Time Hop
Finally! We have survived to the weekend. I have been here for two weeks and already, I have been akumatized, gotten an exclusive with Cat Noir, I became a superhero, gotten an outfit designed by who is most likely the best child designer in Paris, befriended that costume designer who is also Ladybug, left my outfit in my locker (still have to remember to get that!), almost gotten akumatized as Cochon, and I gained a suspect for Hawk Moth's identity. I have also signed myself up for ice skating and violin lessons, because, why wouldn't I over-book myself in a foreign country? That would only make too much sense to allow myself enough time for school, homework, violin, ice skating, AND helping Chat Noir and Ladybug with the defeating of a villain! We also must not forget about the horror movie with Adrien's bodyguard, Adrien (only because his father didn't know about Nino and I coming and with the adult supervision of "Gorilla"), a nervous Marinette, an enthusiastic Alya who had a bored Nino's arm around her, me, and then there was Daizzi.
He was excited and squirmish, making me smile. Apparently, this was his first movie he had ever seen. After he told me that, I couldn't tell him no just because of a few jump scares. Eventually, that crazy kwami guilted me into placing him in an otherwise empty wallet.
What a jolly crew about to watch a not-so-jolly movie:
Nino sitting in the isle seat,
Alya sitting to the right of the DJ,
Marinette clutching her pink purse next to Alya,
Samatha, oh. Ha. Ha. Me, sitting between Mari and Adrien, sitting between his guard and I.
"Hey, Mari," just let me perform this one trick I had up my sleeve, please!
"Yes?" Her eyes latched onto Adrien, the kid blissfully watching the trailers. He insisted on wearing sunglasses and a gas mask, something about how he was a famous model and people recognizing him in public? Eh.
"I want to tell Alya something, mind if you and I switch seats?" She stared at me with joy and horror, Alya with pride.
"S-Sure?" She answered hesitantly, sitting in my former seat, leaving me to sit next to Alya. I elbowed Alya, the two of us conversing evily.
"Good job, girl! Five bucks says she jumps into his arms!" I doubted her prediction would come to pass, so I shook her hand to seal the deal.
"You're on."
"You girls try too much," Nino commented.
"Shut it! Movie is starting!" I shushed them all as teenage actors spoke in French with English subs. "Thanks, Alya!" I whispered to the gal.
Towards the middle of the movie, I looked to the whimpering Marinette, her feet on the chair, staring at the screen. I felt so bad for her, Alya shouldn't have even invited her or teased her; she's too scared. I offered my hand, and she responded with putting her feet down and her hand in my own. I tightened my grip to reassure her, comfort her, and I realized Adrien offered to do the same. She accepted, and although I couldn't see her face coloring, I had a feeling it had either turned white as a sheet, or pink as a rasberry. I smiled and saw his eyes go back to the screen, then Marinette's before I finally looked back. Of course the moment I looked, there was another jump scare. Mari squeezed our hands, (I could tell from Adrien's expression of pain and surprise) those few moments when the entire lot of us performed mini-jumps.
Adrien, Nino, and Alya, all had their eyes opened wide with focus, attentiveness. I looked at my wallet to see Daizz, levitating just enough above my wallet to make me feel the need to push him back down so he could avoid being seen.
"That was amazing!" Alya exclaimed as we began walking to the bus station.
"You owe me five bucks." I punched her arm, and she handed me my money.
"I think we broke Marinette," Nino piped up. Adrien put his arms around Mari and I, him standing between us. Nino's arm was still around Alya, the pair walking behind us, in front of "Gorilla". They were awesome for each other, Alya threw the fishing pole and Nino made sure she didn't through it too far.
I don't actually know how to fish, so don't hate me if you know the actual terms, if there are any.
I also have no idea why I mentioned fishing but I have no intentions of removing it so others can share the confusion...
"I hate horror movies," Marinette had hardly blinked since the movie had ended, and was now staring at Adrien with happy eyes. I rolled my eyes as he spoke in our ears.
"Don't worry, Ladybug and Cat Noir will protect you from all monsters." He put more emotion into saying Ladybug's name, adding more sincerity to Chat Noir's.
