Bray had lived in the underground for a few weeks now he works at grilby's and learned how to cook most food on the menu grilby actually seems to be a great guy even after he figured out bray was part human which wouldn't go to well with others once grilby asked bray why he had climbed the mountain in the first place bray told him "my memory is fuzzy on before mount ebbot but I do faintly remember my sister she wanted to prove she could protect herself by getting skilled with knives so she didn't have to stay next to me at all times but every time I try to think about her I'm suddenly overwhelmed with sadness and grief for some reason as the soul of bravery I usually try to put up with this but I have broken into tears by thinking of it to long so I'm assuming something else happened involving her that I only subconsciously remember but if I talk about her any longer I'll start crying so yeah" after that he continued working his job he made a personal cookbook and taught himself special recipes also introducing grilby to a recipe his 2nd mom as he called her had butterscotch cinnamon pie thinking on her bray planned to re-introduce himself to her after he finished work today he got a raise of 11G an hour after he had finished the most recent order he went to the bar to hang out with the regulars sans invited bray to sit next to him bray knew sitting next to sans at grilby's meant serious talk he sat down and asked "what do you want to talk about today I've picked up on your tendency to talk serious business to who ever sits here so cut the BS" sans chuckled and said "alright alright tibia honest I've been suspicious of your must-erious attitude since you showed up" he said putting a few drops of mustard on his burger bray sighed and said "I'll make it more clear get to the point you can be punny with me later when you have nothing to say" sans shrugged and said "just had to get it out of my system real quick but either way I think you already know what I wanted to talk about" bray stayed silent waiting to see if sans really knew sans continued "you really think I wouldn't notice it?" Bray instantly knew sans figured it out sans continued "your getting to be good friends with grilby huh? He's a really dependable guy" bray sighed as sans gave a chuckle and said "but seriously I know your human though" grilby almost dropped the bottle he was holding and bray almost fainted no one else heard though sans continued "don't worry bud I won't hurt you I made a promise to someone so I can't, consider yourself lucky for choosing now to show up out of nowhere but since your trying to become a resident of snowdin you probably have something deeper going on" bray sighed and then sans was briefly dragged to his post by papyrus and doggo walked in asking for a burger and a BC pie bray walked back into the kitchen to make food again and grilby made sure to play jazz on the juke box so he could calm down a bit more
