"Me!" Misa rudely interrupts the answer that Skye was so impatiently waiting for.

"You didn't let me finish." Light frowns as Misa grabs his arm. Light lightly shoves her off and fixes his posture.

L and M enter the room, the both of them looking calm. M was still in her girly outfit, which L was drooling over.

"I believe our investigation is over." L announces, when Light lets out a sigh of relief. L completely ignored the fact that Misa Amane was standing in the living room, or even the fact that Skye's face was still red from Misa's attack.

Light smiles. "This is who you were looking for, Ryuzaki?" He questions, when L walks forwards defensively.

"...Is there a problem with that?"

Light looks taken back and shakes his head. "No! Not it all! I was just surprised that we found her so quickly." He explains, Misa whining quietly.

"Very well, Mr.Yagami. You may be dismissed." L says in a bored tone, as Light nods with a 'thank you.' He leaves the room, his shoes clicking as they tap the floor. Misa sends a death glare towards Skye before making a 'humph' and leaving behind him.

M examines Skye's expression. Something about her looked strange, even for her. Skye hadn't giggled for the last ten minutes, and that's abnormal. It was as if the two girls had switched personalities for the day. M was all giggly and happy, while Skye was sad and quiet.

As the door shut, Skye sits down and huffs, blowing a strand of hair out of her face with a frown. M situates herself besides the girl.

"You don't mind me staying here with M until we go back, do you?" L questions before he decides to sit down. Skye shakes her head.

L bows in thanks and seats himself next to M.

"Skye, what's wrong?" M quietly asks, when Skye looks up at her.

She sighs. "I really like Light, but he's dating Misa. I can obviously tell he doesn't like her, but she's so whiny and overprotective."

M opens her mouth to speak but is interrupted by L's chuckling. "You're right about that observation. But I do not believe Mr.Yagami is the one you want to turn your romantic interests towards. There's nobody else I've told this to, with the exception of M, but Light is one of my main suspects in a criminal case." L reports, sucking on a piece of candy that he had in his pocket.

"What?!" Skye nearly jumps from her seat with wide eyes. "But he's just a suspect, right? So that doesn't mean he's the actual one." Skye hesitates, defending Light.

"I'm not gonna lie," M speaks up with a smile, "I personally think Light is kin and innocent, but L is never wrong in his assumptions, even if everyone thinks he is. If it's something L considers, it's something you should consider too." M suggests, slouching back.

"I appreciate that, M." L comments, pecking her on the cheek. "Of course, Misa is also another one of my suspects." L explains, fidgeting with his hands.

"Great!" Skye exclaims happily. "We just have to prove that she killed someone, innocent or not."

M raises her eyebrow. "That's not how it works."

L shifts in his seat. "Believe me, I've already tried that with both Light and Misa. We kept them in confinement for a month or so and something strange happened to both of them. They acted like they had a completely different personality, completely different passions and motives. It was unusual." L bites his lip while glaring at the ground.

Skye frowns. "New personality? But how is that even possible?"

M shrugs. "I'm no genius but I could suggest it would be from insanity or something along those lines."

L nods. "That is a possibility. Point being, we are not going to prove anyone quickly or easily. It's harder than it looks."

Skye slightly smirks. "Well, you said it yourself that it won't be proved quickly. That's why we need to go now! Let's go!" Skye exclaims, dragging the other two out of the room on a quest.
