(Pretend like I have long hair still thanks)

M stayed over at Skye's apartment for the night. Admittedly, staying over was not as bad as M had figured it would be.

"Where exactly are we going?" M furrows her eyebrows, as she follows the raven haired girl in the mall. Skye just smiles and drags her further.

Skye suddenly stops and turns to M. "Quick, it's L and Light!" Skye whispers to M as M's eyes go wide. M fumbles around and pulls her hoodie over her face. She had dearly hoped he wouldn't recognize her.

"Why are we here, Ryuzaki?" Light questions L as M and Skye slowly pass by unnoticed. L suddenly turns his head to the two girls, as if he had recognized them. He narrows his eyes, then shakes his head.

"Sorry Light, I thought I saw M." L sighs as he walks with both hands in his pockets.

"M? That's the one we're looking for, right? Boy Ryuzaki, this case has really driven you insane." Light chuckles, while L keeps his same bored expression.

"It's not a case." L mumbles to himself as he pulls Light forwards.

Skye crosses her arms. "I don't really see why you're hiding from L in the first place. You could talk it out like normal people." She suggests, as M removes the hood from her head.

M shakes her head. "I guess I am being a bit irrational, but I still have nothing to discuss with him. It's plain to see that he cheated, and that he doesn't love me. The part that confuses me is why he's so keen on finding me." M bites her lip as they advance forwards. Skye stays quiet, but shrugs.

They kept walking for a few moments in silence, until Skye frantically tugs on M's arm. M raises her eyebrow in confusion, but Skye just smiles and points to the store in front of them. Eternally 22.

"Here?" M says with a hint of disgust in her voice. Skye ignores her pleas and drags her in anyways.

Skye stops and looks M up and down, her hand on her chin. She narrows her eyes in thinking, and then they suddenly light up.

"Ooh! ~I've got it!" She squeals, rushing off. M is left standing alone awkwardly.

Skye had refused to show M what she had gotten for her. M didn't care, but just wanted to get out of the store.

"Is that all?" The cashier asks, running a hand through his brightly colored hair. Skye nods eagerly, and pays for it.

Skye's crush on the cashier was quite obvious, M thought. M had never seen Skye look this way towards anyone before, and it could certainly mean one thing.

M and Skye exit the room, Skye skipping as she steps. The cashier yells something to them, but Skye couldn't hear it. M, however did.

M rushes to the counter. The man smiles and hands his receipt to M. M grabs it.

"Give that to your friend, alright?"

M was startled at why he would say that. She shakes her head and read the receipt. M chuckles at what was on it.

-My name is Ichigo, call me sometime?

And his number was written besides it.

M grins largely at the new blossom of life. Of course, there was no way M was going to let this slide. M quickly stuffs it in her pocket and decides to show it to her later.

"M! What took you so long?" Skye impatiently shouts at the girl, when M blushes and her eyes widen.

She stutters. "Oh- uh n-nothing! You left the receipt." M's plan to show it to her later had already been foiled and M succumbs and just removes the crinkled receipt from her pocket. She hands it to Skye, who then reads it.

Skye's whole face goes red. Her hands were shaking as she read it.

"Well, it's best time we get home." Skye mutters, her face still painted with scarlet.

M scowls at herself as she looks at herself in the mirror. For once in her life she wasn't wearing her usual dark clothes and normal hair. It was strange.

"Aww! You look adorable!" Skye smiles at the pouting M. M pulls on her hair.

M continues to examine herself in the mirror. Her blonde hair was pulled back in two mini pig-tails similar to Misa Amane. A turquoise dress outlined with dark blue was wrapped around her, as she stumbles to stand properly in black heels.

"I look gross." M replies, sticking her tongue out at the mirror.

"You do not!" Skye argues back. "I bet if L saw you now he'd be regretting ever cheating on you."

M laughs. "Why are we so focused on L? We should be more focused on your friend Ichigo." M wiggling her eyebrows. She elbows Skye teasingly.

Skye gasps and laughs, hitting M lightly. Why was M acting this way? Her new personality felt weird and she certainly hoped it would not stay this way.

A loud banging sound suddenly came from the door. Skye and M fell silent, as Skye creeps towards the door.

She stands on her tip-toes to look through the door hole. She gasps and motions for M to hide. M just refuses and stands there in confusion.

"It's L."
