Chapter 4: Fallen City And The Royal Tombs

*Noctis's POV*

After (Y/N) came back from her vanishing act earlier, she's been acting strange and more tense then normal. It was obvious that the others seen this as well, especially in the car as we head to Galdin Quay, where a boat would take us to Altissia. As much as I know my duties as the future of Lucis, I really don't wish to marry Luna. She and I have not seen each other in 12 years, it also doesn't help that I only see her as a friend instead of a lover like I should be. Even if it is an arrangement for a peace treaty, I rather have it in another way then be unhappy for the rest of my life. I'm hoping that with what little time I have left in my freedom, that I would be able to confess to (Y/N) my feelings towards her. She maybe a few years older, but that can't really stop me from falling for her. Looking at (Y/N), I notice a slight glint in her eyes, as if her emotions were trying to withhold from us. Placing a hand on her arm, she took a glance at me.

"You do not have to worry Noct I will be just fine." (Y/N) replies softly as I frown, not believing a word she says. "You know that you can always talk to me if you need to. I maybe a Prince while you're a Crownsguard, but I see you as my bestfriend, besides Prompto." I tell her in a hush tone, catching her attention once again. She says nothing to me as we finally arrived at Galdin Quay. "Wow, we should definitely take a break for a bit. I can't pass up the chance to dive straight into that beautiful ocean!" "Sorry Prom, we need to get on that boat. Maybe after the wedding and while Princely~ is off on his honeymoon with Luna, then us four can enjoy the beach. That sound like a plan?" (Y/N) suggests as Prompto's face lights up. "You sure that'd be a good idea? I mean, the only reason why Prompto would ever want to go in the water is to spy on some hot chicks." Gladio teases at Prompto while (Y/N) facepalms.

"G-G-Gladio! T-That's not t-true!" "Yeah right. By the look on your face, I can tell I hit a bullseye right off the bat." Gladio laughs as Prompto blushes darkly and I roll my eyes. "Really? Gladio, stop teasing Prompto and lets get a move on. As much as it does sound nice to take a break, we have to catch that boat before it leaves." I sigh in disappointment as the I knew I'd miss my chance at seeing (Y/N) in a swimsuit. Ignis and (Y/N) already walk ahead of us, ignoring the continuation of Gladio and Prompto's agreement. Going along the pier, I thought I saw (Y/N) tense up right as we reach the main center area. "I'm afraid you're out of luck." A mysteries man says as he walks towards us. (Y/N) freezes on the spot as she watches him closely, standing beside me protectively. "Are we?" "The boats bring you here." "What about 'em?" "Well, they'll not take you forth." The man says as he turns around, starching his head with an amusing smile playing on his face.

"And what's your story?" Gladio questions him as I look out towards the docks in confusion. "I'm an impatient traveler, ready to turn ship." He says as he walks in between us and once behind, he glances at me. "The ceasefire's getting us nowhere." Throwing a strange coin at me, Gladio catches it while he flashes a smile towards (Y/N), making her glare darkly at him. "What's this? Some sort of souvenir?" "They make those?" "What? No." I give Prompto a questioning look as (Y/N) takes a peek at the coin before growling lowly. "Consider it your allowance." "Yeah, and who's allowing us?" Gladio says as he stands in front of me. The man smirks at us and spreads his arms wide, as if he was mocking us. "A man of no consequence." The man replies as he walks away from us. (Y/N) watches him like a hawk as he disappears from sight. "Noctis... Something isn't right about him... Do you want me to go after him and watch him?"

"What? No, (Y/N), I can't let you do that. Even if their was something off about the guy, doesn't mean you can stalk him." I tell her as a flash of anger flickers in her eyes. "Right, like I'm going to sit back and let him go. Something isn't right and I'm going to see what it is. Gladio, Prompto, Ignis- go with Princely to see if the boats really won't take anyone. I'm going to do a little spying on mystery man." (Y/N) replies with venom dripping from her words, causing us to back up in surprise. None of us goes to stop her as (Y/N) stomps down the pier after the guy. "Man, what's her deal?" "I don't know, how the hell am I supposed to know? I say as Ignis sighs. "She is probably stressed from all the complications we've endured these past few days. With the car breaking down and then being told the boats aren't even taking anyone, probably has her on edge." "I hope you're right Iggy... I guess we should go and see if that guy was telling the truth." I tell the guys, heading towards the docking area.

