004.
YELENA SWIPED the viles as Lana hid behind the wall. So far she could hear about five different sets of thoughts, but she knew that there were probably more.
She motioned for Yelena to be silent as they stood against the wall and the door banged open. The younger girl shoved the viles into her bag as people dropped through the hole that was made in the ceiling.
Red dots started to flood the room as the controlled Widows scoped the area for the three sisters.
Yelena sprinted towards the armoury and gunshots followed. Lana deflected the ones coming near her as she went after her. Natasha grabbed the two and Yelena flicked a switch. The lights in the corridor exploded and they jumped out.
Lana elbowed one of the Widows in the face and Natasha kicked the back of her knee.
The three ran out of the apartment as the second Widow shot at them. Lana held them back as she saw two others on the ground floor.
"Stay here," she mouthed to them both. She peeked her head out and they shot.
Two others mounted the stairs and shot at them. Yelena threw a grenade toward them and it exploded as the three ran up the stairs.
"Where are we trying to get?" Natasha yelled.
"Motorbike! Eastside of the building," Yelena replied.
"Bike? As in singular?" Lana questioned, "Hello, there's three of us." She ducked as a bullet shot through the window. Yelena jumped out of a window, onto the roof and they followed.
"We'll have to make do," she shouted over the wind. They slid down a roof, a widow right behind them and continued running.
They reached the end of the roof and where a pipe stood. Yelena took off one of the hinges and Natasha jumped on. They kicked at the same time and the pipe started to fall.
Lana jumped off of the roof and floated down. She looked up at the Widow launched towards her two sisters, gripping Natasha's arm.
Natasha struggled as the Widow cut her arm and dropped to the ground.
The pipe crashed through a window and Yelena fell in but Natasha crashed to the ground beside the Widow. Lana ran up to her, "Are you alright?"
"Yeah," Natasha panted. They both looked towards where the Widow laid motionlessly in the murky water. They stepped towards her carefully and she shifted.
"Hey, don't move. You're hurt," Natasha said, "Let us help you."
The Widow didn't listen and turned, aiming a glowing red bracelet at them.
"I don't wanna do this," the girl sobbed.
"What are you doing?" Lana questioned.
"He's making me," she replied as she turned the bracelet towards herself and shot. Her body fell limp and Lana huffed out a breath. Natasha knelt down beside her as Yelena ran out of the building, with the vile in hand. She saw the burnt side of the Widow's face and put the vile back into the jumble.
"Do you believe me now?" Yelena asked.
Natasha looked up at her, "How many others?"
"Enough," Yelena replied turning away. Natasha got up and the two ran after Yelena.
They exited out onto the street as Yelena shoved the viles back into her bag. They broke into a run as as they approached the rack of motorcycles.
"Which one's yours?" Natasha asked.
"Black. Brown seat," Yelena replied reaching for her keys, "Where are my keys?"
Natasha held them up as she got onto the bike.
"Bitch," Yelena muttered.
A car flew past them and Lana got onto one of the random bikes beside them. She used her powers to fiddle with the ignition and the bike revved at her command.
"Any day now," Natasha said causing Yelena to get on the back. The two bikes drove off as a tank raced behind them through the small alleyway.
Lana turned as a truck stopped in front of her and Natasha did the same. They broke out onto the road as another bike followed behind them. Lana weaved in between the cars before she went down a flight of stairs.
A train almost crashed into her as the Widow shot at both bikes. Both bikes smacked against a wall and the three were launched into the traffic below. Lana was lucky because her powers broke her fall but Natasha and Yelena landed on a car.
The man got out shouting in Hungarian and Yelena pointed her gun at him.
"Fantastic," she commented as the man stepped back away from the car.
"You can't just steal a guy's car," Natasha protested as the two got in.
Yelena crossed over to the passenger seat as Lana made herself comfortable in the back, "So you want me to chase him down and unsteal it?" Natasha rolled her eyes, putting the car into gear. She backed up into another, "Any time now please," Yelena stated.
"Shut up," Natasha replied
Gunfire rained down and the glass above them shattered. Lana deflected the bullets, sending them back the way they came as Natasha drove off. The Widow drove behind them.
Yelena looked back as the Widow shot out the back screen. They ducked.
"Ok do you have a plan?" Yelena asked them both, "Or should I just stay duck and cover?"
"My plan was to drive us away," Natasha responded.
"That's a shit plan," the other two said.
Lana leaned over and turned the wheel so they were driving backwards. Yelena opened her door which was cut off by a pole. The door smacked into the Widow and she rolled off the bike.
"Your welcome," Yelena said as Natasha turned the car around.
Lana looked back as she saw the tank in the rear-view mirror, "We have company." A car was thrown into them and it was a clear pathway between them.
"Oh shit. He's back," Yelena muttered.
The person came up the top of the tank and Lana stared at it, "What the hell is that thing?"
"The thing that tried to kill me," Natasha replied. It drew an arrow and Natasha glanced at them, "Put your seatbelts on."
"You're such a mom," Yelena groaned but did as asked.
"Lana can you try and do something," Natasha stated.
"Well-"
She was cut off as something exploded beneath them and the car flipped. Glass flew everywhere as the car fell into an underground train station.
Lana heard people scream as she kicked her door. It flew outwards and she crawled out. Natasha helped Yelena out.
"Natasha, no. I'm bleeding. I think I'm bleeding," Yelena panted trying to wrap her arm.
Lana stopped her, "No. Not now, trust me. I'll heal it later." She pulled the two up and they limped through the crowd of gaping people. She jumped on top of the middle of the escalator and dropped into a slide. The two followed suit as a shield was thrown toward them. It knocked them off of the escalator, lodging into a beam with a thud.
They paid it no mind and got up, running further into the station.
Lana noticed that Yelena was dripping everywhere and swore. Yelena noticed as well and started to tie her arm.
"Go up," Natasha urged. Lana removed the air vent panel and levitated herself into it. Natasha gave Yelena a boost and Lana helped pull her up before Natasha.
She closed the panel as the robot-like person stopped where Yelena's blood did, dropping into the floor. As Yelena untied the shirt and Lana got to work. "You okay?" Natasha asked.
"Yeah. Great plan. I love the part where I almost bled to death," Yelena retorted. The youngest looked around, "This is cosy."
"Barton and I spent two days hiding out up here," Natasha said.
"That must have been fun," Lana muttered as her fingers danced over Yelena's arm.
"Who the hell is that guy?" Natasha asked.
Yelena let out a bitter chuckle, "Dreykov's new special project. He can mimic anyone he's ever seen. It's like fighting a mirror. Dreykov only deploys him for top priority missions."
Natasha shook her head, "This doesn't make any sense."
"Well the truth rarely makes sense when you omit key details," Yelena replied.
Natasha looked at her, "What is that supposed to mean."
"You didn't say one word about Dreykov's daughter. You killed her," Yelena said.
"I had to. I needed her to lead me to Dreykov. Dreykov's daughter was collateral damage. I needed her to be sure," Natasha replied.
"And here you are not so sure," spoke Yelena.
Natasha nodded, "I needed out."
