I have lied,
And I never was fine,
And now I lay here,
Hoping you'd ask me if I was sure,
Just so I can break,
Underneath this one's weight.
Why is it that not even a single tear falls,
Just waiting for you,
To ask it just right,
So that way this dam can no longer withhold giving in,
And release the long-awaited water flow,
That's been flooding my heart,
And stuffing my lungs.
I just wish that,
I didn't have to do it this way,
In front of your gentle eyes,
And in your caring arms.
My tears are what hurt me the most,
They are all I fear,
Knowing often times with the dam no longer giving in,
I have forgotten in your heart,
A place is lent to me there.
