Unexecpected Circumstances

Third Person POV

Klamkabot rushes over to Boboiboy, amazement and worry both etched on his features. He wondered how powerful this young boy would grow, he after all, somehow fused numerous kinds of magic at once; even including the legendary elemental magic alongside. A growth of respect for the boy grew in Klamkabot, he suspected that this wouldn't be the last time he would find himself feeling this way.

As Klamkabot neared Boboiboy, the audience were whispering amongst themselves, all of them were questioning what they had just witnessed. They felt like they were deceived, why wouldn't they? They had just seen a lost ancient magic casted right in front of their very eyes, even when it was said to have disappeared a long time ago.

"Was that elemental magic?"

"How come he can use it?"

"I don't know but I hope they tells us... we deserve answers."

Klamkabot would deal with the students later, right now, he had to help Boboiboy. Seeing how the boy kneeling on the ground, drenched in sweat, he already knew how the countless magic casting had taken a toll on his body. Boboiboy was a fast learner, he'd admit, but unlike the students of the academy, Boboiboy didn't undergo the proper body training in order maintain stability in the battlefield. In addition, he didn't have knowledge on controlling the vast magic he released, which was the reason why Boboiboy's spells usually went overboard. Due to the lack of basic education, he drained more magic energy than average.

When he finally arrived, Klamkabot kneeled beside him, looking at Boboiboy in concern. Just as he was going to say something, Boboiboy spoke softly.

"I miscalculated."

Klamkabot looked at him questionably, wondering what he was talking about, was it about a test? Boboiboy glanced at him curtly before he turned towards Adudu's direction, "Like I said, I miscalculated. Adudu. His armor is tougher than I thought." He paused before continuing in a low voice. "I tried removing the dark magic with the purification spell you taught me but somehow... it regenerated."

"I'm afraid that's impossible. Dark magic can't regenerate, especially not after receiving a direct hit from a purification spell." Klamkabot's brows furrowed, a frown on his lips. "Are you sure about what you said?"

Boboiboy stared the other side of the arena with penetrating eyes, "I can't explain it just yet... so..." He smiled, however if you look closely, the smile was tight. "You're going to have to trust me on this."

Klamkabot looked at him silently, "If what you say is true... Then this matter isn't something a student should handle."

A cackle echoed meters from them, the voice following it was dark and hollow. The students around couldn't help but shudder, the voice sounded similar yet different. Was this even Adudu?

"Sir Klamkabot, you seemed to have forgotten the rules of the Magic Duel."

Boboiboy turned his gaze towards Klamkabot and mouthed 'What rules?'. Jogging up his memories, Boboiboy tried to recall whether Klamkabot had mentioned it to him. To his surprise, nothing clicked which only meant... He looked at Klamkabot, his eyes brimming with curiosity.

Klamkabot avoided his gaze and sharply replied. "The rules of the Magic Duel don't apply on school grounds."

"Is that so?"

"Yes."

Adudu, or should we call him 'possessed' Adudu, laughed. "Then it's a good thing we aren't on school grounds."

"What are you talking about? We are clearly within the-"

Suddenly the area around them changed. Before, they were surrounded by lush green trees and tall buildings, the sky painted in beautiful blue. Now, they were in a place unknown to them, the once lush green trees were completely dried up and buildings were no longer seen, the blue sky they admired was now striking red that reminded them of blood. The atmosphere around them grew heavy as a foul stench covered the place.

Klamkabot was alarmed, "This!"

"So you noticed." A wicked grin appeared on Adudu's face.

Cough! Cough! One of the students amongst the crowd began to cough violently. With every cough, their skin turned paler and paler, black spots appearing on their bodies. While one coughed, some soon joined in, all of them resulting to the same condition. Klamkabot gritted his teeth as he glared at Adudu with immense hostility.

"You brought your fellow students to Herrock Forest, just for what? A Magic Duel?!" Klamkabot said, his frustration and anger bubbling inside his chest.

"They'll be fine... that is if that boy behind you can defeat me in 15 minutes."

"You-"

"You should tend to the students." Boboiboy's voice cut in. "I'll be fine."

Klamkabot turned to him and was about to voice his concern but was silenced by the cold gaze. "It's an order." After a few moments, Klamkabot stiffly bowed. "As you wish, Your Royal Highness."

He quickly turned around and sped towards the students, not before giving Boboiboy a glance. Boboiboy sighed as he mustered his strength to stand up, his muscles ached greatly but he gave it no care. Right now, the only thing he could think about was that Adudu- No. Whatever was possessing him needed to be defeated. If not... his eyes grew cold.

"Now I'm a bit mad..."
