[ORIGINAL CHAPTER]

I sat there as I wiped the tears away from my eyes because I was so overwhelmed with everything that was happening ky life had been thrown upside down. I kept hidden in the forest until I heard the news of my parents funeral so I gathered up my belongings before getting dressed into a black dress and headed to there funeral. I stood there in the distance watching the funeral I couldn't get close because I couldn't be seen in case I was seen by the wrong people. It hurt me that I couldn't say a proper goodbye to my family and that my mother had kept so much from me.

As the funeral ended and everyone began to leave I walked over to there graves looking down to them and I could feel tears forming in my eyes. Before I leant down and placed some flowers I had picked on each of there graves "I'm so sorry I could be there to save you guys" I said wiping the tears from my eyes because I felt guilty. As I stood there I felt a presence behind me so I turned around "can I help you?" I said looking at him confused because I wasn't sure if this was the man who killed my parents and threatened me "not now but you will be" the man said with a British accent which wasn't the man from the phone call before a white flash appeared before my eyes and everything went black.

When I woke up my vision was blurred from the flash but I could see that i wasn't in the graveyard anymore as my vision cleared I saw that I was on a rooftop so I sat up and looked around me too see that I wasn't the only one here I saw the tech millionaire Ray Palmer, Two criminals from Central city that the Flash took down a few years ago called Mick Rory & Leonard Snart and Professor Martin Stein who was my idol the others I didn't recognise. So I stood up and saw the same man from the graveyard I recognised him because of his brown trench coat. He told us his name was Rip Hunter and he was from the future. He showed us what our future would look like without our help but I wasn't sure what help I could be.

After talking to us all he took me aside "I'm so sorry for your loss Elizabeth but I do need your help and I believe we can help each other" Rip said as he looked at me before he played me the recording from my phone call with my parents killer "the man who killed your parents is a man called Vandal Savage" Rip said as he looked at me but the name was familiar. Before he left he gave Professor Stein a card with a way to contact him if we changed our minds as we walked away I avoided Professor Stein because he was my idol and the reason I took an interest in physics.

I headed to the nearest woods and made camp for the night re reading all of the letters trying to make up mind about what I was going to do I took a photo of the card that Professor Stein had been given it was an address and time which was tomorrow. But I wasn't sure why I was chosen I was just a normal college student with a job as barista, but now I guess I'm not I'm part Krptonion and it was the reason my parents were killed and that I had been threatened as I was looking through the book I noticed something that stuck out to me it looked like a birth certificate. So I pulled it out of the box and looked at it looked like it was written in a new language this what my mother was talking about my mother mentioned another planet maybe she was born there.

As I looked further through the box I found another letter addressed to me this one looked more recent because it wasn't covered in dust or damaged. As I opened it up it mentioned that people from my mothers planet had abilities here on earth due to its sun. This was the reason that Rip wanted me to join the crew he was creating because of powers I may have due to having the same DNA as my mother.

The next day I woke up early packing up my things and heading to the location Rip had told us to meet him if we decided to join him on his mission. I had decided to go when I woke up because it was the opportunity of a lifetime to time travel so I had to take it plus it would give me the opportunity to avenge my parents as I arrived at the location I saw that everyone was there from the rooftop. We waited a while thinking he wouldn't show but then out of nowhere a timeship appeared which meant it was being shielded as the ship appeared Rip did also. As we walked around the Ship my mouth dropped because it was amazing to see the technology from the future.

"it's amazing isn't it" Professor Stein sounding impressed as he looked around "indeed it is" I said looking impressed before he looked up to me and he put his hand out to shake mine "I'm" Professor Stein said but he didn't get the chance to finish because I stopped him as he started to speak "I know who you are your professor Martin Stein your my idol" I said sounding excited "thankyou and please call me Martin" Martin said. "I'm Elizabeth Johnson but everyone calls me Lizzy" I said which seemed to change Martin he looked at me strangely before he walked away.

As everyone looked around the ship I found myself a room to call my own before sitting down on my bed and grabbing my bag from beside me and opening the box once more emptying the box on the bed beside me laying everything out and looking at it all again hoping to find out anything else I could. In the box there was letters, pictures of my mother when she was born with my grandmother, a ring that looked like my necklace as I looked through the box I found a photo of my mother with a man I didn't recognise it wasn't my father so who was he?. As I sat on my bed I saw the door open to see someone stood at the door "Elizabeth right?" She asked as she looked at me "Yeah" I said as I looked at her.

"I'm Kendra" Kendra said with a smile on her face "Rip told us I'm so sorry" Kendra said with a sad look on her face "I understand what it feels like to have someone taken away from you by Vandal Savage" Kendra said which lead me believe she had a past with him "I don't really remember him but Carter informed me about my past it still doesn't seem real" Kendra said as she sat on the bed beside me "I understand it's a lot to deal with until recently I was a barista and now I'm a demigoddess" Kendra said which made me pull a shocked expression "I know right" Kendra said with a smile which caused me to smile then the door opened once again and Leonard Snart was stood in the doorway "Rip needs us in the brig" Snart said so we both stood up and headed to the brig.