*(Y/N)'s POV*

Growling as I made chase after making up an excuse for the boys, I follow my father towards the sandy beach next to a fishing shack. "I see you now reside with the boy now... My dear daughter." " "What the hell are you doing here! And for your information, Regis wanted me to go with the Prince, because he knew of your trap." I tell him as my father smiles wickedly at me. "Awe, I see...And when was the last time we seen each other?" "About 22 years ago, and I'm guessing you're still playing as the bad guy with all your recent actions." "As always, blame the Six Divine." "I rather not bring them up..." I say while looking at the orange sky. My father stands besides me with his arms crossing behind him. "Why? Because you rather not face the fact that once I die, or kill the True King, you'll be-"

"Shut up! Do not fill my head with your words! I know what is to come, but that will not happen anytime soon!" I yell in anger as I face him, vision becoming blurry. "I don't see why you grow angry? Is it because you've become close with those boys, even if they are my enemy?" "I am also your enemy until the Chosen King has claimed his throne father." I correct him as he sighs in disappointment. "If you so choose to, so be it. Do remember that I will not go easy on you at all when we do face one another." "I didn't aspect you would father. For now, this chat between us is over. I don't wish for them to grow in suspicion anymore then they have already." I reply to him as he chuckles darkly at me. "Farewell dear daughter, do see you soon~!" Father jokes as he vanishes once seeing the boys head towards me.

I huff in annoyance at my fathers actions as I look at the boys. "You okay, (Y/N)?" "Not really, lost the damn guy and started to get pissed off a bit." I lie to them as I ball my fists up. A hand soon was on my shoulder as I see Gladio trying to comfort me. "It'll be fine (Y/N), hopefully we won't have to see him anymore." "I have a feeling we'll see him again..." "Lets not think about that guy and go get some rest. That should clear our minds from what happened and take a break. Even take a swim on the beach if it'll help you out." Gladio suggests to me as the boys nod their heads in agreement. Sighing in defeat, I nod my head and start heading towards the Galdin Quay center. "At least she agreed... I hope she doesn't get anymore stressed out then she is now. She looks so tired," Prompto mutters behind me to the others as agree silently.

I pretend not to hear them as we return back to the docks for our hotel room. The sun was still up, so Prompto and Noctis ran off to swim for a bit while Ignis was gathering ingredients together to make dinner in the hotel room. For Gladio though, I could sense he was watching me from where I had perch myself on the balconies rail, away from the others for peace. "I don't understand why you are watching me when you normally keep an eye on Noct" I hum quietly to Gladio as he finally moves to sit beside me. "I know, but you've been acting a little strange ever since the car broke down back at Hammerhead. Everyone is starting to get really worried about you." "Well, you don't have to. I'll be just fine." "I highly doubt that (Y/N)." Gladio interjects as I look at him.

Shaking my head, I sigh. "I don't really understand you at all Gladio... As much as I like that you guys care about me, I really would appreciate if you guys wouldn't. We should focus on the main mission and get Noctis to Altissia." "Not going to happen in a million years, (Y/N). You are one of us, part of the team. We look out for one another no matter what... Got it? Just because we aren't in the palace anymore, doesn't mean our bond among us five will ever change." Gladio protests as my eyes widen in shock. Tears start to well up in my eyes as I look down, so Gladio wouldn't see my face. Feeling arms wrap around me, Gladio held me tightly as I cry silently. "Its going to be okay (Y/N) I got your back, no matter what. I care to much for you to get hurt, physically and mentally."

We stay quiet for sometime, not moving from one another as I lean my head against Gladio's shoulder. A sigh came from him when he felt me relax a bit. "Thank you... Gladio, for comforting me. I guess I really needed a shoulder to cry on and relieve myself of the negativity I've been holding up..." I whisper to him, starting to grow tired by the minute. "Anytime (Y/N), I'll be here for ya." Gladio smiles faintly as I close my eyes. After few minutes pass, I feel Gladio pick me up gently and carry me back inside. "Everything alright?" "Yeah, we're okay. We should probably make sure when the others get back to keep it down since (Y/N)'s asleep. I rather have her rest up since I've noticed the dark circles under her eyes. She must not be getting enough sleep..."

