Chapter 8
Vader was in his chambers, meditating for probably the first time in his life. He had always hated it and thought it didn't help, only slowed one down, but he was now out of ideas. He had no clue what to do: should he stay loyal to his master, the Emperor, and forget about Ahsoka or leave and reunite with her?
As if on cue, his holocaster beeped. Realizing who was calling Vader placed it on the floor and knelt down. Once he was ready, he put the call through.
"Lord Vader... what has happened to that pesky senator from Onderon?" The Emperor asked. It seemed like he already knew the answer, but wanted to hear Vader say it.
"Well," he started, "erm... I sent an assassin to take care of him, but I uh... I've lost contact with them. I can only assume that they failed my lord."
"Do you take me for a fool Lord Vader?" The Emperor asked. "I know you've had an apprentice since you joined me, Skywalker's old padawan. I know you sent her to Onderon and lost her to the light again. I only allowed you to keep her because one day I was going to have you kill her to prove your loyalty to me!" He cackled his maniacal laugh. Vader just looked at him in shock.
"H-how did you know?" Vader asked, genuinely curious.
"I am the most powerful Sith to ever live! I know all!" He boomed. "Now, you will go to Onderon and bring back the senator and the girl, alive. I have... special plans for them."
"Yes master." It seems as though Vader's dilemma from earlier had been resolved. Ahsoka betrayed him, and now it was time for her to pay.
Before Vader could end the call, the Emperor spoke again. "Do not fail me this time Lord Vader... the consequences could be... deadly," the Emperor said as he smiled his evil smile.
The call ended and Vader sat there, anger, rage, sadness boiling up inside him. He was ready to destroy the rest of Anakin Skywalker's past, and fulfill his destiny as Darth Vader.

Ahsoka and Lux had spent the whole day together, and Ahsoka couldn't be happier. For the first time in her life, she was free to do whatever she wanted. No wars she had to fight in, no one she needed to kill, no one she had to listen to and take orders from. She was free and she could finally let go and be a normal teenager.
After the pair had shopped and bought new clothes for Ahsoka, they went to lunch at a small café in the city. Ahsoka had tried a cup of coffee for the first time in her life, and she hated it. She couldn't even describe the taste, it was just awful. She didn't know how people could drink it every day.
They then ventured to the putt putt course. Ahsoka had never heard of "golf" or "putt putt" before, but she was willing to learn. Lux had told her that he plays a lot with the other senators when he's on Coruscant. If Lux enjoyed it, that was enough for her to try to learn. Besides, she needed to learn to have fun without killing anything.
"So Ahsoka, what do you want to do next?" Lux asked after they finished their game of putt putt.
"I don't know. You know the city and planet better than I do. Do you have any suggestions?"
Lux thought for a moment, trying to think of what they could do next. The sun was going to be setting soon. They could go to dinner or they could... and then it struck Lux. A smile spread across his face as he knew what he wanted to do to finish off the day. Without saying a word, he grabbed Ahsoka's wrist and began to drag her back to the castle.
"L-Lux, where are we... where are we going?" She said between giggles. Lux didn't respond, but continued to run. Soon they reached his home.
"Stay here," Lux told Ahsoka as he turned to enter the home. Ahsoka waited for a few moments before Lux returned with a backpack. Ahsoka gave him a quizzical look, but Lux didn't reveal anything.
"Come on, this way. We need to hurry," Lux said motioning for Ahsoka to follow him.
The pair made their way through the forest surrounding the city of Iziz. Ahsoka had no clue where they were going, but was following Lux. Suddenly they reached an area that she remembered: the Onderon Highlands. This is where they had made base during the Rebellion all those years ago.
Lux led her up to the highest point of the rock formation. When Ahsoka reached the top, she took a look around her. The view was breathtaking. She could see for miles. The beautiful landscapes and plants of the Highlands, the lush forests, and the beautiful city of Iziz out in the distance. Ahsoka just stood there drinking it all in.
She had been so focused on the view, that she didn't see that Lux had set up a blanket on the dusty ground and set out some food for them. She turned and saw this and just smiled at Lux. She walked over and sat next to him, placing her hand in his.
Lux took a forkful of some kind of meat and moved it towards Ahsoka's mouth. She gladly opened her mouth and let Lux feed her. She let him do this a few times, before she used the force and levitated a bite towards his mouth. He smiled and let her (or the force?) feed him.
The pair just smiled at each other and leaned in for a soft kiss. They broke the kiss and looked out over the horizon. The sun was setting and it was various shades of pink and purple and yellow and orange. It was one of the most amazing sights Ahsoka had ever seen.
"Thank you Lux," Ahsoka whispered.
Lux wrapped his arm around her waste and pulled her close to him. He plated a kiss on the top of her lekku, near her montral, and it made a warm feeling buzz through Ahsoka's body. She snuggled in closer to Lux and watched the sun set. This was officially the best day of her life.
