Ezra was exhausted but once the ghost exited hyperspace he forced his way to the cockpit. Last time he saw his planet from space was when they went to destroy Thrawn's tie defender factory. When the ghost arrived over his planet the grass had grown back, the atmosphere clear and clean. Sabine followed by Thrawn joined Ezra and Hera who were in the cockpit. "Guess I was wrong about the ghost crew the whole time." Thrawn admitted, "How so?" Hera asked, "you were fighting to preserve your people's planet from the rule of the empire I once commanded and you have brought prosperity to your planet is where I was wrong." Thrawn replied, "you'll genuinely appreciate the art work of the capital." Sabine replied as they descended to the surface.

Else where across the galaxy a dozen black X-Wings joined the massive battle in the unknown region, "target engines, and deflector shields" Luke ordered the Jedi strike force. Kylo was just getting out of the broken tie fighter when he ordered the destroyer be abandoned and destroyed. The first confrontation with the first order wasn't over but the galaxy would be at war again and veterans of the first civil war will influence the course of the war.

Back on lothal ezra watched as crowds grew in the streets to see him. The news of his liberation quickly spread threw the new republic. The ghost slowed and eventually landed in the middle of the Main Street going threw the capital. Ezra Made his way down and on the ramp with cheering crowds from the same lothal Thrawn once occupied now seeing the fruit of his enemies that now have showed mercy to him. As Thrawn walked down the crowd fell silent, "Why is that chiss still alive after all he's done!" A citizen yelled and Ezra placing a hand on the mans chest, " without his knowledge of the unknown regions he wouldn't have been able to free me, he helped me escape and now Thrawn's homeworld is occupied by the first order..." Ezra replied but was cut off by Thrawn, "my goals were different back then but now I'm gonna commit myself to the republic and fight the remnants of the empire to earn your people's trust." Thrawn told the crowd which even surprised Ezra.

Hour later Ezra was at his home tower and Sabine came up and hugged him from behind. "Ah Sabine!" Ezra said in shock both the surprise of the hug. "Hey ezzy your people are throwing a celebration for your return better get cleaned up." Sabine told her love.

Evening
Sabine and Ezra jumped on Ezra's old speeder bike and even from a distance they could hear the music and fireworks. "Your people really know how to throw a party." Sabine commented which Ezra laughed. Once they sifted through the crowd and got to the city square one of the DJs switched to a slow song and Sabine drug him into the center of the crowd. Hera and the others were so happy for the couple and Thrawn Just watched just then a republic naval officer sat beside Thrawn. "Grand admiral." The Officer told him as he placed a pistol on the table. "We got two options for ya ... you become a admiral for the new republic or face a trial for your war crimes." The officer told him, "the new republic doesn't understand the unknown regions like I do and I'll help end the first order to free my people." Thrawn replies with which the officer holstered his pistol and got up and tossed Thrawn a data chip, "this is your chip to get you a ship to kuat ship yards on republic credits see ya there soon admiral." The officer told him and saluted then walked off into the crowd. 

One week later
Admiral Thrawn was given command of a new republic fleet. While Ezra and Sabine fisted krownest since they just got engaged.
