M chuckles as she scans through the texts her lovely boyfriend, L, had sent her. Some laughter was just what she needed after a long day of foolishness. This class was certainly one that could provide some humor and relaxation that others lacked. Of course; school isn't entirely focused on that.
She smiles as her good friend, Jenna, skips into the room. She refocuses on the glowing screen in front of her, and decides to shut it off. Jenna plops down beside her, raising her eyebrows at the rushed decision.
"...Sooo what were you doing on there?"Jenna questions with humor in her voice. M rolls her eyes and laughs.
"Talking to L, nothing important. What's happening between you and Ashton?" M suggests in a silly voice, raising both her eyebrows as well.
Jenna is startled and a shade of red creeps up her cheeks. She opens her mouth to speak but is interrupted by someone.
Laughter. Giggling.
It was her.
She was alright, M guessed. The girl was pretty nice and popular as well, while M was- well- different. M was more of a wallflower, most likely to be "that one kid."
She smiles at M, as she throws her books down onto the pews. She brushes her long, raven colored hair over her shoulders and situates herself between her and Jenna. Jenna simply throws her hands up in questioning while M just sighs.
The girl shows her large grin. "Aww you're away from your dark corner again? I'm sorry." Skye sympathetically says, holding in her laughter.
There was an ongoing joke that M was "emo" because of the dark corners and lack of friends she had. Of course; she didn't actually have a lack of friends, none of the students in her level matched her personality. Truth is, loneliness never bothered her, and L and Jenna were all the friends she needed.
M cracks open her book, choosing to ignore Skye. Skye was never intending to be rude or anything in asking that question, for it was mostly a friendly tease. M thought it was annoying regardless.
"If you keep ignoring your problem, it will just get worse!" Skye almost yells to her. Where was the teacher? She suddenly remembers that they were supposed to stay in the Chorus room rather than out here.
"I think we're supposed to go to the Chorus room guys." Sadara pipes up, grabbing her books and such. Jenna nods in agreement and follows the girl to the room.
"You guys go ahead," M begins, flipping a page in her book, "I'll be there in a second!"
Skye pouts as she examines M. She turns her head to try to get M's attention. M just brushes her off and turns the opposite direction as she reads the book.
"Your sadness is rubbing off on me." Skye whines. M nearly slams the books as she meets the girl's eyes.
M groans. "Why does everybody think I'm sad? I'm not sad!" M yells in response, using her IPad as a mirror. Her countenance did not appear to look sad, but perhaps everyone read her emotions wrong?
"Because you're emo that's why!"
"I'm not emo!"
The room fell silent as M shouts those words. Skye sympathetically frowns while M purses her lips in annoyance. What was this girl's problem?
Suddenly, it hit her.
"You need a dark corner." M whispers as Skye's eyes go wide.
I wasn't kidding when I said I'd get revenge 😂