I ducked under his arm and moved to the other side of Marinette, propping my elbow on top of Adrien's wrist that was resting on her shoulder.
"Don't worry, if Ladybug doesn't show up, that Chat Noir kid'll have your back." I was trying to remind her the fate of Paris and all of it's residents doesn't fall mainly on her shoulders. "And Carapace, Rena Rouge, Cochon, maybe Queen Bee." I mean, it's Chloe. She may not be too quick to save Marinette. I winked at the girl with pigtails.
Just for laughs and hair rips, I added this sentence:
In my head, a thought came into my head:
The only thing that could make this superhero group even better while we are all in civilian form, would be if Adrien was Chat Noir. Of course, both boy's personalities were way too different to be the same.
Adrien is polite, "proper", quiet. Chat Noir, he is more outgoing. Funnier, flirtier. I could never imagine Adrien making a pun, or even flirting the way the Chat does.
...
Once I had finished listing the superheroes with my hands, my left arm still placed on the girl's right shoulder, Marinette and I ran face-first into a glass door. In our defense,
it opened quickly.
It was also not a door.
It was the wall for the train.
We are, happily...clumsy?
(That was done for dramatic affect)
To prevent my classmate from falling, I ignored my pain and put my arms behind her back, also shoving us out of the way. Adrien had the same idea, and we ended up touching each other's arms, creating a table, of sorts, behind her back.
"I've got you!" Adrien and I agreed in unison.
"I'm good!" We helped her stand properly while Alya rushed to her friend's side. They both linked arms, and walking into the train car, Nino following, beckoning Adrien and I with his arm. Once we were all seated, with the exception of "Gorilla" who stood next to Adrien on the phone, Nino (sitting next to Adrien across from us girls) began grilling me, interrogating me!
"Hey, have you unpacked yet?" He began blowing bubbles, ignoring the look given to him by "Gorilla".
"Nino!" Alya slapped his knee, but leaned forward so she could see me, showing her smile. "Have you?"
"Uh, first of all, Nino abuse." That got brighter smiles. "Second of all, no. I haven't. I was thinking perhaps after the dance I-" Alya slapped my knee.
"Girl, you're a fool if you think your friends are going to let you wait another month to unpack your room!" For better or for worse, I was now Alya's friend: A person she cared about.
"She's right, Sam." Adrien crossed over so he was sitting next to me, and I moved so he sat next to Marinette.
"By unpacking, you are saying in your own way that you are an official Parisian resident," Marinette continued.
"Which means you get Mari's epic macroons!" Nino came to sit by Alya.
Somehow, they convinced me to unpack when I got home, and I could feel Daizzi giggling in my wallet. Apparently, I am also having a house warming party?
"Guys! My mom will have to agree, and I also want a cheese platter." I had small requirements that I wanted. Alya began the invitation list, Marinette started talking about desserts, Nino would DJ, and Adrien took the cheese duty. "You guys realize this is going to take place in a small apartment, right? And-"
"Me, you, Nino, Adrien, let's do Marc and Nathaniel, who else should we invite?" Alya ignored my statements. We got off at the next stop, leaving "Gorilla" to drive Nino and Adrien back to their houses. Alya and I walked Mari home, then took Alya to her house, eventually leaving me in my room with only Daizzi and about ten or so boxes.
"So, that was a strange movie. What happens to the people once they go into the forest?" Sweet, innocent Daizz. What was I suppose to say? They die a horrible death?
"That's for the imagination to decide. They probably end up going to a beach and live happily?" He just nodded doubtfully and together we faced a great challenge: organizing, and putting away (neatly), all of my junk. How do these students have such a great impact on me?
The entire half hour, I fought the urge to curl up in a ball, surrounded by my comforter, on my newly cleared floor.
My bed was now made, complete with a blanket and pillows that had sheets. Gray bed set: My favorite color! A matching carpet that stretched across my wood floor completed the look.
I set up my desk, dressers, letting Daizz put stickers on my room. We bought pig stickers along with ladybug and cat stickers. He set it up in such a methodical way, he's adorable!