"Indeed, I have seen that as well..." Ignis hums as he glances at me. Gladio lays me down on one of the beds as he walks towards the door. "I'll go get the guys. Be back soon." Gladio says before shutting the door. "You can stop pretending now, (Y/N)." "You can always tell when I'm awake... creepy." "No, I'm just very observant. A major difference." I groan as Ignis places a cup of tea next to me. "I almost forgot my medication... damn." "This is for the best until you are ready to tell the others the truth. Which I do hope its soon..." Ignis says as drink my tea in one gulp. "Yes, I know Iggy. If I don't do it while we still have my mini supply of meds, then they will see the true me before I even explain. You don't have to remind me." I stretch a bit as I look at the now empty cup. Ignis places a hand on my shoulder with a sigh. "I rather not have a panic at hand if it comes to that... I won't know what their reactions would be."

"You and I both know it won't end well. Might even leave them to think of me as a monster of sorts... I can't change what I am, so maybe when we are away from the populated areas, it would be better to show them instead. Explaining this... thing isn't so easy Iggy." I tell him right before the door opens. Laying back, I go back to pretending to sleep, not wanting to speak with the others. "I guess she's still asleep..." "She looks so peaceful~, wish she'd look this adorable when awake." "I agree, but for now, lets keep it down before we wake her up with your loud mouth." "Hey! What's that supposed to mean!" Prompto hisses at Noctis while I smirk. 'This is going to be a long trip...' I thought to myself as they continue to bicker at one another.

*Timeskip*

Morning arose and the air was unbearably tense, hard to breath mostly. I open my eyes, feeling my heart become heavy. I knew what happen at the capital. Sitting up, I look up to see Noctis was still asleep as Prompto and Gladio were standing around, Ignis was nowhere in sight. "Morning, where's Ignis..." I question the two as I stood up. "He went out for a bit... said he be back as soon as he could. How are you feeling?" Gladio replies with a small glint of worry in his eyes. "I am better now... though I have a feeling this morning is going to get turned upside down soon." I mutter the last part to myself as Noctis started to wake up. "Heya, morning." "Where's Specs?" "Should be back any minute now." Gladio says right as the door open with a sober looking Ignis entering. "What's that look for?" Noctis askes while I look away from Ignis's eyes, tears wielding up by the second.

"So... It was to happen..." I whisper to myself as Noctis frowns at me in confusion and Ignis hands the newspaper to Gladio. "It's in all the papers." "What is?" Noctis questions them as I shed a tear. "Insomnia... falls?" Prompto says outload as the room turns to ice. I burst into tears as I try to catch myself from falling. Grabbing onto the bed, I cover my mouth, trying to silence the cries. "What!? This your idea of a joke?" "I need you to calm down so I can explain." "I'm as calm as I'm gonna get!" Noctis says in anger pouring from his words. "There was an attack. The imperial army has taken the Crown City." "As treaty room tempers flared, blasts lit the night sky. When the smoke about the Citadel had cleared, the king was found... dead." Gladio says as I start to ball my fists together. Prompto goes to comfort me, hugging me tightly while holding back his tears.

"No, wait, hold on..." "We had no way of knowing." Ignis says before I cut him off. "Y-Yes we did..." I whimper out as the boys froze, looking at me slowly. Noctis's fist ball up as he shakes his head. "No... there's no way you would have known this... could you?" "Y-Yes... I k-knew this would ha-happen. I would have stayed with your father, but he wished for me to be with you because of a promise I made long ago..." I reply to him, looking at the burning anger rising in his eyes. Taking a step towards me, Gladio grabs Noctis's arm to hold him back. "WHY! WHY DIDN"T YOU TELL ANY OF US!" "BECAUSE THEN YOU WOULDN'T HAVE LEFT THE CITY! YOUR FATHER WANTED YOU TO BE SAFE AND LIVE ON TO BE KING! HE KNEW IF YOU STAYED THERE DURING THE TREATY, YOU WOULD HAVE DIED! YOUR FATHER KNEW THE TREATY WAS A SETUP AND WANTED YOU TO BE LONG GONE BEFORE THE ATTACK HAPPENED!" I yell at Noctis, causing him to step back in fear along with the others.

Tears continue to fall from my eyes as I stood up, rushing out of the room from them all. "(Y/N)!" Gladio calls out to me as I ignore him. I didn't hear him follow me, but I knew they all felt betrayal by me. 'Regis, I'm so sorry for not disobeying your orders... I wish I could've went back and saved you before this tragedy happened, so Noctis won't have to feel so emotional now.' I thought to myself as I ran off the pier and on to the beach shore. My heart beats faster as my emotions and thoughts collide with one another. Sitting down, I bring my knees to my chest trying to calm down. 'Damnit, why did this have to happen! I never wanted to hurt Noctis...' I thought to myself as clutch my hands against my head. Lost in my own world, I didn't sense another person coming towards me before I felt a gentle hand on my head. "(Y/N)" Ignis says as he kneels down to my level. "I know you were just following orders... No one is blaming you. It caught us off guard... especially Noctis after hearing the news."

