Chapter Twenty-Seven: Break Out

"Alice, wake up! Alice!" A voice was brought to my ears, making me flutter my eyes open to see Liam crouching in front of me, but I was propped up against a door. My head slightly banging, but it wasn't much...

"What happened?" I asked Liam, my eyebrow raised.

"We found you and Parrish like this," he states, making me turn my head to the right to see Parrish alive and well. I slowly began to stand to my feet, using the door as support, as I watch Liam rummage through a station cart for something.

"What are you doing?" I ask Scott, as his eyes landed on me.

"We need Parrish to find Lydia as he can," Scott states to me as I nodded my head. "But we need the hellhound," Scott went on, as Liam throws him a can of spray. Parrish sits at the bottom of the step, breathing slightly heavy as he watches Scott pull a lighter out and brought the flame up.

"I'll go ahead see if I can catch her scent," I told them before they could stop me I had vamp-sped away and down the stairs. Going back to the closed unit, without coming out of vamp-speed, but mostly I was following Stiles's scent that lead me to a shower room and down a grate, which was open. Meaning I was on the right tracks...

I came to a halt in the tunnels sniffing the air to follow the trace of Stiles, but there was chemicals in the air and shit... His scent was fading by the second, I needed an another method. I began to focus on channelling the ley-lines once again, hoping that I wouldn't use too much of it's power. I channelled enough to snap open my eyes to find a burning trail of flames leading me down the hallway, but once I began to walk the flames vanished into thin air. I quickly rushed down the hallway, taking twist and turns around corners, finding myself to Stiles.

"Lydia!" I hear Stiles's voice echo through the hallway, the path of flames glowing brighter as it suddenly vanishes, like the air was snuffed out. Banging also came to ear, making me vamp-speed to the source. I came to a halt behind Stiles and Theo, who were trying to get the down down.

"Stand back," I spoke to them both, making them shoot around but they took a step-side ways. I held my hand out to the door, but before I could speak a word a loud screaming sound came to our ears, making the door rumble and everything around us. I clutch my ears once again, as the Scream of a Banshee lasted only a moment. But a wave of blood entered my nostrils, but it wasn't Lydia's, I quickly shot out my hand to the door, making it swing open. Stiles bolts in to save Lydia as I came in after him to see her sat up right before falling back into the chair.

"You came back," Lydia spoke to Stiles as he took off the monitoring pads off her temples.

"We're getting you out of here, ok?" Stiles states to her.

"You can't. It's too dangerous," Lydia replied, knowing that it wasn't safe for her to be outside these walls right now.

"Lydia, please shut up and let me save your life," Stiles was tough with her but she offered a small smile while nodding her head. He grabs her arm and wrapped it around his neck and she slid of the table with him, and I came to the other side of her, wrapping her other arm around my neck. Stiles and I drag her out of that room, and along the tunnel, hoping we would get out of here fast...

We walk for a few minutes turning corner and following the pipes on the wall, but Lydia was slipping on us, her legs were giving way as she was fighting the screams inside her head.

"Lydia you have to stay on your feet," I told her as she groans in pain.

"The plan didn't work out too well," Stiles went on trying to lighten the mood with his humour. "So we need your help, ok?" Stiles states to her, as a door was appearing in front of us.

"You had a plan?" Lydia asks trying to distract herself.

"Good on paper, but not in reality," I told her as we made it to the door, Stiles pushes it open and goes through, but our grip on Lydia was lost as she knelt to the ground.

"I can't hold it," her hands gripped the side of her head, no longer containing the screams. "I can't do it," Lydia spoke, but I didn't think of my actions, I quickly came to the left-side of her. Kneeling to her level and looping my arm through hers, and we held hands. My other hand on the ground as I began channelling the ley-lines once again...

"You are not alone," I told her as she knew that I meant it. I began channelling her, the screams of the dead began to pour in my head, I was sharing what was happening to her. Hoping that it would ease her suffering and lower the blow to our surroundings. The screams built up inside our heads, the louder they got, the more I wanted to scream. Our hands squeezed tightly with one another as this was it, the last build up...

Suddenly Parrish came into view of us, but I didn't have time to process anything as he comes closer but that was it, the lid came off. Lydia and gasp in-taking air before we began screaming, suddenly Parrish wraps himself over us, he brought me in closer as he did with Lydia as we both screamed at the top of our lunges into his chest. His chest muffling our loud screams. A massive shock waved rippled through the place, though I could feel it, I couldn't see it. All I could see with dust flying everywhere, but I felt Parrish's protective arms wrapped around us both...

