Chapter 5.1; The Seasons awakening; A Journey to the Tree of Life
Surrounded by a forest where the seasons all meet, spring, summer, autumn and winter unites here under the palace of Mother Earth herself. The palace was beautiful gleaming with its pure crystal like walls and gleamed like the northern lights that danced across the skies. Inside the palace sitting on a tree truck throne was none other than She herself, Mother Earth. Her elderly appearance seemed to glow with youth and her dress was long and flowing, bringing out her pure and reigning essence. A snow leopard's call echoed through the halls of the palace as Mother Earth opened her eyes.
She could hear the flapping leathery wings of a dragon as well as its roar. Soon following the dragon's roar a horse's whinny was heard from about a mile away and its hooves beated upon the ground with pride. Though cunning and quick and sneaky was this fox's running, Mother Earth could still hear it coming from the same direction as the horse.
She stood up smiling and raised her hand and the doors before her opened slowly and once they were fully opened, four people stood before the doors. One of the gentlemen was strong and muscular with semi-long blonde hair and the clearest blue eyes that could make any girl melt at just the sight of them. His essence gave off courage, strength, nobility almost godly like.
One of the women was like a pure jewel onto the eyes of the beholder. Certainly the most fairest of them all. Her long white hair was as white as snow and her skin was even more whiter than the brightest albino but it seemed to fit her as it added to her beauty. Her deep brown eyes showed much kindness and love within them, one look and anyone can fall in love with her. At the sight of her, one could already feel the strongest light of hope anyone could give, she would be the light when all other lights go out in the darkest of ages.
The second women had fairly beautiful light shade of tanned skin, her ginger head was of a bright fiery red almost like a fox's fur coat. Her eyes gleamed a bright blue but gave of a foxy spark within them. She almost seemed to have the appearance of a nymph or a pixie almost with her innocent face that gave off much mischief and trickery. But she also gave a warming essence almost like an older sister that comforts you whenever you feel sad or feel alone, she is there to your side in a heartbeat.
And the last man was probably the most handsome man anyone could ever lay eyes upon. Beautiful pale skin that seemed to glow like the snow, his long blonde white hair seemed to glow in the bright light, his whole body and entire being looked to have been carved by angels and gods themselves, his bright blue eyes almost appeared cat like but were the purest and most beautiful shade of blue on any person, one thing that stood out from him than the others were his ears.
They were pointed.
His appearance also held something that the others didn't, his eyes showed many years even centuries of wisdom, loyalty and nobility.
The four walked up to Mother Earth and they all lined up before her in a horizontal line and kneeled down before her like she was a Queen. Mother Earth looked down at them and walked towards them smiling softly. She walked up to the muscular man and said in her soothing and elderly voice that held much authority but also gentleness and wisdom.
"Welcome home Draco, My Summer dragon. Chosen emperor of all Dragons of Summer, youngest of the four of my animal guardians, though you carry much courage, strength and bravery. And I'm proud to call you my Summer's fire" Draco lifted his head and kissed Mother Earth's hand and bowed again and said.
"Mother, I'm glad to be home at last after 600 years" Mother Earth smiled at him and stroked his cheek softly.
She then stood before the white haired woman and said to her.
"Mirana, My proud white Horse. Your kind and good heart and the power to grant a Person's wish if they are purest of heart has given you to be my second child and my first daughter. Your bravery and courage also made your name stand even higher up than that of all the Horse Lords of the land, you the proud Goddess of all of them. And I am honored to see you return home safe and sound my daughter." Mirana looked up at her mother and stood up before Mother Earth and they both hugged each other softly and Mirana said in her soft soothing voice.
"It's good to be home Mother, I'm glad you are feeling better" Mother Earth softly smiled at her and stroked her cheek softly and they both curtsied towards each other.
Mother Earth then moved on to the second female and continued.
"My proud little fox Aubrey, the third of my children and second daughter of mine. You have proven yourself to be a little trickster but you give hope to everyone. The power of your nine tails reflect different sides of you, but with each individual tail you have one common thing, your kindness and loyalty towards your friends and family." Aubrey lifted her head and stood up and hugged Mother Earth tightly and softly smiled. Mother stumbled but she hugged her rebellious, mischief but caring ginger headed daughter. They separated and Aubrey said.
"I've missed you so much Mother, you wouldn't believe the horrible things the humans tried to do to me while I was watching over my new masters"
"They probably got tired of your tricks and thievery just like we do sometimes" Draco muttered to himself and softly chuckled. Mirana slapped the dragon's head harshly and muttered angrily.