I refuse to look at him, feeling overwhelm about the events. Never in my life have I ever felt this way before, and I didn't like it one bit. "(Y/N), the others are waiting to depart back Insomnia..." "I do not see the point of going back when the city has been partly destroyed and conquered by the Imperials... Our mission is to keep Noctis safe and make sure he takes the throne." I mutter under my breath as Ignis sighs. "I know, (Y/N). But you must understand that they wish to see it with their own eyes. To see if the city has truly fallen..." Ignis says, standing up with his hand held out to me. Looking at his hand, I gently grab it and pull myself up. Heading towards the car, I see the solemn looks on each one of them. Not bearing to spare a glance or a word, we silently get in the Regalia, starting our trip back to the Crown City.

It took some time to arrive back, well, until we found a blockade. "Up ahead!" "They've set up an inspection point." "If the road up ahead's blocked, then we find a way around." Gladio replies as I watch the soldiers stand guard. Driving off road to our left, we find ourselves able to get closer to our main goal. Stepping out, I rush over to the stone stairs and around the brick wall to meet five enemies on guard. Anger took over me as I summon my weapon and start to attack, not waiting on the others. Slicing a guy in half, I kick another enemy as his friends try to shoot me. "Hey! Watch yourself, you almost got shot!" Gladio yells as he deflects a few bullets. "Yeah, yeah. I know, you don't have to tell me. I can handle a few shots." "I rather not see you get hurt, remember what I said the other day?" I groan in annoyance as I take out another guy.

Looking back, I see the Noctis and Ignis work together killing the last enemy while Prompto takes a few pictures. "Really Prompto! This is no time for pictures!" "Sorry, I couldn't help myself." Prompto chuckles nervously at me. Shaking my head, we continue deeper into the swarm of enemies until every single one was dead. "Where do they keep coming from?" "Can't imagine what it's like inside." Prompto says worriedly as we run faster, watching as more Imperial ships fly into the city. "We should find an vantage point to see what is going on... That's the only way to see the city. If we continue this way, we might see one." I say right as more enemies arrive to attack us, along with the MTs. "So these are MTs." "Empty humanoid soldiers, soulless and merciless." Ignis explains as I knock an MT over, stabbing it in the head. Black smoke rose from it, getting me curious. "This doesn't look right..."

The MTs were taken down one by one, but hit the boys pretty rough, even got Prompto needing a healing potion. "Gladio, attack the front and I'll aim for the back." I yell to him as he nods his head. Gladio swings his Claymore at the MTs chest, causing it to stagger before I land the killing blow with a swift stab through the chest. More black smoke could be seen, but the others don't notice it at all. "Nice teamwork, didn't know you two could fight so well with each other." Prompto compliments us which causes Gladio to chuckle. "Thanks, but right now, we gotta see the damage done to the city." I say right as a static noise starts to come from my phone. "... As to ceasefire discussion between the two nations, all provisional terms have been suspended in light of recent developments... Moreover, in the wake of the news of the King Regis's death, we've now received word that Crown Prince Noctis and the Oracle Lunafreya have also been pronounced dead..."

I look at my phone as they look at me in shock. "Keep it on!" "I don't think that's a good idea.." I sigh as I could see the Noctis form tense up. More Imperial ships start to fly over us towards the city as Noctis gets a hold of someone. "H-Hello. Cor?" Noctis says as I stand back, looking at the carnage of Insomnia. "The hell's going on? ...Outside the city with no way back in." Noctis replies before his eyes flash red. "'Makes sense'? Are you serious? What about any of this makes sense!? The news just told me I'm dead- along with my father and Luna." I could feel the rage radiate around him as we watch him carefully as his eyes widen and turns back to look at Insomnia. Silence fills the air as he answers quietly, hanging up his phone. Stepping up, Ignis questions Noctis. "What did the marshal have to say?" "Said he'd be in Hammerhead..." "And the king?" Silence falls once again as we face the city, for one last time.

