M could feel regret as soon as she knocked on the door. M could hear Skye's loud JPop music blasting through the house. Plus, it was Skye's favorite song titled, "Ode to Ching Chong."

Skye swings open the door in little to no time and hugs M tightly. M just remains silent and flinches from the sudden hug. She had the scent of Chinese food painted on her.

"I'm sorry!" Skye shouts, still hugging the tall girl. M realizes how much of a mistake this was but sticks with it anyways.

M remains quiet. "Come in!" Skye greets warmly, letting M go. She motions for M to walk in, and M does.

"So... You know what happened?" M questions, tears streaming lightly down her cheeks. Skye nods and sympathetically frowns.

Skye nearly shoves M on the couch and plops down next to her. Skye's tv was currently on Bleach, a show that Skye had spoiled for M. Although, M had really only seen the first episode and had pretty much forgotten all of their names.

"Who told you?" A curious M asks, when Skye bites her lip nervously. M raises her eyebrow as she notices the girl's hesitance to respond.

"Well..." Skye chuckles awkwardly while prolonging the "L." (You should also prolong L's life if you know what I mean)

"Did you set this up?" M angrily accuses, clamping her hands on the couch.

Skye hesitates. "No! I was just- watching when it all happened. I'm sorry M, I really am..." She trails off.

The room fell silent. The two of them didn't know what to talk about. Skye was tired, and M was tired as well.

"So what do you do in your free time?" M questions, brushing a strand of hair out of her face.

Skye's cheeks go red. "I guess you could say I write." Skye awkwardly laughs and M just stares at her in a puzzled nature.

"That's cool." M begins, flicking the couch for no general reason. "What do you write?"

Skye smiles and outbursts with random laughter. She did this often, and M was well used to it.

"My book is called the Dark Corner Chronicles." She explains, giggling again.

"What's it about?"

Skye pauses. "It's about this girl who tries proving to the world her true identity. She's also in a love crisis and her one true love is killed over and over again, while another man loves her but she doesn't love him."

M nods. "Sounds familiar." She says with a slight chuckle.

So, the two friends chatted the rest of the night, laughing and crying. (M was mostly crying.)

And they decided to go out for some more Asian food. (I'm going to Mama Fu's for the first time tonight lol)

L was breathing heavily as he holds his first above the door. He exhales and knocks on the door.

It swings open to reveal a smiling Light Yagami, with Misa Amane clinging on to his arm.

"Oh hello Ryuzaki." Light sweetly says with a smile.

"Light. I need to talk alone with you for a second." L eyes Misa as she frowns and groans.

Light nods and closes the door behind him, shutting Misa out.

"What is it Ryuzaki?" He asks.

L bit his tongue before speaking. "I may need your help on this case."