I set my mirror next to my dresser, placed off the foot of my bed.
On the other side of the room stood my wood desk that stretched from my closet and the door, when the door is completely opened. Daizzy placed his rebuilt "house" in the closet: large box with the jewelry box bed, miniature pencil and paper (I don't know why...), and since this is Daizz we're talking about, he made a DIY chandelier (don't know how), finished off with a bedazzlement of the thing. Don't even get me started on his cheese department.
"You are such a riot, Daizz!" I tickled the pink kwami's stomach, and he let out an oink sprinkled laugh that made my heart smile.
Monday finally came, and I was quite relieved. I walked into homeroom and saw Luka talking to Juleka, Adrien talking to Nino, Alya on her phone, Ivan talking to Mylene, and Rose talking to Lila. I walked over to Luka, and I had to tap his shoulder to grab his attention.
"Hello, Goose," he turned to face me.
"I am so glad that nickname stuck!" I replied with obvious sarcasm. "Anyways, I just wanted to ask if it was too late to be a backup singer for Kitty Section?" The tall boy shook his head.
"Of course not! Talk to Mari when she gets here about your costume." He turned away and left the room, saying good-bye to his sister. Marinette walked in, and looking at my watch, she was ten minutes early. I was about to approach her when I saw Nathaniel, sitting alone.
"Hey, stranger!" I sat next to him, looking at the piece of paper he had been drawing on. It was a picture of Rena Rouge, Carapace, Queen Been, Cat Noir, Ladybug, and Cochon, all of us standing behind Nathaniel as the Evilustrator, holding Marinette. The Reverser (Marc) was flying above us all on his board.
"Wow! Is this going to be the cover of your comic book?" I asked the talented boy with dark blue eyes.
"Yeah, Marc is working on the story, but he's dealing with Writer's Block. It isn't pretty." I chuckled in response.
"Samantha!" Lila sounded happy to see me, and I just turned to face her with an obviously false smile.
"Lila! It's so. Nice. To see you!" Every word hurt. My voice sounded so high, it seemed higher than Daizzi's. I stood up and went to sit in my new seat behind the two girls I consider my close friends.
"Hey, Mari! You actually managed to get to class early!" I whispered to the girl.
"I had some help with homework last night, so I was able to actually sleep." I knew she was lying, and she knew I knew. Cochon and Chat Noir took care of an akuma last night, Ladybug coming in at the last minute to take care of the de-evilization. I smiled and sat back in my seat, giving Ms. Bustier my attention as she began taking attendance.
After class, we all went our separate ways, Nino talking with Adrien, Alya with Marinette, and me, walking behind them with a smile. They-
"Come out and play, supers!" We all looked up to see a girl flying high in the sky with a dress that had baggy sleeves. She looked down at us and pointed her watch to a park bench in front of us. I almost felt bad for her; she was doing this right before Ladybug and Cochon's eyes.
Being as I was behind everyone, I slipped into a bush and transformed. "Daizzi, pig out!" Man, that was so much fun!
I hopped out, catching the girl's attention. She flew towards me with a smile, aiming her watch towards me. I dodged the green bean that came, but just hardly. She put herself so she was standing before me, a large grin plastered on her face.
"Cochon! Sorry, but you gotta go." When she aimed her watch at me, I shielded my eyes, apparently not thinking that moving would be better suitable. I awaited the beam, but heard only a grunt and the sound of glass breaking.
"Is there a damsel in distress, my piglet?" I put my arm down to see Chat Noir standing in front of me, a now broken mirror shielding us both. I was about to respond, talk about how this pig doesn't need saving. Heck, I even had my hands on my hips, my sass ready to show, when I was interrupted by the villain.
"A kitty and a pig? The moth gave me direct orders to send up you away, porkchop. You'll only distract him." Chat Noir put the mirror down, his body still facing her.
"I am the only one allowed to call her 'porkchop'!" I had never seen him looked so irritated as he lunged, throwing the mirror to the side and using his baton to fight her. She was casting beams towards him from her watch. I heard a voice come from behind me, causing me to jump.
