Chapter Five: Foundation Rattled

Not even ten minutes passed and I had gained more moment in myself, as this toxin were being replaced by my healing factor. I crawled up, using the table as support. I latch my hands on top and pulled myself up and stood to my feet. But I felt like a baby deer, standing on their feet for the first time.

"God, I hate this," I had state annoyed holding onto the table for support. Just then, another hand had clamped on the other side and I see Scott's hair pop up. Suddenly, Theo came in and helped Scott to his feet, putting him on the table.

"How did you find us?" Scott asks Theo as I took my gaze to his.

"'Cause you work here. I heard about Tracy, I've been looking for you," Theo replied back, as he goes over to Stiles and halts him up and places him to the table so it could be his support.

"But we lost her," I had added. Theo's eyes met mine for a brief moment.

"And Malia," Stiles added as Theo's gaze flickered between us all.

"I can help," he states strongly, before noticing Deaton, then he helps him up and places him at the end of the table. I see Deaton frown as he looks at Theo, not knowing who he truly was, well not in person until now.

"This is Theo?" Deaton asks Scott.

"Let me help," Theo had continued as he was willing to help and I think he wanted to prove himself to Scott. "It doesn't have to mean I'm part of the pack. Or like you've accepted me or anything like that. It just means I can help catch this girl," Theo spoke, his eyes shifting to us all. Scott's gaze hand went to his friends for an answer but we couldn't give it him, we only exchanged looks, knowing that we needed Theo's help. "Scott. I can help you," he added, but my mind had gone somewhere else. Like a feeling had washed over me, but it was dark and cold.

"Alice," to my surprise, Lydia's voice had echoed through my head, but it was only soft like she had whispered my name and not in a good way.

"Something's wrong," I had spoken out, everyone's eyes came to meet mine. "I have a very bad feeling that something happened to Lydia," my tone was worried as feeling like this shouldn't be swept under the rug.

"What do you mean?" Deaton had asked, as I began to straighten myself up, gaining my balance back once again.

"Like Death's hand had just touched me," I had spoke my eyes connecting to theirs. But I didn't waste anytime standing around, I pushed off from my legs and went into vamp-run, catching Malia's scent on the way...

........................................

I had arrived at the Police station, as I walked in through the side-door, to be met with heavy mixture of different blood. My stare went to the pool of blood that had been dragged along the floor and I see the Sheriff on the floor, paralysed. But I came forward and came to the side of him.

"Sheriff, are you ok?" I had asked, worried as he nods his head, as the toxins were still inside of him.

"Alice?!" Kira's voice boomed, her tone distressed. It sounded like she was right at the side of me, but it came from the Sheriff's office. I stood back up and ran over to the door-way to see Lydia on her side, blooding pouring from her wound on her right side.

"Oh God! Lydia," I rushed forward coming to kneel down at her head. Kira's hands were stained with blood, but I pushed passed the blood lust and focused on my friend. I couldn't risk using my blood on her, after Scott's dad nearly dying. I had to keep an eye on him just in case he died and came back. "Kira, let's see," I had nodded to her, as she lifts her hands up from the wound as blood spurted out. I quickly lean forward and place my hands onto the wound, putting pressure onto it.

"Can you heal her?" Kira had asked, as I lift my hands up a bit, but she's lost too much blood. I can heal the wound, but she will she be weak.

"She's lost a lot of blood. I'll see what I can do," I had replied to Kira as I began to focus on her wound. I began to mumble a spell under my breath, as I see my necklace began to glow. I continued to chant under my breath, but I couldn't feel that Lydia wasn't healing. After a moment, I had pulled my hands back to see the blood still pouring and the wound slightly closed like my healing spell was having little effect.. "This isn't good," my voice was worried as my gaze met Kira's.

"Why?" Kira had asked her tone full of worry.

"The spell isn't healing her fully, it's having minor effect due to the lack of blood in her system," I put more pressure on her wound just to slow the blood flow. "There's another option, but I can't do it. There's too many risks involved," I had replied as Lydia groans in pain, as my expression turned into worry. But I hear footsteps coming this way as I turn around, I see Stiles in the doorway, his expression frighten on what may happen to Lydia. But Theo barges Stiles out of the way as he was getting his belt from his jeans and came over to Lydia, kneeling besides Kira and began putting his belt under her and began to tighten it. To restrict the blood flow coming out of the wound...

After a few moment, I hear heels click against the floor and Miss Martin's voice come to ear as she rushes over to the door. "Oh, God!" She states stunned to see her daughter in pain. The only thing I could do was ease her pain, make a bit of it go away, to make her comfortable. I had blocked out the sounds around me, as I concerted on Lydia, I lifted my hands from her wound as Kira had clamped her hands down. I grab Lydia's hand closest to mine and held it.

"Asinta Mulaf Hinto, Sho Bala," I mumble the spell under my breath as my eyes were on Lydia. She began to relax and the pain in her face began to fade, but the spell only ease the pain. Her eyes open to meet mine as she offers me a small weak smile, knowing that I was doing something to help her. Sirens pierced my ears meaning that an ambulance was on it's way. I smiled as I look down to my hands to see them stained with blood...

Death wasn't going to take my friend...

...........................................

