Do you ever step back and think about your life? Either watching as your memories go by? Regretting something in life? Or falling towards your death? Well, falling to my death is where I step back and think about my life.

"Jarvis what is failing in my car?" I ask, Jarvis my
A.I.

"Sir it seems the 6th cylinder isn't firing as strong as the rest sir," Jarvis replies.

Looking over to the holographic picture as Jarvis shows the schematics. I sigh and began unscrewing the cap covering my fuel cylinders. Removing the cap I see the cylinder. As I began studying it, my phone started to ring.

"Jarvis who is that?" I ask.

"It's Ms.Potts sir," Jarvis says.

"Go ahead and accept the call please," I state as the phone answers.

"Tony?" Pepper's voice, chimes through the phone.

"What's up Pepper?" I ask, sounding impatient.

"Tony I just got off the phone with CPS about you having a daughter." Pepper responds, nervously.

"Daughter?" I ask confused.

"Yes daughter Tony. Her name is Tara and she is in hospital after an attack on her mother and step-father. She is 5 years old Tony..." Pepper whispers.

"Send me what hospital it is and I'll go there goodbye Potts," I state, I hang up the phone.

I go upstairs changing into a nice suit and my sunglasses. Walking to my favorite car I climb in and began driving to the address. How did I get a daughter? How did this even happen? I drive towards the middle city of Malibu.

After the half hour drive I arrive at the hospital finding my strawberry haired assistant standing outside the main doors. She was typing on her phone and talking to someone on her headset. No press there yet. Making my way to her I throw my car keys to Happy.

"Park beauty somewhere close Happy and I will call you when we finish then I will drive home," I state.

Happy gives me a nod before climbing in and starting my car. He drives away parking my car somewhere. I walk to pepper casually. Pepper looks up and gives me a small sad smile.

"Let's go there pepper." I ushered her, "I have better stuff to do."

Pepper rolls her eyes, "You better be on your best behavior around her she is fragile."

I scoff as she turns and walks to the main desk asking for the little girl who is supposably my daughter. The receptionist points to the children's hospital that was on one of the top floors. Potts smiles and takes me to the elevator hitting the 6th floor. The elevator doors click shut as I turn to look at her.

"What if it's not my child?" I ask bluntly.

Pepper shoots me a glare, "They already DNA tested her and took blood samples you two are an identical match."

I look a bit taken aback going to say something. When the doors open again. We exit the elevator walking to the children's hospital desk. Pepper gave the woman a smile.

"Hi I'm Pepper Potts and this is-" "Tony. Tony Stark," I interrupt Pepper. I could feel the glare she shoots me as the woman nods her head from behind the desk.

"I see you must be here to see Tara. She is in the play room at the end of the hall go through the two big doors. Ask one of the nurses in there for help." The lady tells us pointing to the hallway on our right. She hands Pepper our visitor badges as she puts one on her and then on me as I have a thing about people handing me things. Making our way down the hall pepper pushes open the door as there was kids everywhere playing. A caretaker was playing with a doll with a small girl. Pepper smiles and walks to her I follow close behind.

"Hello miss can I help you?" The caretaker asks

Pepper smiles, "Yeah we are looking for a small girl named Tara..."

"Oh Tara is right outside on the hospital balcony now be-careful don't scare her... her heart can't take anymore..." she whispers, Pepper nods and smiles.

Pepper looks at me and waves me towards an opened balcony where a small girl sat on a bench. She held a teddy bear in her hands as she was bruised and scratched. Pepper and I approach her as Pepper kneels down.

"Hey are you Tara?" She asks softly

Tara lifts her head up and looks at Pepper as her eyes were glossy. She sniffs, "Y-Yes I'm Tara...."

"Hi I'm Pepper Potts and this is Tony Stark," Pepper replies.

Tara slowly looks up at me as she had bright blue eyes and dark brown hair. She had a facial structure like mine. She looked almost just like me as I kneel down. She looks at me and held her tiny hand out.

"I'm Tara..." She whispers, it was a very soft and gentle voice.

I gently take it and shake it, "I'm your biological father Tony Stark."

Her eyes widen in shock as she got down and hugs me around my chest. I huff and go to push her away, "Listen kid I don't handle affection well. Anyway you'll be staying with Pepper and you will have a room in my house."

Tara steps back and nods her eyes staring at the ground. Pepper stands and Tara takes her hand. I send Happy a text and he began pulling my car in front. I head down with Pepper and Tara walking behind me. As we get to the front entrance there was press everywhere. I curse under my breath. Pepper held Tara as Happy forces his way into the hospital doors.

I look at Happy and sigh as I walk over lifting Tara into my arms.

"Happy I want you in front and Pepper block Tara's face. Tara keep your head down it's gonna get loud and camera's are gonna flashing." I order, feeling Tara's body form to mine practically. Happy opens the door and reporters swarmed me like ticks on a dog.

People were yelling and holding microphones, recorders, cellphones, and cameras.

"Tony! Over here!" A reporter yells
I cover the small bundle that was in his arms. Pepper following not far behind. He wanted to keep Tara from the spotlight. Reporters try to ask questions and try to snap pictures only to have Me cover his daughters face and body. Finally, we get to my car. The allowed me to relax. Pepper stood next to her car. As Happy opens the door for me.

I didn't realize that I had been holding Tara's head in to my neck. She didn't even fight me holding her as I slowly release my hand from her head. She sat up looking at me with her big blue eyes.

"I'm sorry Tony...." She apologized, her eyes filling with tears.

I felt a small pang in my chest as I held her close, "Hey it's alright Tara don't worry about it. That is normal for me. I always live in the spotlight I just don't want you in the same boat. Now Pepper here is gonna take you shopping for clothes and bedroom decorations. So, that when you get home you have something to decorate your room with."

Her eyes open in shock as a small smile shows. She had dimples and bright blue eyes with brown hair. Oh, boy! When she gets to high school I'm gonna be screwed. Boys are gonna practically gonna grovel at her feet. I will have to protect her, but I can't be weak now I must be strong. I look at Pepper giving her a nod as she takes Tara placing her in the car seat that was in the back.

Tara holds her teddy bear as Pepper buckled her in shutting the door. Pepper smiles at me.

"I'll see you at home sir," She states as she walked to the driver side of her car. I watch as pepper drives off with Tara.

I watched as Tara held her teddy bear up to the window making it wave at me when they drove off. I got in the car next to Happy as he smiles.

"What are you smiling about?" I snap a bit at Happy.

"Nothing sir. Nothing at all..." He trails off.