"Do not speak of her like that!" Draco only scowled at the Horse then a voice cleared their throat and they looked to their right and saw the other male softly glaring at them for their immaturity. They bowed their heads back down in shame at the other man's stare their eyes casted down onto the ground.
"I understand the predicament that you went through, but I also do recall a certain young dragon who nearly killed his new master without discreet, reason nor judgment" Mother Earth said as she placed a comforting hand on Aubrey's shoulder and turned to Draco. Draco's eyes showed sorrow and regret as he clenched his fist. Aubrey nodded and curtsied at Mother Earth and kneeled back down towards her. Finally she came upon the second male and smiled softly and lifted up his chin and said with true love and respect in her voice.
"And my first born, through almost 5000 years since your kind has walked among the world, your kind was close with me and treated me with care and love, and I am proud to call you my first son. You carry wisdom that is beyond your years, and you remain loyal and true to each of your companions. You have helped given courage and strength to your sisters and brother and I am happy to see you finally return home safely. My first born Elven Snow Leopard. Prince Legolas Greenleaf". Legolas looked at his mother and bowed his head and placed his hand over his heart and said softly with his voice sounding like velvet to one's ears.
"I am honored to be back home Mother". Legolas and Mother Earth looks at each other then Legolas stood up and they both hugged each other tightly. Legolas separated from her as the other three now all stood up and Mother Earth said to them.
"After 700 years of searching for your masters and the chosen four seasonal spirits, we finally found the last piece to the Seasonal Guardians. Now with their training and protection provided by you four, these 8 chosen will help us finally put an end to Pitch Black and his wife Ravenna once and for all". The four animals looked at each other then Aubrey stated.
"Yes, but we still are a little worried about this Mother, these people come from different realms, different time periods and different statuses, how will they ever hope to work together when their time difference has forbidden them to associate and get along with each other".
Draco nodded and said.
"The Vikings were a brutal race who never cared for anyone but themselves and their families, and the Vast clan was no exception, I have my doubts that my new masters will be able to work along with these other Seasons, especially the Winter ones". Legolas narrowed his eyes at Draco for insulting his new masters but deep down he knew it was true.
"If anyone is to worry it should be my masters. They were once rulers, a Queen and an Princess, though strategized to handle wars and battles, I doubt they will ever actually participate it. And I have fear for the young Princess's heart. She still has a lot of learning to do".
"But she passed your test of good judgment did she not?" Legolas questioned but Mirana said.
"Yes but I still sensed some small degree of greed within her, even when she was struck with the plague, all she could think about as she fell to her death was her mother. Not of the consequences that her people would face without a ruler sitting on the throne. Shortly after her death, their kingdom was destroyed and overruled, it now belongs to the King of London and its name has been long forgotten ever since her death, her aunt and servant Johanna had died of broken hearts over her death and could not help the sister kingdom." Aubrey looked down sadly and said to everyone solemnly.
"No it's mine, these women have been through a lot, they may not be quite so easily to trust others. Their entire village betrayed them and burned them at the stake. A fate that no other besides Ravenna has faced, they may not even trust me at first, because it was my fault being there that condemned them to that horrible fate." Mirana walked over to Aubrey and placed a comforting hand on her friend's shoulder and stroked her head softly.
"It wasn't your fault Aubrey, you did not send them to that fate, it was destined that their lives would end like that, and soon years after that, they had condemned hundreds upon hundreds of innocent people of the same fate through the Salem Witch trails, remember?" She told her softly as she continued to comfort her younger Autumn sister. Aubrey nodded and said.
"I can still remember seeing those innocent people screaming and begging for mercy, I hear their voices screaming as they were being burned or killed by boulders and everything. I just wanted to save all of them from that fate but I..... I just couldn't do it!" Aubrey sobbed into her hand and choked on her sobs.
Legolas and Draco walked up towards their Autumn sister and they each hugged her comfortingly knowing how she had to deal with one of the most darkest days in early history. They knew Aubrey had once been raised by kind humans through out the years and one of them just happened to be one of the victims in the Salem Witch trails, she was condemned and Aubrey watched in horror and shock as she saw the humans all gathered around at the creek and watch her be forced down into the water by a strong blacksmith and see her never get up from the water.
After Aubrey's mental breakdown and she had calmed down, Legolas finally stated to them.