The screams died from our mouths after a moment smoke appeared all around us and rumbled laid waste to the floor. My hand slipped from Lydia's as Parrish picked her up bridal style, but Parrish also reached out his hand arm pulled me up as well as I felt drained and so tired. He wrapped my under his arm, dragging me along through the smoke.

"Where to?" Parrish states as Scott comes forward and grabs me, lifting me up into his strong arms, using bridal style to carry me. My hands wrapping around his warm neck, as he uses his strength to carry me.

"This way," Scott states and rushes down the tunnel, but my vision began to blur, and I went under...

"Alice!" A voice pierced my ears, making me flutter my eyes open to see that we were now outside, just outside of Eichen's gates. "Can you stand," Scott asks me, making me nod my head as I felt my strength coming back to me. He places me down on the pavement, my feet touching the ground. Everyone was out as Scott covers the grate back over and head-lights appeared, making Scott stand back. Malia and Kira jump out of the jeep.

"Is she ok?" Malia asks, her eyes wondering over to Lydia.

"No, we need to go. Give me the keys. We gotta get her to the clinic," Scott rushes out as Malia hands him the keys to the Jeep, but blood entered my nostrils as Parrish suddenly falls forward, slashes on his back as he groans in pain, stopping his fall by the hands on the Jeep. But we all turned sharply to see Tracy holding Lydia.

"Sorry, but she's coming with me," Tracy states to us.

"Ok. Tracy, just wait. You don't know what's about to happen," Scott tried to bring her around.

"I'm taking her. That's what's happening. And none of you are going to do a thing..." Tracy states but suddenly, electricity crackles through the air, making Tracy groan and fall to the ground. Lydia falls into Stiles's embrace as he held her up. My eyes wondered to the woman behind Tracy and it was Lydia's Mother Natalie.

"Could somebody please get my daughter out of this hellhole?" Natalie states to us, and we didn't waste anytime. Stiles got Lydia into the jeep as they sat in the back, Scott in the driver side and I got in the passenger-side. And off we went, we wasn't going to waste anytime in getting Lydia to the Clinic.

As we drove down the long road, Scott tried to change gears but the gear stick was stiff and he was tumbling with it. But I was still out of it due to the channelling the ley-lines and channelling Lydia...

"Scott," Stiles's voice whipped through the air, it held worry for Lydia.

"Yeah. I'm trying, I'm trying," Scott rushes out as he tries to move the gear stick in the right place.

"We're almost there. Lydia, just hold on, ok?" Stiles states to her, but in the rear-view mirror I could see her screw up her face as sweat poured from her forehead, and suddenly she let out a piercing scream, it going through all of us. I could hear the smashing of glass, but it only lasted a few seconds as she cut it off before it could go any louder...

Blood rushed through my head as my ears rung, but I began coughing as my energy was lacking. I place my hand in front of my mouth, but I felt blood come through and go on my hand.

"Alice! Are you all right?" Scott asks worried, but I didn't reply as I slipped under, I felt my head lean back onto the head-rest and I was out once again...

I could feel my body being dragged into the clinic as the smell was for sure the same as it has been for awhile now. My eyes peered open, as I was gaining a bit of strength back. Scott was carrying me by his side, as Stiles had Lydia.

"Alice, can you stand?" Scott asks, making me nod at him as I was placed at the side of the clinic, holding onto the metal count.

"Ger her on the table," I hear Deaton yell to the boys, they took Lydia over and lifted her up onto the table and laid her down. Lydia groans in pain as it shot through her body, leaning up in pain. But she let out a little scream and it vibrated through the building, making equipment rumble through the clinic. I held one of my ears but the ringing was still too much. I could see Deaton talking but not what he was saying...

But once he was done with whatever he was doing, he came over to Lydia and held the syringe type thing over the hole in hear head, and began to inject it into it. Just then, Lydia lifts up screaming as loud as she could, making the whole building shake violently and then the windows above smash, sending glass everywhere. Suddenly, I felt a sharp white-hot pain in the side of my neck. I gasp for breath as my hand went to the side of my neck to feel a long shard of glass jammed in there. I gasp and made some noises as I turn around to face the gang, gagging slightly for oxygen, but my eyes widen as I felt the blood trickle down the side of my neck.

"Alice!" Deaton states in shock, but I fell to the floor, landing on the small shards of glass but with the lack of energy and the pain currently emitting from my neck. But once again I fell under but this time it was too death...

The Banshee Scream had killed me...