"How very 'Reflekta' of you, with the watch?" Ladybug commented. I was getting restless, watching the black cat fight on his own, so I brought out my lasso, tying her to the bench. I began running towards her, my grip firmly on my rope as I ran towards her.
"Cochon! Watch-" Ladybug got cut off by a blinding green light. I could see nothing, blinded by the green. I tripped over something, and I opened my eyes widely as I was launched into the air, hitting a blond boy on the bench, the boy previously sitting with a girl with long hair, showing him something in a fancy box.
I scrambled off the boy as soon as I realized who it was.
"Adrien?" He gave me a kind smile, a light in his eyes, and also some concern.
"Are you alright? Who are you?" I looked down, realizing I was still in my costume.
As I answered, I hopped up and gave him a bow. "Cochon, at your service!" He looked at me like I was a stranger, and I stood up with a straight spine. "Is everything alright?"
"I just don't remember you." I didn't find that too unusual, for I had never directly met him as my alter ego. Then again, he saw the video Alya took on her phone.
"Hi, Cochon!" I turned to see Lila, standing in front of the bench. From behind her, I could see one of Marinette's pigtails sticking from behind the tree trunk a bit away. "My name is Lila!" I shook the girl's outstretched hand.
"We've met, at your school." Does nobody remember me? I mean, I have pink ears sticking from my head! I didn't know I was so forgettable. I had to go somewhere! Figure out what was happening.
Ignoring the confused looks from Lila and Adrien, I used my lasso to catapult myself into the air.
"Ladybug! Chat Noir! " I was swinging all around Paris, searching for the two heroines. "Ladybug! Chat Noir!"
"I usually wouldn't answer cat calls from a stranger." The voice from behind me came so suddenly I jumped, slipping on my ankle as I fell. Long story short, I fell face-first on a rooftop.
"Hey, black cat." I waved his hand to help me up away. "I'm fine," I answered as I pulled myself up. "Did you call me a stranger?"
"Yeah, I mean we have never met before. " He leaned on his baton, right in front of my face. "Though I would like to get to know you better." He sent me a flirtatious smile, and I returned that with a swing of the foot to knock his weapon in front of him.
"Chat Noir, we have met." He shook his head, adopting a serious expression on his face.
"No, I would know you if we had." A feeling of dread washed over my body.
"What day is it?" I asked, hoping it was March.
"February 28, why?"
"I need to talk to Master Fu, I think I just changed the past by coming from the future?" He just looked at me, a blank stare. That went...it went. "Basically, I am from the future." I clarified. I ran, knowing I had to find out how the hell I had managed to stick myself in the past.
I used my flight powers, taking the shortest route to Master Fu's building. I burst in, not caring about knocking. "Daizzi, pig in!" I "projected" towards the confused man sitting calmly. I stood in front of him and began pacing, Daizzi sitting on my shoulder. I spoke with my hands, avoiding eye contact as I continued with less than a beat. "I was helping with a villain a few moments ago then I close my eyes to find myself about a month in the past, probably disrupting the timeline so now I don't even know if there is a way to get back to my timeline or if my home will be as I remembered it!" I took a deep breath. I hadn't paused as I spoke, screamed the last words. I fell to the floor, Daizzi hopping off my shoulder to hang out with Wayzz.
"Master, this is Samantha. In the future, you will give her the pig miraculous, hence allowing the birth of Cochon." I raised my hand, my face buried in a pillow, laying on my stomach.
"Let's see what we can do about this, Samantha. Tell me everything that was supposed to happen," Master Fu replied. He was like a large teddy bear, he seemed so approachable.
Countdown
34 DAYS
Author's Note:
When I wrote the first version of this ending, I was exhausted. Falling asleep before snapping out of it. Anyways, I knew it was terrible, I just wanted to be able to post a new part at the time.
Warning, the next part will have spoilers for season three in the actual show, and it will have spoilers for this story. Please don't ignore the next part, it will have a major thing Sam will be left to think about.
Till next time, folks. Adios!