"I think the most difficult to get along with would be my new masters. They only treat kindness towards each other, anyone who would even dare to hurt the other, they would lash out like a ravaged wolf towards the person who caused the other pain. They only associate with each other and are closely bonded together, getting them to separate is never an easy thing to do. Plus with their mischief and tricks, they'll easily make the other Guardians mad, I know their entire village never liked it whenever they got into their pranking moods."
Mother Earth looked down solemnly and said to her four young animal guardians.
"I understand your doubts and concerns whether these four families will work together, but whether they like it or not, they will work together and with you four helping them, and they will become the Seasons Guardians". They all looked at their Mother and bowed their heads and all said in unison.
"Yes Mother".
Mother Earth then explained to them that they were now in their own Seasonal homes right now and now it was time each of them brought their Masters here but do not under any circumstances show them their true forms just yet. They need to be able to trust them first before they show who they truly are, because she knows the back ground stories between Draco's and Legolas' masters and them. Once they received their orders, they immediately took off in their true forms to their homelands to retrieve their Masters and bring them before Mother Earth.
"May the Man in Moon unite these people together and help us bring peace to the children of the world". Mother Earth prayed softly as she watched her children run back home to bring their new Masters before her so that she could explain to them their story.
The first to awaken would be the first Season to start the cycle of Seasons.
The Spring Faes.
In a peaceful Spring meadow, Mary slowly fluttered her eyes open to see the open meadow all around her. She slowly stood up and looked down and noticed a clear crystal lake right beside her and she slowly crawled up towards it and looked down at her reflection and was shocked to see what she looked like.
Her black hair that had always been pinned up in a bun was now down past her chest and her hair was in slight wavy curls like the gentle breach of the ocean's waves hitting the shore. Her eyes were glistened with light spring colors of light green and pink, her lips were red as a rose. On top of her hair and within her hair lied a circlet of Forget-Me-Nots. She stared at herself in awe at her new self when she remembered Emma she quickly turned back and forth calling out her name when she spotted a young fawn bending down sniffing a body that was now laying face down. Mary gasped and quickly ran up towards the fawn but as she got closer the fawn looked up at her in alert with its ears perked up and eyes directed right at her. Mary stopped and froze right in her spot but the young fawn did not retreat or show any fear before her.
The fawn just slowly backed up and bowed its head at Mary as if bowing in respect like she once remembered in a dream of hers. Mary curtsied out of respect even though she found it quite weird but she did it anyways. She then knelt down onto the green grass and gently turned the body over and saw that it was her daughter Emma.
She was much like her in new appearance but around her hair weaved and folded in were white blossoms. She gently shook her daughter awake softly calling her name until finally she began stirring on her mother's arms. Emma's eyes fluttered open and her eyes appeared more brownish than usual like the bark on the trees. She looked up confused at first but then muttered quietly.
"Mother?"
"Oh Emma, thank goodness you're alright" she said relieved. Emma slowly sat up and looked around and said.
"What happened? Where are we?" Mary looked around and answered softly as she looked around as well.
"I don't know Emma, I honestly don't know, but stay close. Who knows what could be lurking around here in this forest. Remember what I once told you, every rose has its thorns, every beauty hides its dangers so be cautious and stay close to me." They stood up and went ahead and walked around the Spring Meadow.
As they walked around the meadow, there were animals all over the place. The spring birds were awakening and singing their lovely Spring song, squirrels and other small rodents were busying themselves collecting food, the does were giving birth to new young fawns and taking them along for small walks, the mother bears were coming out of hibernation with 2-3 cubs following behind them.
As they walked all the animals seem to look right towards them and bow to them as they walked. Emma looked and saw them bowing as they passed by and some even started to follow behind and she asked her mother.
"Why are they following us?" Mary looked around and took notice of them and shrugged her shoulders and said.
"I don't really know Emma, I really don't know"
"They are following you because they look up to you as the royal Spring faes" a soft and warm voice said. Mary and Emma stopped and froze frightendly. Mary pulled her daughter close and soon coming around the trees was the most beautiful woman they had ever seen.
It was Mirana.
Mary and Emma stared in awe at the sight of this woman before them. Mary gently pushed Emma behind her and she said to the strange woman before her.
"Who are you?" Mirana softly smiled and chuckled then she said to her in her warm voice.
"Your questions will soon be answered Queen Mary Swan, for now I have been ordered to guide you and your daughter to the Tree of Life, there someone can answer your questions." Mary and Emma looked at her then Emma said to her.