I walk further the hospital, Lydia had been taken here and I were gonna meet the rest of the gang. I had washed my hands as I didn't want Lydia's blood on my hands... I walk aimlessly through the hallway on level two, seeing everyone talking to Melissa. They were talking about how Lydia is off into surgery and that there's anything Melissa needed to know...

My heart ached as I felt powerless to do anything to save her, maybe I could have given her my blood but I wasn't going to risk her to death. Malia had also saw people were masking that they had killed Tracey, and she was pretty shaken up about it. But Melissa came down the hallway, and notices me looking glum.

"You all right, Alice?" She asks sweetly, like a mother would. My eyes went to meet hers.

"Not really. My best friend could have died, and all I could do was perform an minor spell that would not let her be in pain," I had shot back as I was clearly upset about this. "I'm suppose to be a powerful Witch and even a more powerful Hybrid. But right now, I feel..."

"Mortal?" Melissa had cut in as she eyed me up and I nodded my head at her. "Maybe something's can't be solved with magic?" She had counted, only knowing very little about it.

"Nature doesn't like many things these days," I had spoke, sighing to myself. "When she comes too, tell her I hope she's ok," I had said to Melissa as she nods firmly, before walking down to the elevator. As I watch her I could feel eyes burning into me. I turn around to see my friends and Theo all looking at me, like they had just heard what Melissa and I were on about...

"Rude to listen in guys," I spoke softly as they would have heard me, well the ones with super-hearing would have. "But there you have it. I feel like a mortal girl now." I had replied. "Scott, I'll be at your house when you're do," I spoke softly as I turned around and headed for the elevator as things seem to be weird right now...

.............................................

I sit at the bottom step of Scott's stairs, as I look to the door, my mind going somewhere else as I thought about Tracy and how she had gotten through the mountain ash. If she was truly an Supernatural creature then she shouldn't be able to pass through it. Unless a Witch was helping her, but that's not possible, I'm the only Witch in town...

Suddenly, the front door opens to reveal Deaton holding a medical bag. His head nodded side-ways, gesturing to follow him. "Sorry to interrupt," I hear his state as Scott and Kira were back. I push myself up from the bottom step and made my way pass the living room and into the kitchen, coming to the side of the table. "A werewolf with the talons of an eagle," Deaton began as he holds a jar in his hands which he got from his bag. "Possibly a shape-shifter, known in Eastern mythology as a Garuda," Deaton places the jar onto the table, before going into his bag once again, getting another jar. "Tracy's claws. The unmistakable claws of a werewolf... But," he places the claws onto the table. Before grabbing another jar from the bag. "A werewolf who also bears the venom and the scales of a Kanima," he places the last jar down onto the table.

I see Kira tip the jar with Tracy's claws in, like she was examining them. "What do you even call that?" Kira had asked, her eyes trained on Deaton.

"Personally, I call it terrifying," Deaton shot back as it was strange to have a creature like this. "But at the moment, I'm more interested in how Tracy was able to get across the Mountain Ash," Deaton had finished, as it made me wonder.

"I thought nothing supernatural can do that," Kira questions.

"As did I. So, if Tracy was able to cross the Mountain Ash and no one supernatural can do that..."

"Tracy's not a supernatural," Scott had cut Deaton off as he spoke. It would make sense, as she wasn't born or turned into a supernatural being.

"Exactly. If she wasn't born and she wasn't bitten, she had to have been made," Deaton had said, making me cock my gaze to him.

"Made?" Kira asks confused as she didn't understand how supernatural creatures can be made.

"So, someone is trying to make supernatural creatures with non-supernatural means?" I had replied as their gazes came to meet mine. "Whoever they are, they're somehow managing too blur the lines between science and the supernatural. But Nature wouldn't allow of such unbalance. Everything has a weakness, and there's always loopholes," I had explained to them, kind of high voice as it was impossible.

"But there's more," Scott states as we all took our gaze to him. "Liam said he found another hole out in the woods,"

"Burying them could be part of the process, a kind of incubation," Deaton explains the process but it could be a theory but it was the best one we had.

"What are we supposed to do?" Kira's tone was worried as she stood from the chair.

"Same thing you've always done. Protect your friends. Protect each other," Deaton eyes flickered to the three of us.

"What about someone like Tracy?" Scott asks Deaton, as he wanted to save everyone.

"I wish I could tell you," Deaton began. "Hopefully, I'll have more answers soon. I'll be gone a few days," Deaton told us as I turn away and look into the distance as this rattled me, this couldn't be happening. Someone out there is making kids into killers and monsters.

"I've lived in the world of the supernatural a long time," I had turned back around to face Deaton, who was holding up one of the jars. "But I'm still a doctor. Still a man of science. Something like this happens, it rattles the foundation of everything you believe. Something like this shakes you to the core," Deaton had explained all our eyes on him as it was interesting to listen too.

"Something like what?" Scott asks as his tone was worried.

"The rules... The rules have changed," Deaton counter Scott's response, but there was one thing that was for sure...

"Rules don't apply when their dead," I had said darkly as I was thinking of my friends and how Tracy had hurt Lydia. Everyone can be encouraged to do something dark, something that blackens their hearts. Either if it's for love or fear, they will try...

But at this moment in time, mine was for love, the love of my friends and not wanting to see them dead like Allison...