*Timeskip*

After arriving in Hammerhead to see Cor, we only receive his message through Cid, telling us to meet him at the first royal tomb. Apparently, one was close by the Prairie Outpost, northwest of Hammerhead. So, as we venture further out, the boys talk amongst themselves to figure out what to do now. I stay quiet, for the sake of not ruining the mood that seems to get worse around me. 'What am I going to do... If I don't find a way to stop father, then at this rate, Noctis could end up dying. I swore to protect him no matter what, and yet I failed to protect Regis... What kind of guard am I. I've lived for almost a millennia and I didn't even bother to stop father those years ago when we finally met again. I was played as a fool for letting him leave...' I thought to myself, not even noticing the car wasn't moving anymore. Looking around me, I see the boys went on ahead while Gladio had his hand on my arm.

"(Y/N), will you be alright? You can stay he-" "I'll be fine, Gladio. I just needed sometime to think... Lets catch up with the others." I tell him before stepping out and walking away from him. I could hear him sigh, knowing he has concerns for me. I frown at the thought of why he suddenly was getting closer to me. 'Must be my imagination...' Shaking my head, reach the other boys with Gladio following suit as I spot Noctis talking with Monica. "I see you are safe Monica, where're all the other Crownsguard?" "Most of the Crownsguard didn't make it." Monica says before turning to Gladio. "Also, we escorted Lady Iris out of the city. Dustin is with her as we speak, seeing her the rest of the way to Lestallum. So she will be in good hands, Gladio." "I owe you guys big time." Gladio sighs in relief as to hear his sister was safe. Nod my head while I check my phone.

"I'm guessing Cor is waiting for us at the royal tombs?" "Indeed he is, do make haste before night arrives. The daemons can get pretty bad out there..." Monica warns us as she walks away. Sighing, I start jogging down the dirty path with the boys in tow. "Can't keep up with this guy." "First the Crown City, than Hammerhead, then the royal tomb?" "His nickname should have been 'Cor the Restless'." Ignis comments as a chuckle comes out of me. "True, but its not as catchy as 'Cor the Immortal'." "Yeah, but its funny how he's called that even though he's mortal like any other human..." I snicker loudly as the boys agree. 'Besides, I'm truly the immortal one here in this group... At least each side is now somewhat equal, both having to deal if an immortal as their enemy.' I thought to myself. Passing through a chain-link fence and defeating a few daemon's along the way, we finally spot the first tomb of many with Cor residing within.

"Marshal." "At least, Your Highness." Cor greets Noctis as I look at the coffin before me. 'Seeing the past Kings like this is nerve-racking... I hope that once this is all over, no more blood will have to shed.' I thought as Noctis questions his calling. "Now is not the time to question your calling. A king is sworn to protect his people." "And yet he chose to protect only one prince. Was that his calling? Forsake the masses to spare his own son?" "How long will you remain the protected? The king entrusted the role of protector to you." Cor argues back as Noctis flares up in rage, seething with the pain and sorrow of his consuming emotions that surround him. "'Entrusted' it to me? Then why didn't he tell me that? Why did he stand there smiling as I left? Why-" Noctis yells as he slams his hands down on the stone coffin.

Bowing his head, Noctis's voice strains. "Why did he lie to me?" Everyone looks away from him as I place my hand on his shoulder. "Noctis He didn't want you to remember him as the king... With what little time you had left with him, he wanted you to see him as your father..." I say quietly to him as Cor nods his head. "(Y/N) is correct. He always had faith in you, that when the time came, you would ascend for the sake of your people." "Guess he left me no choice..." Noctis says as I move away from him. Reaching out his hand, the sword glows brightly and merges with Noctis, adding into his Royal Arsenal for future use. "The power of kings goes with you, Your Majesty. Also, that's not the only power your forebears left, for this is only the beginning of your journey." Cor says before turning to the rest of us. "Another tomb lies close by, I suggest you all head there next."

"Alright, we will Cor. Besides, I already know all the locations of the tombs, so I'll be able to guide them all." "I figure you knew them already, but just make sure that they are all safe when going through them. Each one is different and challenging to reach. Either way, I'll go with you, for the time being. Not only to help, but to get a measure of Noctis's strength." Cor warns as I wave him off, already knowing the dangers. "So be it, lets get a move on. Not moving around will get me impatient as much as I am now." "Yeah, I gotta agree with (Y/N). Standing here will do us nothing." Noctis says, walking of the tomb with us following him. "(Y/N), Cor mentioned another tomb being nearby and since you know where they are, you wanna tell me?" "Well, since its the closest to us, it would be in the Keycatrich Trench. Its deep within a crypt inside the tunnels."