"How do we know we can trust you?" Mary gently shushed her daughter for speaking out at the strange woman. Mirana softly chuckled and said.
"I understand that you would think of me as a suspicious character, but I can assure you both, that I'm probably the only one you can trust, now come we must hurry before certain things come find us." Mary and Emma were still skeptical but they followed Mirana through the forest towards the Tree of Life.
Far beyond the Spring Meadows lied the Summer volcanoes where the Dragons reside. Here is where the next Season would awaken, the first to be created but the second one to take place in the Seasonal cycle.
The Raging Summer Flames.
Memphis awoken to dark skies and harsh winds. He slowly sat up and rubbed his head in pain when he felt something burning. He retreated his hand and noticed it was glowing a bright goldish-orange color. He panted softly and looked at himself and noticed that his skin was glowing with that same color then it slowly died down. Memphis then remembered his daughter Carolyn. He turned all over the place crying out her name over and over again.
He then saw a figure laying face down on the ground, a figure with long blonde hair. His eyes widened and he ran as fast as he could towards the figure he knelt down praying to Thor that this wasn't his daughter. He reached out towards her when a commanding voice said.
"I wouldn't try to touch her just yet".
Memphis turned around and saw Draco standing before him. His eyes narrowed as he felt some kind of familiar bind from this man that now stood before him. Memphis glared at him and snarled softly.
"How would you know about this?"
"I cannot say just yet, but there is someone who can, that's why I've come here. But right now her powers are still developing so if you don't want your hands to burn her skin off I suggest you don't touch her yet" Draco said to him. Memphis looked down at his daughter and then down at his hands and whispered frightendly.
"What's happened to me? The last thing I remember was holding my daughter in my arms dying and a dragon burning me alive" he turned to Draco and continued "who are you? Can you at least tell me that?" Draco stared down at his new Master and said.
"Soon, but not now, I'll take both you and your daughter to the palace within the Tree of Life, there someone will explain everything to you" he knelt down beside Memphis and gently picked up Carolynn in his arms and said. "I'm immune to the power of fire, you can say I can bend them as well as lightning, come there is someone who is wanting you dead if they found out you and your daughter have awoken, follow me quickly and quietly try not to use any of your powers just yet."
Memphis was shocked to even process all that this man had said. But he didn't question him. Memphis stood up and quickly followed behind Draco as they left the fiery volcanic landscape into the forest below the volcano.
Opposite of the Summer volcanoes, lied the Forest of eternal Autumn. The third Season would be awoken.
The Autumn's Breeze.
Lying on a pile of leaves with her fiery orange hair lying all over her body was Autumn herself. Her chest softly rose up and down as her eyes softly fluttered and she looked around and saw herself in a golden aurora of gold, orange, red and brown. She gently rose up and looked around to see her surroundings and saw the entire Autumn forest.
Leaves were gently falling from the trees, young animals were storing food for the coming Winter season, and she could hear the sounds of birds chirping and the sounds of a nearby rushing river. She then remembered her daughter Ember and stood up suddenly and started calling out for her name.
She repeatedly called for Ember and looked all over the autumn forest until she finally heard some laughing and rustle of leaves. Autumn quickly ran towards the sound and saw a huge pile of leaves all over the ground and aw them rustling then popping out was Ember and a gopher with a small twig in its mouth.
"Man you are good at this game, I could've sworn I'd find it before you" Ember said as her laughter died down. The gopher squeaked out a laugh then turned its head towards Autumn and bowed its head. Ember looked towards the same direction and saw that it was her mother alive and awake.
"Mom!" She cried out as she popped out of the leaves and rolled down them until she ended up right at her feet. Autumn knelt down softly chuckling then they both embraced each other. Autumn softly sobbed tears of joy that she had finally found her daughter again. They separated and Autumn said.
"Are you okay Ember? You're not hurt are you? Are you...."
"Mom I'm fine, although if you hadn't noticed my hair is now the same as yours now, I'm a ginger and I don't think I like it so much" Ember said jokingly at her last statement. Autumn softly chuckled and said as she stroked her daughter's hair.
"You look beautiful darling, I promise you that" Ember softly smiled and hugged her mother again tightly as her mother did the samething back to her.
After their reunion, they both took a little walk around the forest and Ember asked.
"So where do you think we are?" Autumn looked around and said to her daughter as she held her close.
