The Night Arises
My vision was blurry. And, oh great. It's raining. It's...cold. Almost everything in my mind was fuzzy. The only really clear thing I remember is my name... I couldn't move. The only part of me that I could move actually, was my eyes. I could see my furry cat body lying on the cold and rough concrete. I couldn't see the night skies, lit ablaze with the stars above me becuase of the bright city lights of Orikumo. I supposedly...well, passed away at that time. I remember dying, in a spreading pool of blood. I got into a skirmish with some other random adult cat. A girl had looked at me and smiled, like all the girls who liked cats. I didn't think too much about her at that time, because I was dying, duh. I was delivered the fatal blow, too stunned to even cry out, now left here, thinking random other things...Doing nothing but waiting for my life to end. That was all I remember on that night. I expected it all to end. But... When I came to, I was lying on an operation table, front side up. I had no idea how I got there. I heard many voices, none that I had recognised. I then heard a woman's voice that murmured a soothing tone. My world, at that time, was foggy and dense. I drifted back to sleep, because it took a lot of effort just to open my eyes and be aware to my surroundings. But...In the corner of my eye, something stood out to me. Surrounded by the fogginess, was a pixel. Isn't that strange? The world I was in wasn't made out of pixels, so why was there one there? I craned my neck further to get a glimpse of what it was. As soon I focused on it, it faded away. Strange. What the heck was it? I didn't know. I never did really find out. I then lost consciousness, exhausted by the small effort. At that time, I had never known what had exactly happened to me. It just seemed that I had died and that I had lived... I think? Weird right?
