and I tumbled and fell, hitting my head against the hard ground. I crawled out of the shower and curled into a ball. I felt the walls closing in, I could hear his voice. It was gargled and unillegible, but I knew it was him.

The garbled mess of words filled my head, pulling me deeper and deeper into the void. My eyes were searching frantically for something sharp. I grabbed a hold of the old towel that had been thrown on the floor to keep people from slipping and picked at it. I picked at it, tore peices off, clawed at loose threads, all doing my best to keep myself distracted.

I overran the jumbled words with nothing but describing the texture of the towel, trying my hardest to come out on top of the panic.

As the room went back to normal, the dizziness stopped, and the words faded, I shakily stood up, dabbed blood off of my body with toilet paper and threw it out. I winced slightly as I stepped in the shower once more, this time panic did not grip every atom in my body, but insted stayed away.

I began my shower for real, thinking of people I thought were nice, like Dawn, Aspen, and Elizabeth. Mainly Dawn though. (Yeah we get it ur a simp) The distraction worked and my shower then continued without problem.