"I don't know, but don't worry, we'll find our way out of this, hopefully" she muttered the last word. As they walked they could feel that cold feeling that someone was following behind them. Ember turned around and listened for the rustling to come back but it was dead silent. Ember shrugged it aside and ran up to catch up to her mother but she soon heard it again, this time it was coming a little bit closer and faster. Ember turned around and again.
Silence remained.
Autumn stopped and turned to her daughter and said.
"Ember, what is it?"
"Mom, have you ever had that feeling you're being watched?" Ember asked suspiciously then Autumn said.
"Sometimes, why do you ask?" Ember turned back around and said to her.
"I think something's coming towards us, and it's getting closer."
The leaves rustled all over the place and a shadow rushed past them giving them a small shudder of fear. Autumn held her daughter close to her to protect her from whatever it was that was near. Suddenly a mountain lion came out of nowhere roaring and snarling at them. Autumn and Ember shrieked and shook in their spots as the puma circled them eyeing them as if they are small lambs.
The puma bared its fangs as it kept circling them then it leaped right towards them roaring. Ember buried her face into her mother's chest and Autumn held onto Ember tightly but a golden dagger shot out of nowhere and struck the puma right inbetween the eyes.
Autumn opened one eye and saw the now dead puma with a golden embroider dagger impaled between its eyes as did Ember and they both just stood there in shock and fear.
"Woo man that was a close call, I hate it when those cats always do that, Stalking up on someone they should now respect deeply" a voice said from behind them. They quickly turned around and saw a ginger-haired young woman with gleaming mischief blue eyes that were like a fox.
It was Aubrey.
"I know you two are probably shaken up, but I can get you guys some help and protection. I've been ordered to take you two to the Tree of Life to meet someone who can answer your questions that you may have of what you are now becoming." She said as she walked up towards the puma and took back her dagger and put it back in its case that was placed right at her waist. Autumn and Ember just looked at her confused then when they looked down at the puma it blew away as black sand.
They were bamboozled and in shock at the sight of the now dead puma now blowing away as black sand. Before they could ask what was that Aubrey quickly answered.
"It was a Nightmare mountain lion. There will be time to explain later, right now we have to go before more Nightmares come for you two, hurry follow me" Aubrey soon took off running and without no reason or doubt to even question her further, they followed the young fox across the woods towards the Tree of Life.
In the beautiful white landscape of the Winter Mountains. Where they proudly stood tall with snow all over it's peak and ridges. The lake was frozen solid with beautiful ice. Beneath the frozen snow and ice, the last of the Seasons were to be resurrected.
The Winter Legends.
Jack Frost was soon lifted up above the water and his eyes fluttered open softly. The surface of the ice gently broke apart as he was lifted up into the air.
Jack gasped and panted as he was finally free from his icy prison. He was lifted up and he stared up at the full moon that seemed to glow brighter than usual like it was greeting him. Jack was softly set back down and as his feet touched the ice, it froze back up in place. He then looked down at his hands and saw that they were frostbitten blue.
He looked up towards the moon with newborn ocean blue eyes instead of his normal brown ones. He took a small step but slid on the ice. He softly chuckled and stood right up again and walked along the ice as if he were walking on normal solid ground until his foot gently touched a shepherd's staff.
His old Shepherd staff.
He gently touched it with his foot again as it glowed a bright icy blue and when he released it from his touch, it went back to it's normal brown color. Jack knelt down and picked up his staff and it fully turned blue and slightly shook with power. Jack dropped the end of his staff onto the ice and it froze over the ice with a beautiful floral design of ice. He stared at this beautiful sight then looked down at his staff again and softly smiled and decided to try it again.
He got out of the lake and walked over to two tree that stood right next to each other. He pressed the crooked end of his staff on the tree and the floral ice came out from the tree and extended all over the tree. Jack touched the tree with his hands then turned and faced the other tree and did the same thing and that tree became covered in floral frost too.
Jack softly laughed in joy then he ran across the lake testing out this new cool power that he had just claimed. He waved his staff back and forth across the lake as he ran laughing and hollering with joy when a sudden gust of wind came around him and lifted him high up in the sky.
He was lifted higher and higher until he finally came to a stop just to see the whole lake and trees become covered with his floral frosts. He smiled softly but the wind stopped right there. Jack soon came tumbling down screaming and groaning as he fell through the trees, knocking off the snow from the branches until he landed on his stomach on a large branch.
Jack sighed in relief but softly laughed again as he slowly stood up and said to himself.
"Ohhh now that, that was fun." He looked around the snow then looked to his side and felt like he was missing something.
Or someone.
