I switch from first person to third person throughout this chapter because I'm a mess... please bear with me....
"Esteban!" the busty brunette moans.
"Shhhh" Esteban resisted the urge to roll his eyes as she bounced uncontrollably; she reminded him of a wild rabbit. He had gone through 3 rounds trying to feel some type of pleasure but all he could think of was that beautiful dancer.
Why couldn't he get her image out of his mind?
How he wished to taste a morsel of her smooth succulent skin; to be the one to caress each tender bosom with care.
The girl collapsed onto his toned stomach, breathing heavily against his chest. "They said the bull was dead but it gave me the ride of my life" she joked through a thick accent.
Esteban chuckled painfully and leaned against the edge of the bed as a signal for her to leave. He wasn't as rude as Jamés who would tell each girl to leave as soon as he was finished with them.
As Esteban pulled up his thin night pants, Sharp throbbing pain burst against his wound. "Ouch" he cursed, grabbing his shoulder to soothe the pain.
"That bull really pierced you?" the girl ran to massage his delicate skin. Estaban pushed her hands off, annoyed at her lingering presence and stood to observe the quiet night.
"Did I do something wrong? Are you mad at me?" she pulled her dress up and ruffled through her sweaty hair.
"No ..it's just..idk I'm tired and I have training in the morning" he lied, staring relentlessly out the window.
"Then let's do this again? Maybe mañana?" she cocks her head to the side. This girl was as delusional as the others.
"I'm busy" he lied agin, dismissing her suggestion.
"All day?" she squints. Esteban ignored her retort and wrapped a clean bandage around his bruise. She began to laugh silently and turned to find out what she found so amusing.
"The girls warned me about you. I thought you would treat me differently but you are nothing but a poisonous playboy" she stands to redress.
"You should have listened to them senorita. You're not that special....I haven't even learned your name" Esteban sighed as he rested his hand against his chiseled jawline.
She came up to slap his cheek, thinking he would react to her poisonous blow. My hand moved to grip a chunk of her hair and she closed her eyes, fearful for what I would do next. "Next time, wash your crack; it smelled like spoiled fish you puta" I whisper against her lips and release her.
"ooohh!" she gasps and runs out the room crying.
I chuckle victoriously and observe the night sky. The sound of another fiesta echoed in the distance and the tantalizing smells of fried food filled the vibrant night.
Raul had ordered us 3 matadors to bed for training in the morning, but of course I was rebellious. Raul warned me to take it easy and to focus on the upcoming tournament, but I was Esteban de la Renta, most prominent bullfighter in all the land! Did he expect me to knit a quilt or bake a tray of empanadas?
——
As I pass another corner of my estate to escape, I feel a heavy tap on my shoulder.
"Going somewhere?" James teases me. I observe the girl hiding behind his back and chuckle to myself. "Yes, to another party "
"Raul won't like that" he pulls a flower from a vase and playfully pushes it into my hair.
"Last time I checked, Raul wasn't my father... and neither were you." I throw the flower to the floor.
"Just remember we have intense training in the morning. Just take it easy... you don't want a repeat of last time. You nearly die——"
But before he could finish his statement, I grab his collar and push him against the wall. "I told you not to bring that up!" I murmur angrily into his space. Why must everyone remind me of that fateful day?
"Take it easy jefe..." he holds up his palms defensively.
I let him go and push past him, opting to go to the stables instead of the party.
"Where are you going? The party is that way" he points to the door.
"Don't worry about it my friend" I curse and follow the path to the plaza del toro.
