We're Tired Parents
Narrator's POV
"We're home!" Peter shouted coming in.
Something suddenly raced toward him and threw him on the ground.
"Ah! Wade! Help!" He shouted.
Wade laughed.
"Huh? What?" Peter looked up, only to see a golden retriever on top of him. "What the? Where did..." He sat up.
In front of him stood his two dads and Oliver, who was holding a cat.
"Surprise!" Oliver said.
"What is going on?" Peter asked.
Wade helped him up.
"We went to the adoption center while you were gone." Tony said.
"That's Rex." Oliver pointed at the dog beside Peter.
Rex barked and spun around, sitting on the ground.
Peter smiled. "I like him."
"And this is Sassy." Oliver said, holding up a Birman cat. "She has very soft fur."
Peter looked up at his dads. "This is perfect."
Stephen and Tony smiled at him.
"We're glad you like them."

"Alright everyone." Sam said as he took a seat upon a round circle of chairs at the Avenger's Compound. "Anything in specific that you'd like o talk about?"
"Oh." Scott raised his hand. "The eagles won yesterday."
Clint looked at him. "Oh, you watched the game yesterday?" He then noticed scratches all over Scott.
"What game?"
Sam laughed. "Alright. Let's do an exercise today. It's called The Box."
"Alright, what are we doing?" Bucky asked, crossing his arms.
"Imagine if someone handed you a box full of things that you've lost throughout your life. What would be in it?"
Tony raised his hand. "My will to live. I haven't seen it in fifteen years."
"Metal stability...my old friend." Stephen said.
"It's costs four hundred dollars to see a therapist, but it costs nothing to tell myself it be like that sometimes." Tony explained.
"Tony, please. This is the fifteenth time this week." Stephen whispered softly.
Everyone looked at the two.
"Tony, you're literally a billionaire. Please go see a therapist." Scott said.
"Could you two lighten up a little?" Rhodey asked.
"I think..." Sam started. "You two need a vacation."
"Oh, no, no, no." Tony said. "I can't leave those three alone for one minute."
-Flashback-
"Iron Dad! Dr. Dad! Watch this." Peter said, rushing down stairs with Levi. He nudged Levi. "Okay, do the thing."
Levi dabbed.
Peter smiled at his dads.
Stephen was confused, yet disappointed.
Tony smiled. "Wow, that's amazing kid."

"Peter, how would you like your-oh." Stephen said as he noticed Peter coming into the kitchen still dressed in his pajamas and his hair over his eyes.
There were really dark bags under his eyes.
He walked toward the fridge and grabbed the orange juice carton.
"My name is Shadow, I'm the same dangerous E boy your parents warned you about. I've seen one episode of anime on Netflix, and now this is who I am. I'm different, but I'd rather be different than fit in." Peter coughed and took the lid off the cartoon. He drank straight out of the carton and made his way to his room.
Tony stood there in silence, watching Peter wall away.
"Is he alright?" Stephen asked.
"I don't know." Tony whispered.

"Well, I guess I'm too tough to cry now." Oliver said, coming into the living room, puffing his chest out.
His two dads were sitting on the couch.
"You were just crying about snakes." Tony told him.
Oliver teared up. "They don't have any arms."
"Look what you did, you idiot." Stephen smacked Tony in the back of the head.

Peter and Wade came into Tony's shop, catching him in the act of welding.
"Iron Dad, can we borrow your suit for a video?" Peter asked.
Tony really wasn't listening to them. "Sure, whatever."
"Thanks!" Peter said, running back up stairs.
Tony continued to work on.
"This bitch empty-"
He heard Wade.
Tony's head perked up suddenly. "PETER NO!" He raced up stairs.
-Present Day-
"That's just been the past sixteen hours." Tony explained.
"I honestly feel like you guys could use a trip." Clint said. "Relax a little, you know?"
"Yeah." Wanda said.
"You know what?" Tony said.
Stephen looked up at him, raising a brow. He was sitting next to Tony with his arms and legs crossed.
"It's time for Tony and Stephen to take a stand." Tony said staying up.
"Why is your name first?" Stephen asked.
"Because I'm older." Tony said.
"I'm taller." Stephen said.
"You and your stupid short jokes. I swear." Tony said.
Stephen couldn't help but crack a smile.
"God, you two fight like an old married couple." Bucky rolled his eyes.
"We've only been married for six years." Stephen said.
"About to be seven in two days." Tony told Stephen, smiling.
"Then this is the perfect time for a trip. Celebrate your anniversary somewhere fun." Wanda said.
"That does sound fun." Tony nodded.
"It is a wonderful idea, but where would we find a sitter for the kids? With Thor gone and Loki..." Stephen sighed. "Well...let's not discuss that matter."
Everyone fell into a mournful silence.
"I could...come over and watch them if you'd like." Bucky spoke all of a sudden.
Everyone looked up at him.
"Wade and I get along pretty well. I could also teach Peter how to deal with his current situation." He tapped his metal arm. "And I could finally meet your youngest."
Everyone smiled at Bucky.
As tough as he looked, he was such a softy on the inside.
Stephen smiled at him. "I'm sure he'd appreciate that. He's been having a hard time adjusting to the arm."
"Wait, the kid has a metal arm?" Sam asked. He looked at Bucky, who waved at him. "They're multiplying."
"How did that happen?" Rhodey asked.
"Did he lose it during the battle?" Clint asked.
"He saved my life. He's a brave kid. He's twice as brave as any of us." Tony said.
"Tony." Wanda looked at him. "Calm down. We understand." She nodded. "It's okay."
"Okay." Sam stood up. "Thank you Tony and Stephen, for entertaining us all. Unfortunately, that's all the time we have today." Sam made everyone stand up. "I will be seeing you next week, and Stark."
"Yep?" Tony turned to Sam as he folded his chair.
"Take a break man. The restless nights are started to leave bags under your eyes."
"What?" To y turned to Stephen, who was giving him a nervous smile. "Oh my gosh. Why didn't you tell me?"
"I didn't want to hurt your feelings." Stephen said. "You're pretty sensitive."
"Sensitive?" Tony was shook. "I'll show you sensitive."
Everyone made their way out of the room, laughing a little.
"Sam, what did you do?" Bucky asked.
"Oh, come on. It's funny." Same laughed.
"You're right." Bucky agreed.
