Raze was sitting at a table in the guild hall of Dark Rose. A cup of tea was standing in front of her, giving of steam. Eaden Diamond, Raze' team comrade and best friend was sitting opposite her. "The difficulty of the missions hanging out at the bulletin board is not high." Eaden said with a sigh. "The most difficult things offered there is always slaying a demon or monster, destroying a village. The most difficult jobs go to more powerful and famous guilds like Fairy Tail or Sabertooth.", "Yeah, guess you're right..." Raze took her cup to have a sip. "Or it is because most people don't trust Dark Rose. It was once a Dark Wizard Guild, so sure the mages in there have done terrible things...", "But they should know that Dark Rose is a legal guild now..." Eaden drummed her fingers on the table. "It starts to be kinda boring, though...", "Yes, that's sad..."
Suddenly, the door of the guild hall opened. A girl was standing there. Her hair was long and deep black. Her eyes were red and she looked somehow very ill. There were dark rings under her eyes, her clothing was teared slightly and her hair chaotic. Her legs declined and she fell to the floor. Immediately, Raze was standing up and walking towards her. "Hey, what's wrong with you? Are you okay?!" The strange girl didn't give any answer. "She needs help, quick! Bring her up to the hospital room. I'll inform Alena!" Eaden shouted and ran off. Raze nodded and lifted the girl up. She brought her upstairs into the hospital room and lay her down on a bed. Minutes later, Eaden came in, together with a blonde- haired girl in a black dress. "Oh my... she looks worse.", "What is with her, Alena?" Raze asked. Alena set down on the edge of the bed and put her hand on the forehead of the girl. "She seems to have used too much magical power in the past..." Alena analysed. "She has a high temperature and her body is paralyzed a bit.", "What kind of spell she must have casted that she is in such a bad condition?" Eaden demanded. "I can't say that." Alena said. "It must be a spell she didn't master yet." Raze said nothing. "I'll try to use a healing spell. I might have some medicine as well, but I don't know whether it would work. Using spells you can't handle can be deadly." Alena lay her hand on the chest of the girl. Magical energy surrounded her hands, floating into the body of the girl. "And? Does it work?", "Be silent, Raze! I have to concentrate!" Alena shouted.
After a few moments, the girl opened her eyes. Alena took her hands away. "How are you feeling?" She asked. The girl looked at her face. "I'm... I'm feeling better, thank you... But where am I?", "You've scared us, kiddo." Eaden said. "You're in the hospital room of the Dark Rose Guild.", "I'm in a wizard guild?" The girl asked. "Yeah. Our guild is located in Nohana, a little city of Fiore, though. Who are you if I may ask?" Raze answered. "I'm Tomoko Kasai." The girl replied. "Well, I guess you had luck with what happened to your body after you casted that spell of yours, whatever that spell was." Alena said. "My name is Alena Takahashi. I'm the bar keeper of the guild and usually use Reflection Magic, but I can also use Healing Magic", the wizard girl introduced herself. "I'm Eaden Diamond. I'm an Implore Wizard- or Summoner Wizard, it depends on how you want to call it. I can summon magical creatures. It somehow is like Celestial Magic, but still a bit different though. I also have a Katana called Yoru that contains a lot of black shadow magic. I'm able to control that magic, but it's quite difficult as well." Eaden said. "And I'm Raze Eversnow. I'm an Ice Dragon Slayer." Raze pointed on herself. "You're.... a Dragon Slayer?" Tomoko sat up. "I heard Dragon Slayer Magic is powerful.", "Well, it is indeed." Raze said. "What kind of Magic do you use?", "Me?" Tomoko looked on her hands. "I'm using Maker Magic.", "Maker Magic?" Eaden lifted an eyebrow. "But... does Maker Magic make it possible to use that powerful spells? I mean, you totally whited out.", "I use Gemstone Maker Magic. I think, it's somehow different to other Maker Magic Elements." Tomoko explained. "I was on my way to join the next wizard guild because I have problems to control my power. But suddenly, I got attacked by other wizards. They wanted me to deliver them all my stuff, you know... But I had nothing. They became violent and attacked me, so I had to defend myself. But it were too many of them, so I had to use a spell my teacher forbade me to use... It was my only chance, but that spell damaged my body. I was able to reach your guild, but then I fell unconscious.", "Wizards you say?" Eaden folded her arms. "Were they from a wizard guild?", "I think they were..." Tomoko answered. "Do you remember their emblem?" Eaden asked further. "Eh.... I don't know. Let me remember..." Tomoko started to think. "Yeah, I kinda saw a black tattoo on the arm of one of them.", "Can you describe it?", "I'm not sure... I can try, at least... Well... I guess it was a black snake-like dragon biting in its tail, with two little wings. In the middle was a sign... A triangle, I think. With a hexagon inside.", "That's Shiver Dragon." Eaden said. "It's a dark guild that's located in a town nearby. They are just a bunch of punks but they know when to attack whom, so they are skilled robbers. You're unlucky that you crossed their way, child." Raze nodded. "Shiver Dragon is not that strong, but all the more mean." Alena put a hand on Tomoko's shoulder. "Well, I'm glad you feel better, dear. But you must be careful with your spells, because if you use them carelessly, even if you shouldn't use them yet, bad things can happen to your body or psyche. You have to remind that.", "I know... Thanks for the tip, I think I'll keep it in mind for the next time.", "Wait a second, child." Eaden said. "You said you wanted to join a guild. What guild exactly?", "I.... I don't care what guild, I just wanted to join one to learn how to control my magic." Tomoko replied. "Well... Why don't you want to join our guild? We are searching for new members for a while, you know.", "If you have enough room to have me around here, I would join with pleasure! If I'm allowed to, it would be an honour to me to be one of you. Especially because you saved me." Raze smiled. "Well, we won't say "no" to new members. If you want to join us, just follow me!"