He gasped in realization as he remembered his daughter. What if she doesn't know about what happened? Was she even alright? Thousands of thoughts and worries clouded his mind. He just had to go and find his precious snowflake. When he remembered he could fly with the wind. He called upon it to help him fly but he was still rusty and kept shaking and struggling trying to fly.
He tried to land as he was getting closer to the ground but he twisted on his own two left feet and fell face first into the ground. He stood up and brushed the snow off his clothes and ran all over the forest crying out his daughter's name.
He looked and looked all over the forest and snow but he couldn't find her at all. He sat down against a stone boulder and sighed softly almost giving up hope when he noticed something on the edge of an unfrozen river. He narrowed his eyes to see if he could see the figure more clearer but he had no choice but to run towards the unconscious figure.
Once he got a bit closer, he gasped at who it was that was unconscious against the river.
It was Jackie. His daughter.
Jack prayed to God that she was alright as he raced towards her and knelt down towards her and gently picked her up.
"Jackie? Jackie, can you hear me snowflake?" He whispered quietly as he stroked through her hair. He suddenly took notice that her hair wasn't her normal brown anymore.
It was a blondish white, but under the moonlight it glowed pure white and silver like the snow on the mountains.
Her skin was paler than his and she felt cold to his touch. Even though he himself was cold, she was even colder and was still dropping.
Jackie moaned and softly fluttered her eyes and just like her father, her brown eyes were now blue but a lighter shade. Her eyes reflected from the moon and gleamed a bright blue almost like cat's eyes. She turned and saw a man who looked just like her papa but he had blue eyes instead of brown and pure white hair instead of brown. But yet he still had the same comforting presence that he had as she vaguely remembered.
"Pa-pa?" She stated hoarsely.
"Oh, oh thank God Jackie, you're safe" Jack said in relief. He held onto Jackie tightly but Jackie softly shivered and shuddered. Jack pulled back and said again "sorry, I guess all I'm doing is just making you colder". Jackie shivered and shuddered from the cold and said weakly.
"N-n-n-no it's f-f-f-f-f-fine." Jack gently took off his cloaked cape from his neck and gently wrapped it around Jackie for whatever warmth it could give her and then gently picked her up bridal style and put his staff under his arms and then took off flying as best as he could to find a safe place for her to warm up if she could. With some struggle but still managing to hold his daughter without dropping her, he managed to find a cave.
He landed down on the ground and ran towards the cave and gently set her down. Jackie continued to shiver as she muttered quietly.
"So co-cold......papa".
"Shhh, its alright snowflake, everything's going to be fine, I promise" he gently comforted her as he covered his shepherd's cloak tighter around her but it still didn't do any good. He looked outside and saw snow beginning to fall from the sky rather quickly. Jack looked down worriedly at his daughter. He just had to help her get warm again before she died. He stroked through her hair and gently caressed her cheek when a voice said.
"You worrying over her will cause this entire forest into a great blizzard". Jack looked up and saw a dark figure standing outside the cave. He scooted closer and held his staff outward in protection in case this person was going to take his daughter away from him in her weak and defenseless state.
"Don't be afraid Jack, I'm not here to hurt you or your daughter. I've been sent by someone to help you" the stranger said again. He walked into the cave with something in his arms. He set down a pile of dry wood that he had gathered from the forest, he picked up two of the sticks and got a fire going revealing his face to Jack.
Legolas knelt there beside them through the fire as his eyes stared right at Jackie.
He looked at Jackie and he said softly.
"How long has she been like this?" Jack turned back to his daughter and said softly.
"I don't know, she's been like this ever since I found her lying against the river." Legolas stood up and knelt down beside Jack and looked down at Jackie and gently touched her forehead and tried his best to not retreat his hand.
"Her powers are consuming her life force, it's too powerful for her to handle. We have to get her to the Tree of Life" he said urgently. Jack looked at him and said angrily.
"How do I even know I can trust you?! What if you just lead my daughter and I on until she finally dies?" Legolas turned to him and just stared at him.
"Because I am the only hope you have to get there, someone there can help your daughter and explain why you have been given the power of Winter, so I suggest you calm your emotions down until we reach the Winter Mountains or else we'll be stuck here and your daughter's heart will freeze over and she'll die" Legolas stated calmly but strictly.
Jack stared angrily at him but he had no other choice. The blizzard died down and Legolas picked Jackie up in his arms and soon he and Jack headed out of the cave and left the woods towards the Tree of Life.
