MEANWHILE IN EGYPT

" Hey lale "

I looked up from my book and smiled " HI "

My friend Annie while chewing her gum asked me " So , Are you free tonight? "

" No, I have to complete my assignment "

We were sitting in the class . The students were doing random stuff . I don't know why our professor didn't come yet .

Annie rolled her eyes and said " Of course you've to complete that assignment , NERD "

I closed my book with a exaggerating huff and said " I'm not "

She shook her head " You are ."

I was going to reply that I'm in fact not a nerd but cut off by someone . " Class stop making noises "

Everyone including me stopped and looked straight . A man in a white shirt was standing with his arm fold on his chest . for mere second I even felt his gaze on me .

Everyone started opening their notepad and here I was sitting dumb founded . Where is Mr.Robert ? Who is this guy ?

I was still staring at him when I heard him say " Miss "

Everyone's eye turned to me . In this very moment I was looking like center of attention but not in good way . Trying to hold my senses I said While standing " Me ? "

He raised his eyebrow looking angry and said " Yes you "

He stared at me and with gritted asked " What's your name ? "

I stuttered " Lale "

He nod his head " Why didn't you open your book ? "

I don't know ? I was shocked for a second ? Because I didn't thought a young guy like you would be our teacher ? " um .. "

He moved his gazed from me and announced " Class , note down in your head some point about me .First , I'm not here to tolerate weird behavior of yours . Second , When I teach something . Try to learn "

He stopped and looked straight in my eyes "and you Miss Lale"

I hold my breath "Meet me after class"

I was going to protest when he cut me off . again "Now where were we ? "

We were standing outside the class. He was busy talking to some students . I was now being impatient . Annie noticed this and soothed me .

After couple of minutes , He came out with a bright smile and said to his accompanied student " Well I hope you do good " With that the male student which I guess from other class left .

His eyes turned towards me and a frowned took over his face . Seriously ? What I did so bad ?

Annie looked at me giving me an assurance smile and said quietly in my ears " Best of luck "

I eyed her sarcastically and said to the man in front of me " You wanted to talk sir ? "

" Oh yes . Come inside Miss Lale " Annie find this her cue and left.

We were now sitting in front of each other . He was typing something on his laptop while I was playing with my fingers. Could this day can end quickly ?

He looked at me and than closed his laptop " How are you ? "

" I'm good ?? " I answered more likely a question . Is this some kind of questioning game we are playing?

He clearly noticed my irritating look and asked " Why were you not paying attention ? "

I replied while chewing my lower lip " I was just distracted "

He stared and said " You get distracted easily . " he continued " Anyway Lale , I have seen your reports "

I looked at him with wide eyes " You have ? "

" Yes and I must say your future is very bright . "

" Thanks ?? "

" I'm trying to say you should not get distract easily you know "

" I understand " I nod my head

" Well , you're lacking in security subject "

He raised his eyebrow while smiling " Any help you might need ? "

" Yeah after class I'm free and I have seen the schedule don't tell me you'r busy... "

I corrected him " I'm not "

With a bright smile he said " Very well . Meet you tomorrow than "

" Tomorrow "

I was standing up to leave when he said " by the way my name is Evan "

I nod my head " will see you tomorrow Mr. Evan "