"Sounds creep... Also, how do you know the locations?" "I studied the land for many years... Didn't bother to tell anyone about them so they wouldn't be messed with. Its rather rude to bother the dead, but the kings know why you go to them." I say as I start to take some sabertusks that were getting in our way. With Cor fight beside us, we reach the entrance of the trench with ease after avoiding the Imperial army surveying the land. "Here's where we go our separate ways. Take this key, it unlocks the doors to the other tombs. Have (Y/N) guide you to the others, and lay clam to the power they hold. You'll need it." "And what will you do?" "Keep an eye on the Nifs. Find out what they're up to. But you should focus on your own task." Cor replies as he disappears from our sights. Shaking my head, I turn my back to them and trend myself forward.

"Stop with the chit-chat and head in. Keep it real, okay? This is going to be somewhat tough on you guys since it'll be your first time in here." "Hey! Slow down (Y/N)! You gotta wait for us!" "Then you guys better keep up or I'll leave you guys behind to find your own way around here." I warn teasingly at them as Prompto becomes nervous. Noctis rolls his eyes as walks in front of me. "Like we're going to lose sight of you. Besides, since you are acting as our guide, try not to scare Prompto too much." "Noct! Why you gotta embarrass me like that!" "Because I can, and I know you'll get scared either way without (Y/N) meaning to." "Ha ha, very funny, smartass..." I sigh while Noctis snickers behind me. Going further into the tunnels, Noctis and Prompto question everything they see while Ignis answers them. 'They are like little toddlers, their curious filled eyes looking everywhere... Guess that'll happen when you're stuck in the city for so long.' I chuckle to myself. Turning to our right, I open a rusted door as it creaks echo throughout the tunnel.

"God I hate that noise! Now I'm starting to feel eyes on us, are you sure the next tomb is down here (Y/N)?" "Prompto, stop whining already and yes, I've been down here before many times." I reply back as I see movement in the dark. "And for the feeling of being watched, its probably some low leveled daemons. So you boys better get your weapons ready and be alert, I can sense a fight is about to happen." "Really? Low level daemons? It doesn't matter if its high leveled or not, its still a daemon that could pop up behind us and BAM!" Prompto says dramatically as Gladio kicks a can with a smirk on his face. Prompto shrieks in fear as he glances around. "What was that!?" "My bad, kicked a can." "You are killing me here, big guy! Are you trying to give me a heart attack or somethin'!?" Prompto glares at Gladio as he holds back a chuckle. "No, that's my job. Besides, if your so scared, then go back to the entrance and wait for us to finish. Wouldn't want ya to faint while we're down here~." I laugh a bit.

Before Prompto could retaliate, the sounds of groaning metal caught the boys off guard. "Stop screwing around you two and focus on the task. Whatever that was, daemon or not, it's playing with us. Like (Y/N) said, we have to stay alert." Gladio became serious as my as eyes caught a crawl-in space off to the side. "Lets go through here, taking the double metal doors down the tunnel won't be any use. By going underneath, we'll get through the tunnel a lot easier. Just make sure not to hit your heads while crouching." I warn just before hearing a whine in pain coming from Noctis. Shaking my head, I question why no one listens to me. Moving long with the tiresome mission, we finally reach the tomb entrance after facing off the daemons blocking our path. "Here we are, final stop, Tomb of the Conqueror. Open this up and get the axe so I can have a nap soon." I yawn tiredly with the effects of what happen earlier hitting me hard.

"I agree with (Y/N), it's well past midnight now and we must prepare ourselves for Lestallum in the morning..." "Can we stay at a hotel tonight?" "Nah, camping would be a lot easier to do. There's nothing wrong with sleeping in the outdoors." Gladio interjects as I nod in agreement. Once Noctis opens the tomb, a cold shiver rushes down my spine. Retrieving the axe, I could sense Noctis growing in power, but it doesn't do much for him. "So, Noct borrows the old kings' powers?" "More or less. At this rate, he'll soon rival his father's legacy." "The Copycat King." "Out of line." Noctis growls as I grow impatient. With in a blink of an eye, I was already at the entrance of the tunnel with my back leaning against the wall. "Wonder how long it'll take them to get back..."
