With our lives,
That can relate so much to a story,
You would think,
The characters would have more to say than "sorry."
The main character would become a hero,
Instead of the villain,
The fighter by her side,
Would be easily forgiven.
You would think that the problem,
Would have been amended,
That the one who had been pushed around,
Would have been slightly offended.
Instead the hero turned,
And the sidekick lost her way,
The one who had been beaten,
Was the only one okay.
The problem has been solved,
But there were millions more,
Ones that no one had planned,
They had opened the wrong door.
So instead the heroes changed,
The story had no plot,
Too soon the end came,
They'd come as close as they got.
The main character crumpled down,
She'd been gone for a while,
She faded into the night,
The story ran on for miles.
Her peers had nothing left,
To say they hadn't said.
For who would they say it too?
So a book they wrote instead.
With their life,
So much like a story,
It's too bad the characters,
Had nothing to say but
Sorry.
