"So? What do you say?"

"No."

"What? Namjoon please-"

"I said no," he stands up and walks to the chopping table, where a few minutes ago he attempted to prepare food before Akai spoke about the case. "The detective clearly said not to do anything else. They'll handle the ground work. I don't want you getting hurt because of me."

"But I want to be involved-"

"Why?" He suddenly turns around. "Why do you want to get involved?"

"Don't look at me like that," she sighs almost angrily. "I want to help you, that's all I want." she begs.

"Help?" He folds his arms waiting for an explanation.

"Namjoon," she starts again. "You don't realise it but I do care and I don't want to see you hurt for the rest of your life. Look, I know what happened to Dean and I buried him knowing the truth of what happened and the cause of his death. You know nothing of what happened to Sindy. You buried her with no closure. And the people that did this to her are out there and apparently I know one of them. So of course if there's anything I can do, I will do it for you,"

Namjoon looks away from her closing his eyes. She was right about everything she said. But one thing still pained him.

"You're gonna go back into Dean's dark world of gangs and violence." He shakes his head. "Why put yourself through all this for Sindy?"

"Not for Sindy. For you. You deserve to know the truth and I'm here for you." She says licking her lips.

"Are you doing this because you really want to help me?" He asks and she gradually nods her head. "Or because you want to get back into Dean's world,"

Akai pauses for a moment trying to understand. "Look, Namjoon," she's at a loss of words but tries to reassure him. "I, loved Dean so much, so freaking much but he didn't love me back. Okay? It hurt like hell but I got over it and when I say I care about you, I really mean it. I'm not doing this to be back with Dean's friends or his world but because I want you to find rest with Sindy-"

"And what about your rest with Dean?" He asks still not looking at her. "Are you sure you're not attached to him?"

"I got over him the moment I got to know you. So yes, I am positive that I'm not attached to him." she stands up and walks to him, turning his head to face her. "Namjoon hear me when I say I want you to be happy," She looks deep in his eyes.

He smiles frustratedly, "And I just want for you to set differences with your past and move on from Dean,"

Namjoon didn't want Akai doing it. "I will if I do this," she says.

"Okay. I'll let you do your thing, even if I don't like you being in that dark world. You barely even know me fully but yet you're risking your life." He says stiffly. She smiles at his little conflict in his head and stands on her tippy toes to kiss him on the cheek.

"Well I believe that we're both going to be happy again," her arms go around his neck and his hands around her fit waist smiling lightly. He hopes with all his heart that what she says is true. "And in order for us to be happy, sacrifices have to be made."

"Tell me the plan," Namjoon says once he's done eating his pilchard fish. Akai dips her finger on her plate moving her finger seductively before putting it in her mouth teasingly.

"Jay told me that his leader, Zha, has something to do with it,"

Namjoon frowns at Zha's name - it sounds too criminal like.

"And in order for me to meet Zha-" she clears her throat getting ready for his explosion. "I must be his mistress-" before she even finishes Namjoon already shakes his head.

"No no no no no no-" on end.

"Please just listen?"

"No-"

"Namjoon. Listen!"

"Akai this is one of the things I was afraid of you doing. You're gonna sleep with him? This won't make me happy-"

"-It's the only way to meet him-'

"-and that's why it will be negative."

"It won't-"

"What if you become a mistress not only to this Zha guy but to his whole crew? Sindy got killed because of them. I don't want you to die at the end."

"None of that will happen! I assure that as long as Jay is around nothing's gonna happen to me. Nothing ever goes wrong with him," she regretted saying the words once they came out. "That didn't come out right,"

"Jay?" He shakes his head. "Wasn't he the bad guy? Since when does he protect?

Akai swallows looking guilty and Namjoon gets up from the table taking the plates to the sink refusing to deal with Aaki at the moment. It's for Sindy, for Sindy. He keeps saying over and over in his head provoking himself so that he won't get attached to Akai.

Deep in his thoughts with his head down he doesn't notice that her hands are now around his waist, hugging from behind.

"I won't get attached to him or that world." She whispers. "And as much as I hate it, it's the only way to get to Zha. I promise to find another way."

He sighs and nods still chantings in his head about not getting too attached.

Please remember that Namjoon lives in the trailer next to his house. He refuses to go in the house no matter what. Akai is used to the trailer already.
