"Understand?" I said.

I looked at Blaze. "Are you really a Phoenix?" I asked. He nodded. "I think that we should keep this between the two of us." Said Blaze. What reason did I have? "You know..." I said, "You talk a lot...". He gave out a small laugh. I sighed. I stood up and headed outside the room. "Hey." Blaze said behind me. I stopped. "What?". I turned around slightly. "Be wary of everyone." He said. I nodded. Just then, a small crowd of kids around 5~10 started streaming around me. I kinda stood out because I was twelve human years old. I made my way around them carefully, taking care not to tread on anyone or anything. I could see Lisa trying to get through the kids. I headed towards her. She saw me and waved. I took a look around the hospital. It was a children's hospital, with around nine storeys high. I was only allowed in the public places for the patients. I headed back towards my room. From it, I could hear voices raising. I peeked in, wondering what it was all about. The whole room went quiet. Lisa and Blaze were just wrapping up a... tense conversation. See, I just walked in, with no idea what was going on, and the two of them were dragging me towards the bed. Blaze, apparently, was carrying a small speaker that was in his collar which totally isn't disturbing. Lisa, didn't approve of it for some reason. She went on and on about the safety of her patient, meaning me. I was dragged into the argument as a innocent bystander. They sure can fight. It took a while for them to calm down. Three days passed since the operation. Blaze paid for the medical fees and whatnot. Don't ask me how. Once we were out of the hospital, he grabbed my hand roughly and started to pull me towards somewhere. I was dragged to a big building, with security guards and everything were looking after the place. Blaze took a card that he pulled out of his pocket and showed it to the guards. He then scanned it on a scanner on the big, glass doors. I was then pushed in, then the doors slid shut behind me. Blaze put on a serious face and spun me around so I was facing him. "Don't tell lies," He said to me."Now answer me. You are not human either, right?". I stared at him, not knowing how to respond. The two of us were silent for a minute. "BLAZE!!!". The sudden yell startled us two. "Ah..." whispered Blaze. His face paled slightly. The speaker was a girl with her black hair tied up in braids. She had glasses that were cracked. "YOU'RE BACK!!" She ran up to us, aiming for him. Blaze ducked out of the path of her incoming hug. She was a great example of a Yandere. I was ignored while she was chasing after Blaze. I could totally see the love hearts coming out of her head. Blaze shouted, "I brought Kuro!". The girl dug her heels in and screeched to a stop. She came over and looked at me. I asked, "Why was I brought here?". The girl looked up. She said, "Listen carefully, 'cause I'm only gonna say this once 'kay?". I nodded."Blaze was on a mission(He calls them missions, they're just adventures.) to explore and find other people like him.". I felt like an idiot. I didn't understand clearly. "What I mean is, Blaze isn't only a phoenix. He is a half spirit. He isn't human.". At this point, Blaze interrupted, "He was smart enough to find out." The girl continued, "My name is Ikasu, I'm a scientist that researches spirits and demons. I research them because my goal, and everyone else researching here, is to discover a way to defeat and purify demons without needing to have naturally born demon slayers(half spirits/demons). Demons, are spirits whose souls have become corrupted. It is not their decision to become corrupted, it is just the guilt, longing, sadness and many more emotions that affect them terribly." I stopped and thought about her words. "And what does that have to do with me?" I asked. "Isn't it obvious?" Ikasu said. "Don't just play dumb, Blaze told me about your 'Special' case." She looked me in the eye. "You're not human too.". I nodded. "Don't be so quiet about it, that's why we're here to help."Said Ikasu. I looked up. "We're?" Blaze and Ikasu nodded. "Yeah," said Blaze. "Everyone here." He gestured towards the many storeys above. "I think you have already noticed them. We're not the only ones here." He smiled."In this building, there's over 375,00, people, spirits and demons alike, living in here. From now on," He turned to me."This is your home."
